I HATE moving but I have to say that the movers from Rhino Relocation were absolutely excellent! They were right on time, careful, and they came equipt with every tool and supplies needed. They took no breaks despite a tremendous heatwave, and took time to not only wrap our things but unwrap them at our new house. I can't say enough good things about this moving company! From the initial phone call to the final piece of furniture being placed, the experience was seamless. The movers came on time and you could tell they were very experienced. The service was quick but not rushed. I had no problem with getting our home moved. I feel they were transparent and up front about a few things. We had packed all our boxes before hand, but did say there would be a cost for a few other things. DO NOT CONTRACT THIS SERVICE! ABSOLUTELY WORST EXPERIENCE!!! Will be filling further with FMCSA/ATA/ and Police. This company is CRIMINAL! Everything this company does is operated 3rd party or sub-contracted work. This makes it easy for them to have complete lack of responsibility and is a huge liability scam. So far my communication is with Anna, Jasper, and Sharon. None of which have been able to speak directly with us. Only pre-generated emails from them. Clearly a regional manager needs to step in here; as a physical discussion needs to take place. Thousands of dollars in damage to my house, furniture and complete missing items. Currently in the midst of a claim process where they are offering a gross settlement of $391.00. This doesn't even come close to a replacement value. We paid over $15,000.00 for this move. CSI is the 3rd party insurance company and they have completely disregarded all documentation to support our claim. We now have to re-communicate that all documentation has been supplied, and review one by one. AGAIN!!!!! The delivery was a complete nightmare. There was one guy who must have been under the influence; because he was moving large items up our stairs without any help. He damage several areas of the home. I have photo evidence. I was matched to Rhino Relocation through a move broker. Using a move broker was a bad move and I have learned I'm never using a moving broker again....they made a stressful time already complex. The move itself was done very well - Mauricio and his team did a great job packing up final items I needed packed, and they took out already packed items carefully, thoughtfully, and efficiently to their truck. Mauricio also was very clear explaining to me how costs are based on cubic feet (something my move broker never made clear....) Anna from customer service also was extremely responsive (when my moving broker was not!) and was very helpful. Also, the delivery team who delivered my stuff in Miami was excellent. The reason I am giving a four-star review is because working with a moving broker complicated things, A LOT. My moving broker and Rhino weren't completely coordinated the day of pickup on costs (my moving broker's estimate was too low even though they claimed to have given me extra space "to be safe" in my quote), so having to recalculate the costs and how much I had to pay my moving broker vs Rhino was incredibly stressful. Mauricio refused to do anything for pickup until I signed forms, which I understand, but I also felt I couldn't sign forms with new cost numbers until my moving broker gave approval, and he seemed not to be understanding about that. On top of that my moving broker wouldn't pick up the phone until I called them 5+ times, and then when they finally picked up, their cost calculations differed from Mauricio's, and THAT was another whole mess that should not have been on me to coordinate or figure out. Furthermore, I could see Mauricio getting very frustrated which was not pleasant for me during the period of a stressful move. He accused me of not wanting to sign important papers or pay, which was pretty offensive to me - I was well within my rights to want to be sure that my move broker and Rhino were aligned on costs and everything was set up properly given changes before I signed legally binding documents, and that lack of patience and empathy left a pretty poor taste in my mouth. My takeaway is that if I had just found Rhino directly instead of going through a move broker, everything would have gone much more smoothly. However, I would recommend Rhino train their team to be understanding if customers are working with move brokers to be patient about ensuring Rhino and the move broker are aligned on costs and numbers if things have to change day of. It's not pleasant to be threatened with "I can just leave and you won't get your stuff moved" when you're dealing with cross-country move stress and complexity. And it shouldn't be on the customer to have to try to negotiate or coordinate between the moving company and moving broker when costs have to be recalculated. read more

Rhino was contracted to handle my move through a high end moving broker. I was nervous because I have had very bad experiences moving. The first moving company they put me with didn't understand the level of stuff I had. I cancelled. Rhino? Well they understood but almost took it as a challenge to do it all in a day. Since no one believed me that it was going to take 2 days to pack - I had Rhino take it - and I'm glad I did. I'm a third generation workaholic. My stuff is how I rationalize it. TV's, statues, safes, arcade cabinets, endless amounts of art. I'm not bragging - it's actually quite the opposite of a brag when it comes time to move. It gets very expensive and very quick. I lived in LA for 14 years. Went from being homeless to living in a huge place - but it had come time to relocate to Texas. Let's cut to the chase: Mauricio showed up at 7:30AM to my 2B/2B+L+P penthouse with an arrival window of 8:00AM-10:00AM. I said "you really think you can do this all in a day?" and he goes "Yes. Why do you think I'm here?" From that point forward - it was on. It was a 6 person team and these guys showed up to play ball. Everything from that moment on was a whirlwind. Tape flying, boxes spinning, speciality protective bins being built around my arcades, dolly's rolling, inventory stickers, and all 6 guys moving FAST. They made sure all 30+ pieces of art got crated correctly. Mauricio was on them, but he worked hard as well. That's good leadership. I tried my best to keep up but was drenched in sweat after just 3 hours. Then things got crazy. The power goes out to my entire block in North Hollywood. Are you KIDDING me?! 14 months and this has never happened. Elevators are gone. Lights are gone. Everything. I'm on the penthouse floor of a 50+ foot building. What did Rhino do? They kept going and used the stairs. That's hard core. Just walking up those stairs will leave you winded. My 20 foot ladder got packed early and there was a wooden sign from my fathers first business mounted 18 feet up on the wall. Priceless to me. What did Rhino do? Tony, a super cool guy who was happy talk about positive spiritual stuff, drove me in his truck to get a ladder to retrieve the sign. That's going above and beyond. The power came back on after several hours, but these guys worked deep into the night. Mauricio had to raise the price of my move by quite a bit because the original estimate of cubic feet was way off (I'm talking more then 2x off....) but I didn't mind because he did it by the numbers. There was a previously determined RATE and he simply used that as a multiplier for the new space. No fancy new words, charges, or tariffs. I feel I owe karma on getting this company/this load team - so I'm going to write a little more. No move is perfect. They are hard and they are complicated. The logistics industry is run by heavy's. Heavy's don't care about you once the liability is out of their hands. With that said, I messed up. The inventory sheet I signed during this 12 hour pack and load (probably another 6 hour unload at their wear house) wasn't write. They never are on moves this big - but you are suppose to look after big items so while your stuff bounces around between 5 teams and travels across the country - your priceless _____ doesn't get lost in the sauce. I did just that. I signed a sheet that didn't have ______ correctly listed. Full blown panic attack. I blew it. "Ball fumbled in the 4th quarter" moment. No I didn't. You know why? Because the people over at rhino proved there is some honestly left in this world. They placated me by sending in Mauricio to take a photo of the ______with a new inventory lot number paper taped to______, and then text me the photo. That right there? That's why I will ALWAYS love California and the 818. The people of Reseda and the entire SFV and the whole of LA are MY people. That was my home and my heart for my entire adult life. Us people of LA get a bad wrap because we can hustle a little too hard and maybe not be the nicest....but when your friend or client is in trouble or tripping out? We got you. We got your back. We aren't gunna put a knife in it. Rhino had my back. I'll be forever grateful for that. The unload went well and it will take me a few weeks to open all this up and check condition, but I can safely say everything up until now came out damn good. 14 Days from pick up to delivery. Not too shabby for it being the new year and 'Covid Panic Pandemic Move Around' madness. Not too shabby at all. This was a full service move that cost 5 figures at the quote and then went UP on the move day, and I'm ok with that. This is your life you're moving - not exactly something you should cheap out on. We have done three moves in three years. The other two went smoothly and professionally. The move with Rhino was a horrible experience. They subcontract with truckers who are rude, scammers. When doing the pickup, they walked in and said the move was going to cost 50% more than we were quoted and then went and sat in their truck until we agreed to pay more. It was a cross country move from California to Mpls and it was very hard to pin down a date we would receive our things after we agreed on a window of time. We needed to stay in a hotel until the day before after bugging them continuously to get an actual receipt date. Two guys from Champion Movers out of Vegas showed up with a terrible attitude. Right away they said it would cost more and they wanted to cash before they would unload so they went again and sat in their truck until we agreed to pay more. As the trucker stated "I've been moving things for 24 years and this is how the game is played." SCAM ARTISTS!!!! My mom spoke with this company and sent a deposit after getting a quote of around $5800. We explained we have a two bedroom townhouse, a one bedroom apartment, a garage, and a storage unit. When they showed you to pick up the items they came in to see what we had and said they didn't think it would fit. He led me to the truck to show me the "1200 cubic feet" they had reserved for us and claimed that we didn't tell them the right information. This was two days before our one-way flight from Los Angeles to South Carolina. They did a new estimate and said it would be $11,000. So we had to cancel. That led up to us having to scramble to get our things out of the apartment and townhouse the next day, which was supposed to be our cleaning day. We were able to get my mom's things to storage. My items were on a 26 foot Uhaul truck to be put in storage on the following morning before our flight. The truck was stolen with my entire life in it. As of June, I had lived in L.A. for exactly 9 years and never had any issues. My things, just gone! If this company had given a correct estimate and picked up the items, I would still have my apartment. Many of my items were irreplaceable. The antique Queen Anne armchairs and hand carved coffee table with 3/4 inch glass top, that were in the sitting room of my childhood home that I wasn't allowed to sit on at the time, were given to me by my grandmother. I'm 40, just to give reference to how old the items were. My 107 pairs of shoes and boots, including several pairs of Jeffrey Campbell's, purses, 215 pounds of clothing, jewelry, kitchenware, flat ironS, curling ironS, brushes and combs. Everything I owned is gone because they tried to scam us. Despicable!!! There is no way they could fit everything we listed on the inventory into this space and they knew it. Update: Yes, the person below is apologizing. I see it. But, my mom still has to figure out moving her things from one coast to another. Do NOT hire this moving company unless you want 10,000 worth of damage and only a 160 dollar Reinbursment (which I still have not received from last June) . Not only did my quote go up double but so many things were "missing" and to top it off we just had a check book that was in one of my drawers which my fault for not packing , but someone wrote a 2,000 check and tried to cash it via atm machine. The manager did find my two mattresses and bookcase and paid for our hotel until they were delivered , but unfortunately even after continuing to go back and forth with our claim the most they offered us was 160.00 and we are out of pocket 20,000 worth of damages, missing and extra costs . These people are extortionists! This is my second review of them. I took my first one down because Marrie Montgomery, the"accounts manager" called me and demanded that I remove my review. "That she will work with me" if I took down my review. I did that. Why? Because they'd already gotten about $18k $3100 deposit and additional $15k + from me and to this day they still have my furniture. They are holding it hostage while they think of clever way to start more money from me. I have nothing to lose now by posting this "review" as I'm convinced I'll never see my furniture again. Bellerman Transport dba Rhino Relocation are con artists. They don't even have a building where you can go talk to them. Google their address on Sherman Way in Reseda, Van Nuys or LA depending on what site you look at. I asked to see their tariff, they must provide by federal law, they don't have it. I asked to see what in writing they have that allowed them to charge me "late fees" or "storage fees" even though they claim to give 30 days storage for free. They told me to refer to their tariff that they can't provide, in violation of federal law. They will quote you one price but show up 3 hours late. Coerce you, berate you, intimidate you or promise you all sorts of remedies, but they lie. Lie . Lie. I have the documents, the recorded phone calls and the emails to prove what a bunch of theives this company is. Email me and I'll tell you the nightmare this company has put me through and continues to put me through since they still have my furniture and they are holding it hostage for another... at this writing..$10,490. That figure will change when they read this review as in... increase. They have acknowledged that they were "upset" by one of my emails, because the word I used "pestering" and were ready to wave some of their ridiculous fees until I sent them that email. But after that email they won't wave the inflated baseless fees. I can show you emails they sent me that stated I am not allowed to mention any complaints on social media, with the BBB, with any governing agencies, etc. Do they really think they can infringe on my constitutional rights? The price goes up as they load. If they can't get a semi truck to either your old or new address they charge you a lot more. They deliver when they feel like it and not before. They damage most of your stuff and lose the rest. When you try to file an insurance claim the first thing they ask for is your reciept for when you bought it no matter what it is. We got about 12 boxes that weren't ours and caught a few upon delivery that we had them load back up. We were short about eight boxes of our own but because they delivered someone else's things the count was okay. They were happy to come back and get boxes that weren't ours but made no effort to locate ours. Horrible experience. Read every word on the contract and know you have no recourse when they damage and lose things and deliver months late. Rent a truck and hire people to help load and unload. read more

We used Rhino for a move 5 hours away. My husband was already to our new location to begin work and I am in the last few weeks of pregnancy. Needless to say, between the pregnancy and having two young children, I was unable to do much to help with the move and stressed to the max. Ricky (the foreman) and his crew REALLY took care of us and I truly cannot recommend them enough. He even encouraged me to "sit down and relax" while they took care of everything. Everything was wrapped and protected with care to ensure nothing was damaged in the process and they even brought each box to the room it belonged in once we got to the new house. Another thing I REALLY appreciated was not having to get on a ladder and break my back trying to take things down - the crew took down all my mounted tv's and wall decor from the old house. Very poor experience. I was placed with Rhino relocation through a broker. The broker negotiated a long haul move where they would pack, move and put my stuff in storage until I was ready to get it transported to IL. We went through a detailed survey of my furniture and belongings, and the broker came up with 900 cubic feet. Ok.... My husband and I allowed for some extra allowance, but not DOUBLE the amount! These men, surveyed my townhome and said ok it's gonna cost more, I'll be back with the quote. 3000 cubic feet (mind you my whole townhome is 1600 square feet) $22K please! WTH!!! No thank you. Very inconvenient, I am to be packed and on a plane Sat morning! So Air 1 came and moved us last min for 1300 cubic feet and less than 1/2 the cost. read more

I've moved across the country several times and have used more than a dozen moving companies. Rhino Relocation is the most dishonest bunch of scam artists that I've ever had the displeasure to work with. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. Trust me. Please read my full testimony below... My moving nightmare began in September of 2015, more than a year ago. I called around a few moving companies that came up in a Google search to get a good deal. The lowest rate by far was Rhino Relocation. They gave me a binding estimate after I gave them a detailed and accurate account of my items that I needed them to move. When they arrived at my apartment on moving day, within 15 minutes the movers said that it was going to cost more, like $1,500 more. I was outraged. I called the movers supervisor who gave me a few hundred bucks off, but that was the best she could do. She was rude and extremely pushy. I had already put down a deposit and was due to move out of my apartment in a few days time, so I felt like I had no choice but to except the extra cost. That was a mistake. Next, when scheduling my things to arrive I was reassured by Sharon that the unloading bay my apartment has would suffice. When the mover Wallace arrived on the day of the unload, he rolled up with quite possibly the biggest freaking truck I've ever seen. I wish I had taken a picture of this thing. My personal items had been lumped into a giant moving truck with multiple other moves, so Wallace (yelling at me by the way) demanded that I pay $500 for a shuttle to unload my stuff and drive it back over. He was also very pushy which was more understandable because his giant truck was semi blocking one of the two lanes on the road I live on, and he had to drive another couple hundred miles to do another unload the next day. At this point I had no choice as he explained, unless I wanted my things taken hostage. Yet again, I paid. When they were unloading the truck, I began seeing damage almost right away. My computer desk was absolutely obliterated. My coffee table was missing it's top. Boxes were leaking items and as we neared finishing the unload, there were items from the pickup inventory that were flat out missing. Worst of all, the movers on the pickup end had done an amazingly poor job at packing some of my Batman art signed by Chris Lee, the art and the frames were completely ruined. In all, I estimated around $3000 in total damages, not counting the art, which was never appraised, so that was just gone. I went through the awful process of making a claim with MovingClaims.net (their insurance claims and arbitration partner). After MONTHS of process and waiting, I received a letter from them that began "We are happy to inform you that a Final Resolution for your claim has been made". I opened the attachment and to my horror, it was for an insulting $65 in total compensation. I haven't yet "officially" replied to them about that, because I'm quite honestly still in shock. To summarize, I was charged more than $2000 more than what they claimed I would pay in their binding estimate. I was treated poorly every step of the way beyond the sales guy. They did an insane amount of damage, and have yet to compensate me for any of it. I've filed a complaint with the FMCSA, but my biggest regret is that I didn't post anything on Yelp sooner. Record all phone conversations! I was overcharged by nearly 500 cu ft! The loaders that packed up my house stacked things in a "secure fashion" which maximized square footage. When my belongings were delivered, by another company, they fit everything into a 400 cu ft space on their truck (billed 873 cu ft). Despite what they claim, they can subcontract your move out to other moving companies. Somewhere along the way and shuffling it between trucks, they managed to lose and damage multiple items. DO NOT gamble your belongings on this untrustworthy company! If your quote comes from a company using EliteMovingOPS, take your business elsewhere. When you call "Rhino Relocation" you're really speaking to a 3rd party company! They locked me in with a low rate, called me after my down payment was no longer refundable to revise my estimate to a "worst case" scenario, then raised the price again after loading the items on the truck. DO NOT TRUST THEIR QUOTES! They will bait and switch! BTW: They offered me $51 for their hundreds of dollars in lost and damage items and refused to pay me out on the overcharged cu ft. read more

Honestly, these guys were AMAZING!!! Needed help last minute to move our belongings and these guys did the job. From the moment we spoke to our representative we felt confident and happy with our choice of movers. So glad we chose Rhino after researching so many moving companies. On the day of pick up the crew showed up on time. Mauricio was the crew leader. He was kind, informative and very professional. I showed the guys what needed to be done, and without hesitation started to get it done. The guys completed in about 5 hours. Never stopping to take a break. (which would have been fine if they did) all our stuff, which was a lot for any team of people to move was carefully handled and moved as if it was their own. After the move we can say, we will definitely use them again, just hopefully not anytime soon (moving is a total pain ).
