Overall the food here is good, a little pricy, especially the oysters. I like their ceviche, mussels among the things we ordered. The ambiance was nice and waitress was very courteous read more

There is a such thing as over glamorizing something. That thing would happen to be Rhett. Located at the Alida hotel which is a part of the downtown seaside entertainment district, that automatically makes things more expensive while not giving expensive experience. Case in point, to order a small orange juice off the menu, you'll be coughing up 6$. Sad to say, but that just goes a tiny way down the rabbit hole. Me and my lady ordered the shrimp and grits and you would think if I'm paying almost 30$ for a bowl of shrimp and grits, the least they can do is make sure that I don't have to fight my food to enjoy it. Simply put, they had tails on the shrimp that had to be wrestled with to enjoy them because who likes to eat shrimp with the shell on the tail on? The other two no no's were the fact that we waited over 30 minutes for grits that came to the table cold which to me automatically disqualifies you from being anything of an exquisite restaurant. My lady also ordered the half order of pancakes and I ordered an order of chicken sausage and a Croissant. I wasn't pleased with either as the chicken sausage may of had flavor, but was overcooked, and the croissant was dry and cold. The pancakes were bland and lukewarm at best, with the cinnamon butter and syrup saving the day. When the shrimp and grits were remade, it wasn't enjoyable. The grits were soupy, not creamy and grainy like they were rushed. I could have went to a mom and pop shop and got twice the amount of food with more choices of food on a menu and paid way less than this place. I had to see what the people were talking about, but honestly, some just go with a "wow nice place" mindset and the hotel at its best pales to other places surrounding it. I wouldn't waste my time ever returning here, especially when the only compensation for messing up the orders was "sorry." Sorry, Rhett, this wasn't it!! read more

Cute little spot that we stopped at for breakfast. Had a good selection of breakfast and brunch options. We ordered the avocado toast and added an egg. It came with a side salad as well. It was very filling. We also got an order of the banana bread to try. It was delicious! read more

One of our favorite spots in Savannah. We've gone for dinner a few times and it's always been top notch. Great oysters and Octopus.

perfect brunch spot! Easy to make reservations. Tables are spaced far enough which is good for Covid. Service is killer. The peach bellini was delicious. The coffee was good! I got the eggs, toast, potatoes and then we got a side of kids pancakes. My boyfriend got the pork sandwich with the egg on top which he loved. We also got a couple of old fashions. we got seated quickly. I think they have outdoor seating but I'm not sure. It's a cute place. They have tons of brunch options. They also have sandwich options. They have lots of drinks. The food came out relatively quickly. For a total of four drinks, one coffee and two meals along with the kids pancakes.. came out to around 90-100 bucks. Not bad, not cheap, but not bad. the drinks are more expensive than you would think though, not so much the food. it's located in a really cute area off of river street which is kind of newer in Savannah. i'm assuming it'll get busier and I would make reservations. It's not a cheap brunch but it's not extremely expensive either. It's a great place to meet people for brunch, girlfriends, families etc. walkable but you have to park elsewhere i think. read more

Excellent food, good ambience and Anjani was an amazing waitress and took care of every little thing with family dinner.

We where in Savannah for Thanksgiving and decided to give Rhett's a try day after Thanksgiving. Made reservations in the AM. Arrived on time and were sat immediately. Waitress came to table promptly and ask for our drinks order. She also informed us of what specials they had and that happy hour would be over in 20 minutes. Overall very thorough and helpful. We then ordered drinks an appetizer and dinner. Service was on point, literally did not miss a beat. Our app was the grilled oysters, they were perfection! 6 nicely sized oysters with just enough seasoning to make them perfect! I almost wished we'd ordered a dozen! I had the Halibut with crab rice, I was in love! I'm going to have to learn how to cook that rice! It was amazing! My husband ordered the steak Frites! He said the steak was perfect! He's not usually a fan of thin fries but loved these. Overall a very pleasant experience. We will definitely return on future visits to Savannah! read more

I forgot to take pictures because I was too hungry. The food was amazing. I had the chicken and waffles and I must say, it's the best one I've had at any restaurant. My server was Oriol. He was very attentive and provided top quality service. I ordered an Amaretto sour and I don't think I've smiled harder at a drink. Overall 10/10 service!!! The place was very cozy too. read more

Stopped for brunch. The host was a very somber fella who didn't smile. It took a fair amount of time before a waitress came to our table, as in at least 10 minutes. However, she apologized and was great for the rest of our visit. Limited menu selection, but had the Eggs Benedict and it was fantastic. Made with thin crispy country ham. The Hollandaise sauce may be the best I've had. Taking off 1 star for them adding a service fee. When we called back to ask what it was for, they said it was to help pay for the cooks, but they refund it if people request it. Just seems sketchy to put an additional charge on your bill hoping you don't notice. read more

Rhett was located on the bottom floor of our hotel, the Alida. The space is very nice and industrial chic. There were not that many patrons dining there on a Friday night, but don't be fooled by this. Rhett's food was legit and up there with one of our better meals in Savannah. The Alida also gave us a 25% discount off our purchase which sure made our meal very reasonable. I also believe there is a 15% off for checking in with Yelp. What we ordered: ROASTED PORK - Fermented Collards, Roasted Fingerling Potatoes, Boiled Peanuts, Chilis NOLA BBQ SHRIMP- Local Shrimp, Fresh Orecchiete, Charred Corn, Local Andouille, Roasted Tomatoes, BBQ Butter PICKLED JUMBO SHRIMP SALAD- Giardiniera Vinaigrette, Herbed Ricotta, Country Croutons, Roasted Tomatoes, Shaved Fennel All three dishes were very, very good. The NOLA BBQ Shrimp was excellent and the sauce literally plate licking good. Rhett has a nice selection of beers and also cocktails. Our server was very nice and helpful in choosing some dishes. We had a very good brownie dessert also. I would highly recommend Rhett. 4.5-5 stars read more

My family and I visited here Memorial Day weekend of 2025. This place on an appearance and location scale is 10 out of 10. They are right across from the "new" Marriott on the River Front...it's the one with the dinosaur! The servers work with smiles. The hostess is all business and professional. I am pointing that out for a reason. This place is quite popular therefore I strongly recommend reservations. We did not do that but we understood why we had to wait 30 minutes. A family of 5 did not understand that and starting pointing to tables that were empty. The hostess knows what tables are empty and she also knows what reservations are on the books. Respect the process. No reservations means you gotta wait! Do not give the hostess a hard time because you did not plan for when the 5 of you were going to eat. Now moving on to the food. That is where there was a slip in quality with my dish but everyone else was quite pleased with their orders. That especially goes for my picky 16 year old niece and her desire for buttermilk pancakes. They were awesome! I did not order their potatoes but sampled one of them. They are well seasoned and chunky. If you like spice and seasoning, these potatoes are for you. The issue with my dish was the temperature. I ordered the biscuits and sausage gravy. It looked great! I cut into the biscuit and dredge as one would do in the gravy and soon as I tasted it, there was a chill. I ate another part of the biscuit and again it was cold. I think the biscuits may have been in the fridge. They were grabbed for my order and perhaps the kitchen person thought the gravy would warm them up. That did not happen. I kindly pointed that out to the server. She took my plate away with a smile and a few minutes later, a new plate arrived. The biscuits were warm and overall a good dish but I cannot say it was great. That is the only reason why I cannot give 5 stars. I definitely want to visit Rhett again. I loved the service. I want to try their other breakfast options as well lunch and even dinner. I will definitely make reservations. Put them on your list of places to eat when visiting the wonderful city of Savannah. read more

My fifth time eating dinner at The Rhett Savannah, GA. Excellent across the board. The grouper is delicious cooked to perfection. The blue crab rosotto is incredible and the scallops are the best I have ever had. The octopus was tender and plentiful and the Crispy calamari perfect. The staff super friendly and professional. The atmosphere exceptionally relaxing, Looking forward to my next Rhett experience! read more

Service and food was fantastic! Loved the crab risotto and cocktails! Everything was delicious.

Arrived 30 minutes prior to my reservation, and the staff were flexible enough to seat my party! We ordered some classics--loaded grits, chicken and waffles, and a side of biscuit and gravy. I grew up in the south, and these were hands down some of the best grits and gravy I've ever had, if not THE best. I'm delighted to recommend Rhett to my friends visiting Savannah--there are options for everyone, the service is great, and the space is a great escape just off River St.! read more

This was my second time here and it was 10/10 service with Asmara! Such a great time and really good food!

Great service and wonderful food! Our server Oriol was amazing! Great place to got in Savannah!

Convenient to the river/historic district, good food and service. Can get a bit noisy, but overall pleasant atmosphere.

Disappointing Mothers Day brunch. For $50 per adult I would have expected much more than scrambled eggs, bacon, yogurt, waffles and cold quiche. Dessert? 2 different bite sized "cheesecake" or "pie". No "free mimosa" if you're here early. Can't be served until 11. Not likely to come back after spending so much money for a family and getting a a sub-par hotel breakfast buffet. Add some prime rib, eggs Benedict, pastries etc and maybe you'd get closer to meeting the mark. read more

I want to give a big shout out to Asmara. He was very attentive to our needs. Great waiter.

Server was horrid. Never checked on us. Calamari came out cold. Glasses on the table were dirty with lipstick. Manager came around and didn't look or dress like a manager. Avoid the place at all cost! read more

We really enjoy comping to Rhett every time we are in Savannah. Our waitress Ximena was so welcoming and kind. She was great with our kids. She was positive and personal and yet very professional. Thank you. The food was outstanding ( it is every time we come) thanks for a great experience again. read more

My husband, daughter, and I went in on a Wednesday evening with no wait. The location is amazing, the decor is lovely, and the food was good. The shrimp cocktail was delicious, my cocktail (porch sitter) was refreshing, and the salmon was cooked perfect! The only complaints I have is I got the steak frites, asked for medium and got well done. We spent a little over $160 and I would say that felt overpriced for the food we had. It was delicious but I would never spend $55 on the steak frites again. I would recommend for drinks and appetizers, for sure! read more

This review is based solely on how we were greeted upon entering both the hotel and restaurant. This place is less than inviting, especially when arriving for a reservation (that they offered and confirmed) near the restaurants closing time. The front desk, flat. The hostess at Rhett, flat. The red hair hostess with a bob barely greeted us, an excited group looking to celebrate a SCAD graduate. She seemed to be concerned with clocking out and grabbing her keys that were laying on the stand as opposed to welcoming us to Rhett. This was a let down, especially on a momentous day where we were excited to dine at Rhett. Truly an unacceptable way to greet people as a service industry professional. Do better. Management - consider giving your staff a pep talk and reevaluate how you offer reservations if you staff would rather go home than welcoming people into a restaurant at a hotel where many people look forward to the meals they will share with people. Would probably also be worth looking at the SCAD calendar in case you need to make smart staffing decisions based on events happening around the city. read more

A very nice place to visit. While in Savannah the service was great a the prices were decent

Love the po boy! BLT was a miss :( will be returning to try more things on the menu! Awesome

I came across Rhett on a whim because it was one of the only restaurants in the area that didn't close at 10. It's located in the Alida hotel, and has a beautiful open kitchen. The menu didn't have many options to choose from, and was a bit on the pricier side, so I decided to get the burger. I was a little annoyed because the cook of my burger wasn't how I ordered it. I prefer my burgers medium rare, and I received it medium well. The flavor of the burger was good though. The thing that kind of really turned me off about the restaurant was our server. At first it seemed like her energy was really forced, which was fine because servers just want to ensure that the diners have a great experience. However, we started to notice our server becoming a little too casual with us, and we questioned her professionalism with the way she interacted with us. read more

Food and drinks: Mushroom toast - overall, pretty good dish. The white sauce/garlic butter made it awesome. The bread was toasty on the outside and soft on the inside. The mushrooms alone were not seasoned well. But with the toast and white sauce, it was good. -Burger - decent burger. Kinda tastes like a gourmet in & out burger with no lettuce or tomato if that makes sense. The fries were thick and crispy. The salad that came with it was nice and light. The burger was initially served super rare, when it should have been medium well. We told our waiter and got a new fired for us right away. -Chicken farro - flavor was good, but the dish was entirely chicken. The menu says it comes with farro but I didn't see or taste it. Definitely over priced. -Matcha Collins - really liked this drink! I don't drink vodka much but the combo with the matcha made it subtle. Customer service: -It took use a really long time to order our drinks and apps (20-30 mins). The restaurant wasn't too busy for a Saturday at 8pm, so we found it odd that the service was slow. Our waiter was overall really nice when he did get to our table. All staff were wearing masks. Ambience: Pretty mellow, modern vibes inside. Plenty of seating inside and a few tables outside. I had really high hopes of this place. The flavors or the dishes we had were there, just think they need better execution and consistency. Heard this place is kinda new, so hoping things will change and get better! read more

The Rhett is a new and hot addition to the Savannah restaurant scene! Sadly, some of our meals, this Friday evening, were disappointing. Additionally, this hotel restaurant has moderate to high priced evening entrees. The favorite entree of the table was the hamburger ($15) with hand cut fries. The double sized burger was dripping with cheddar cheese, served with their house blended sauce called Norfolk, and accompanied with fresh lettuce, tomato and sliced onion. The biggest disappointment of the evening was the Steak au Poivre, ($31) ordered by the men at the table. While it had a lovely peppercorn crust the steak was tough, chewy, and quite a workout to eat. The quality of meat grade was surely less than "choice". The bright side of this entree was that the guys enjoyed the sides of French fries and spinach. My wedge salad wasn't actually a wedge, but a salad of baby heads of romaine. While I love romaine, and I didn't mind the creative take on a traditional wedge, the dressing was bland, a bit watery and the salad needed more bacon. I requested an add on of chicken and was surprised that it was a fried cutlet. Regrettably, I made the mistake of not inquiring how the chicken would be prepared as I would have preferred grilled or roasted chicken, but the server never asked my preference or offered choices, either. Our group of local Savannah natives were disappointed to see the fish entree of Cocotte of Cod, $22. Cod is a North Atlantic, cold water fish, and not a local fish. Savannah has plenty of local seafood markets selling fresh coastal Georgia seafood. Everyone really enjoyed their cocktails! Service was a bit slow for a restaurant that didn't appear busy on this Friday night. A second glass of wine took several request to finally make it to the table. The friendly manager did make her rounds greeting diners and asking how our dinners were. Who wants to complain on a Friday evening out with friends? Certainly none of us! Lastly, due to internet issues, I had difficulty reserving the 7:15 Open Table spot so I immediately called The Rhett to reserve. There were spots available every 15 minutes on Open Table. The hostess told me 8:00 was available but not before. Hummm? Finally, she allowed me to reserve 7:45, We arrived to a half full restaurant with plenty of tables available, and it remained this way all evening. read more
