Hot and new in town - figured to check it out for lunch. It is located inside the Hotel Alida, so we got to the resto through the lobby. There is indeed a direct entrance, however, it is a bit hard to find, given all the ongoing construction around. Really nice ambience and was not crowded at all on a saturday afternoon. We found out that it was restaurant week, so opted to go for the 3 course lunch menu. The hostess ended up taking our order, since the waitress had not shown up for 10 minutes or so. They have an extensive espresso menu, so we decided to try a macchiato and a pistachio latte. When the coffee comes, we get a mochaccino instead of the macchiato, but the waitress for quick to apologize and bring the correct drink. Both the drinks were excellent. For starters, we had the ricotta cheese dip and the garden salad, followed by mussels and the burger for main. The service was very quick. Taste wise the ricotta dip was nothing exotic, but the salad was barely edible due to high concentration of the vinegarette. The mains made up for the lacking in the appetizers. I will recommend both the mussels and the burger to everyone. We noted that throughout the meal, it was a different waiter every single time. When it came time for dessert, one of the first waitress showed up and was confused when we said we opted the lunch menu. She was offering us the various options on the normal dessert menu. The confusion was because she had not taken our order and hence was not familiar with what menu we had chosen. Nevertheless, we got the chocolate pot de creme and the lemon chestnut pie. Both were incredible. We will return for sure to try out the dinner menu. Only recommendation I have is that they should get better organized with the serving waiters. It will help to have consistency throughout the meal. read more

On Christmas Day, Rhett was open in the evening. We were able to eat outdoors and had a delicious Bourbon cocktail and an excellent fish meal. WHat a treat on a surpringly warm winter day! read more

Rhett Restaurant and Bar - Breakfast & Brunch Near Me - Savannah, Georgia

Breakfast was very good. The waitress was fast and friendly. The cost was on the high side, but it is on River Street.

Restaurant is decorated beautifully modern. Food was absolutely incredible! The bacon, egg and cheese croissant was hands down the best croissant I've ever put in my mouth. Bloody Mary's were delicious as well. Bathrooms were clean, staff was super friendly. We plan on coming back before we leave. read more

Very mediocre. We had a Caesar salad, crab cake and seafood ravioli. Crab cake had a lot of filler, not a lot of jumbo lump crab meat. Service was very slow even though it wasn't crowded. read more

I have tried to convince my husband to go to this restaurant for months. I have been obsessed with trying the mushroom toast. Our experience today was a complete disappointment! Mushroom toast was not toasted. I even explained to the waiter that the reason we were there was because of the mushroom toast. I could go on and on. I had to get up and ask for refills on my water and coffee. This was the worst Saturday morning brunch I have ever had in Savannah! Go to Huey's!!!! Their beignets are delicious! read more

Really enjoyed this place service was great came for dinner and for brunch. The she crab soup was amazing the atmosphere is fun but romantic and the service was fantastic both times. read more

Rhett was very good but in my opinion not deserving of #1 breakfast in Savannah. Very small menu and not very exciting. Food was good but expensive. I just would keep looking if it were me. Service was very good. read more

Amazing place to eat! Laura our server was phenomenal! She was so pleasant and attentive! We will definitely be back!

Super slow service, undercooked meat, overall confusion, and really long wait. Underwhelmed by this restaurant and we spent a lot of money. My meat was not even remotely cooked and stuck to the bun underneath it. Service was kind but when she messed up our order she no longer wanted to come to our table. Underwhelmed and wish I could've spent my money somewhere else. read more

Great breakfast. calm and folks were so friendly...service was spot on. Dinner was equally well done...if you stay at the hotel, it is nice after a hectic schedule to just stay in...then go "walk" it off. read more

A lovely modern diner inside our hotel. This made it easy to have Brunch on Sunday before leaving. Brunch was a limited menu but all of the entrees were good. The best part was the service. They went above and beyond to get us what we needed and were constantly filling our coffee and water. I wish there had been more in the menu for a Sunday brunch but that would be my only "complaint". read more

We went for Christmas dinner, and paid for three pre-fix meals of about $45 each. The server had never heard of an Arnold Palmer, and the sweet tea was not sweet. On the up side, the winter vegetable soup was gorgeous, but we had to ask where the third person's beat salad was. It finally came. Then a confused looking person arrived from the kitchen with an additional beet salad. We all ordered prime rib, but they were mixed up about who got which one and whether or not they had horseradish. First they said no, then someone (who tried, albeit late) came back when I was almost done with my meat with a plate of three sides of horseradish. The poor service made us wonder if the experienced servers hadn't been given the night off and there may have been a language barrier. There were some other problems. One of us ordered two side dishes, which were delivered at the end of our meal. I pointed this out to the person with the check, and the fact they charged us for two coffees, even though it was one coffee with a refill. They took off one of the coffees (a whopping $3.00) but left the largely uneaten side dishes on. I hope these problems are due to being new, and they get their act together. read more

Had an amazing breakfast, and came back for dinner. The food was delicious, we had the Mushroom Tartine and the Veggie Rissoto and it was perfect. 100% recommend if you end up in Savannah. read more

GET THE CAULIFLOWER. The drinks were really good. My boyfriend ordered an Old Fashioned which was delicious and strong, I went with the waitor's suggestion, a peach concoction, and it was also very tasty although I don't think it had very much booze in it. I would have preferred the Old Fashioned. Now, back to my original statement: the cauliflower is so good. The batter is perfectly smooth and crispy and the sauce is fresh and lemony. A match made in culinary heaven! My boyfriend could not shut up about it afterwards and he rarely geeks out about restaurant food. Even if you just come here for a little cauliflower snack, it's totally worth it. We also tried the ricotta which was very nice as well. It tasted fresh and clean, a dish that stands apart based on quality of ingredients rather than pizzazz, which I love! The sesame seeds on top were such a nice touch, adding depth of flavor. I can't speak to the rest of the food, but the appetizers we tried were spot on. If I'm ever in the area again, you better believe I'll be back for the cauliflower. read more

Great spot for after dinner coffee and dessert. We hopped in during a thunderstorm and after a small wait we were seated in a quiet spot. The ambience was terrific and social distancing WAS happening!!!!! Our service was perfect and we absolutely enjoyed the accented staff. For a hot minute we were back in Florence, Italy enjoying attentive and charming service. The coffee ~ fabulously freshly made and the flourless chocolate cake was perfect for sharing. It was such a pleasant experience; we will definitely be back. read more

Went to Rhett for a quick lunch.. The Shrimp and crab roll was delicious. My husband had the burger and it was also good. Nothing really special with the burger or the appetizers but it was a good meal. read more

As a local I try to hit all the new restaurants as soon as I hear about them. This one is located in the brand new Alida Hotel. I love the decor and modern style of this restaurant. Their menu is a little limited, but the hostess said this was not their final menu. Our server Victoria was very sweet and personable. She also had a ton of patience dealing with my family who are all on their 80's. The food was very good. They have lobster rolls( no one in Savannah has lobster rolls! The dessert OMG! You have got to have the Fried banana split. read more

Ask for Taylor! She was sooo sweet and her hospitality was absolutely amazing!! Super fast service!!

Too expensive for the amount of food you get plus I'mnot paying all that money for "burnt" bread! But, nice ambience.

Super awesome food! Pickled shrimp was amazing. The muscles were fantastic as well!! Definitely a spot to check out. read more

Decent service, good atmosphere, but the food was very low quality for the price... Fish of the day (Grouper) and short ribs came out to be over $70 total for the two entrees, so it was disappointing to experience such a low quality meal with very scarce portions. Definitely confused on why the rating is so high. read more

Walked in on Easter Sunday hoping for a quick and yummy breakfast. We were able to get seated right away... Absolutely wonderful atmosphere, food and service! Croissant breakfast sandwich, two eggs any style, breakfast potatoes, cold brew and latte were all fantastic and just what we were looking for! We will definitely be back! read more

We are local and always looking for something new. We found them on Facebook and decided to give them a try. The hamburger was fantastic! I always get it well done. It was incredibly juicy and two patties! The fries were awesome and so was the Mac and cheese. They're in the basement of the hotel so you have to go in the hotel and take the elevator to the basement. We will come here again - soon! read more

A great new place has been added to the Savannah food scene! The food was extremely fresh and prepared with great skill and imagination. From the fried cauliflower appetizer, the chicken paillard, the pickled shrimp salad, and the shrimp and crab roll to the chocolate pot de creme and red velvet cake, our group enjoyed every bite. JT was the best wait staff we could imagine. Knowledgeable and very attentive. Can't wait to go back. Another perk: Free valet parking when you get your ticket validated in the restaurant. The rooftop bar, The Lost Square, opens later in the afternoon but is a real showpiece! Well done. read more

Our favorite stop in Savannah. The mussels are out of this world. The bartenders were so great. We loved the entire experience.

Such a charming place. We were unaware you could access the restaurant from River Street due to construction. Rhett is locate on the ground floor of the Alida Hotel. Modern industrial decor. The food was FABULOUS. We had the cauliflower appetizer, my husband doesn't even like capers and he loved it. He had the roast chicken with the dirty rice. It was excellent. My flounder coquette was cooked perfectly. The fish melted. Amazing. All in all, super delicious, great atmosphere, the service was prompt and attentive. They even let me go in the kitchen to thank the chefs. read more

Amazing little diner like atmosphere, we found it when we were exiting the crystal collections in the old power plant. Very friendly staff and the food was amazing. Definitely will visit again when I come back to Savannah. read more

Fabulous. We tried with Croque breakfast sandwich and the Brisket sandwich. Bloody Mary's were tasty as well!

Excellent. Thoroughly enjoyed everything. The decor, service, and imaginative menu items ticked all the boxes. We started with the Cauliflower, then made our way through the chicken mousse (pate), and the charcuterie board. I thought the price to size ratio was more than fair - despite what other reviewers said previously. Denise was our server and she was brilliant! A well versed, hospitable, and extremely friendly and easy to talk to talented lady. We didn't make it to any of the mains as we were so full at that point! Enjoyed pound cake on the beautiful rooftop with a latte, fire, and each other to keep warm on the brisk February evening. Couldn't have improved on anything if we wanted to. Well done Rhett, keep up the outstanding work! read more

We had such a pleasant experience from appetizer (fried cauliflower) to desserts (red velvet cake, chocolate mousse, salted caramel pretzel milkshake, and a chocolate milkshake) and everything in between. I'll definitely be back and I'll be sure to ask for Taylor who gave great descriptions of the menu items and had the perfect personality for our party of five. read more

First of all, the service was really good. Victoria our waitress was very attentive and really on top of her game. But the food, while trying to be 5-star, just wasn't. The fried cauliflower was very bland and needed something to spice it up. The mac and cheese was literally swimming in cheese. I get that it is supposed to be cheesy -- its mac AND CHEESE. But it was more like mac and cheese soup. The salads were made with excellent vegetables and greens, but the dressing was really, really overpowering. And there was way too much of it on the salad. I had trouble picking the number of stars here. I think because they're new... they'll figure it out. But they're not quite there yet. I'm not saying stay away, but it could have been a lot better. read more

This place is a fresh additional to the River street area. Most of the restaurants around River street are mediocre, but this one pleasantly surprised me. Our server was Denise. She went through the entire menu with my party, which took a little longer than I wanted, but she was incredibly knowledgeable about every single ingredient. I do have a few allergies, and she quickly and confidently cleared up the confusion that I had. I would rate her 5/5 as a server. The food was excellent. It was a little more than I normally like to spend, but considering all of the food was local, I did not mind spending a few more dollars for better quality. I got the lobster roll which came with some sort of salad. I wish the lobster roll was bigger. I felt like I could have eaten five of them because it was so good. The lobster was fresh. I did not particularly enjoy the bread it came on. I think I would have preferred a crispy baked roll as opposed to the Texas style toast it came on. I would still order it again and recommend. The salad it came with I still do not know what type of green it was, but it was so good. It had a spice to it, but it was balanced with a freshness and salty crisp. There was a freshness about all the food. I enjoyed the citrus flavors and the creativity of the chef. I went to the resultant a little later in the nigh, so there was no dinner rush. We were seated immediately. The atmosphere was nice. It felt a little fancier, but not so fancy that one would feel uncomfortable in jeans. I hope the restaurant continues to grow in their integrity, because I did enjoy my experience and look forward to trying more items. read more

Usually I am rather apprehensive about trying a very newly opened restaurant, but based upon earlier positive reviews I was curious to try Rhett in the new Alida Hotel. I was impressed! The restaurant itself was a very stylish and pleasing space. We were warmly greeted by the hostess who remembered us from another Savannah restaurant ( nice touch) and were served by Denise, a highly competent and knowledgeable server. I had a seafood dish that included clams and a flaky cod while my girlfriend enjoyed her dish of mussels. Everything was cooked perfectly. No doubt, we'll be back. read more

Awesome ceasar salad with great local shrimp. Not the Cisco out of the can type which most restaurants serve. These are local great tasting shrimp read more

We came here on a whim because they could accomadate our party of 8. Little did we know what treats we'd be in for. Half of our party were vegetarians, and they had enough options to choose from. Beautiful coctails, wonderful shareable apps, and amazing entrees. The cauliflower appetizer was so good we could have just eaten multiple orders. Denise was our server extraordinare, and she treated us like queens. After dinner, we explored the intentionally gorgeous rooftop bar and hotel lobby. The Rhett and Alida Hotel are a definite must see/do/dine place near the river. read more

Looking for a wonderful after a long day on the road. Ordered fresh catch which was red snapper with pea cassoulet. Must have been an off night as I received a fish that was cooked like shoe leather and maybe was 2 oz end piece with bones. The navy bean cassoulet was on the hard side of al dente. On the other hand , my companions steak was looking pretty good and cooked as requested. Service was good, but I doubt the cooks were told of their misstep. Doubt if I would return to this eatery on my next trip. read more
