On a quick lunch date we chose to check this place out. We came in on a week day about 2pm. Parking to get in was kind of weird. Walling thru the actual store before you get to the rooftop restaurant is AMAZEBALLS!!! The employees were nice and helpful downstairs too. Now let's talk about upstairs! We walk up to the hostess stand and ask for seating for 2, there were about 3/4 employees standing around so they're all just looking weirdly and 1 asks do we have a reservation? We say no do we need 1, they quickly say no and look around and find seating. Once seated the server is too pretty kurt IMO. The menu isn't what I expected it to be, it was short too! Lmao I ordered a ribeye and my friend ordered the chicken. The food came out quick and fresh, but it was bland. Not a full service bar they only had wine or champagne. First off The atmosphere of this place was amazing.. .. You walk in and you are looking at their showroom of furniture. Beautiful.. there are three floors. The third floor is the restaurant.. It is definitely a place that you would like to visit. The food was good.. Not an extensive menu, but remember you are paying for à la carte and they're not huge portions, their mashed potatoes. t Yukon gold puree. Was delicious running at $11. Overall, I was impressed with the ambiance and service at RH Rooftop. Our server, Jocelyn, was really on top of everything and so incredibly down to earth and kind. She even brought a complimentary dessert to my friend and me having a girls day away from our kids. Food was generally good, especially the truffle fries and crispy artichokes. However, pricing is quite high (a grilled cheese was $20) and food fairly rich. My broccoli side dish accidentally went to another table, but I had to ask about it when I had finished my sandwich. Never got refills for my drink even after I told the waitress "Yes I want a refill." We ordered the cookies and they were warm and goey. If only the waitress came back, so I could of ordered coffee or something to drink with it. Loved the atmosphere and the rooftop concept with trees. Just wasn't thrilled with the lack of service. Had a lovely brunch in Oakbrook today at RH. We weren't rushed, the rooftop was beautiful and the service was excellent! We started with Bellinis and ended brunch with coffee and cookies. We tried the crispy artichoke, truffle fries, burrata, whole chicken and broccolini. The whole chicken was sooooo delicious! The crispy artichoke was my least favorite! Besides the chicken being my favorite, I loved the truffle fries and the broccolini. We had Chardonnay with our brunch: Twomey and Allan Scott. Both are HIGHLY recommended. For a Tuesday evening I was surprised the service was a little slow for a spot that didn't appear to be that busy but what do I know. Our server was pleasant! For starters I ordered the Prosciutto & Delices Board. The best board I've had! The cheese was perfection! The ham didn't disappoint. The bread was warm. The grapes must have been picked fresh from the Garden of Eden! I didn't even try the jam. Along with it, I had the RH Peach Bellini, another great choice! For my main course I had the filet mignon, mashed potato purée and broccolini. Everything was exceptional. Now time to pay. I paid cash (counted it twice), left it on the table. I waited until my server came to ensure they received their tip and left. Made it down the stairs and a manager comes running up behind me stating that I didn't leave the full amount. I took the cash back and gave her my card. Even though they removed the charge for my drink I didn't leave a tip on my card. I don't what happened to the money but I wasn't tipping twice. RH is definitely like they say, picture perfect, awesome vibes, gorgeous scenery, and great service. Everything was very prestigious and put together. Our server was very friendly and knowledgeable of all the food. He recommended my salad and I loved it. The food was pretty good! The lobster roll was delicious, the salad (like i mentioned before) was incredible but the artichokes were meh. I wasn't a huge fan of the pairing with potatoes. I would rather have more artichoke than potatoes. It also tasted very heavy. I also had a peach Bellini and that was delish! Would highly reco the peach Bellini! But overall, everything was very highly priced. Even the wine was very expensive ($15 for a glass when the bottle is only $16 at the grocery store). A friend of mine wanted to try this hot new place atop a furniture store... And what a massive ripoff it was!! I'm not a price-obsessed person, but the prices here literally made me feel nauseous. They don't even have a proper bar, just obnoxiously overpriced wine and beer. A starter with 4 waxy pieces of prosciutto, a tablespoon of jam and some bread and mediocre cheese was $45. I will start my saying that while this place is very nice and the ambience is great, it is definitely very pricey for a place in the burbs. They won't seat you until your whole party is there, but we were able to get a glass of wine at the bar while we waited. The decor is lovely, very elegant, nice mood lighting and a cute fountain in the middle. The menu is a bit small and there isn't a vegetarian entree dish! I think that is just so insane nowadays. The apps were the best part- burrata, Brie, fried artichoke were really good. Honestly I probably could have stopped there as the portions are generous and they are good about giving extra bread. I got the lobster roll with a side of broccolini. The lobster roll was very eh--wayyy too much bread and it wasn't very good bread. Needed a bit more butter. And it was very pricey for just the roll. Broccolini was ok, side of mushrooms were tasty and would have paired well with a steak. truffle fries were very good and actually truffly! The food is mediocre at best. I came in with high expectations and was disappointed easily. For a restaurant to be in Oakbrook it's usually there for a reason. However, RH does not live up to the hype. First of all, the tables are right next to each other with no personal or intimate space at all. I could hear the conversations of everyone around me. Second, unless you plan on spending 5 hours here, the service is incredibly slow. We received our appetizers and didn't see our waitress for awhile after that. Next is the food itself. Lovely decor and space for dining. Open, lots of natural light, much greenery. We were seated within 5 mins of our reservation and promptly brought menus and water. I ordered the rib eye sandwich and my friend had the salmon. and we decided to share the potato purée. About 15 mins later a plate of salmon (everything is ala Carte) was delivered to our table along with a huge bowl of French fries. We didn't order fries. So they set the salmon down and disappeared. 10 mins later they brought the rest of our meal. Very disappointing service. Over priced and poor service. This place is a one and done. If you're curious if you're missing anything by not having dined here ever I can without hesitation inform you you're not. Skip the dining experience here. read more

Great atmosphere people very nice reservations were good pricing total bullshit I mean beyond belief a glass of wine they're cheap cheapest was $25 and supposedly they were out of that so we had to pay $37 for one glass of wine 9 ounces. The roast beef thinly sliced sandwich was $40 apiece. I could've gone to Portillo's and spent $10 on what I paid over $90 for two sandwiches. I drink Diet Coke my girl drink one glass of wine. The bill was $180 I gave a $40 tip because the service in the people were wonderful but talk about overpriced total utter bullshit. $12 for french fries added to my sandwich a salad Caesar salad for $22 and then you add chicken to it another 15 $20 who knows what a fucking joke I thought I was in Beverly Hills once that bill came what a fucking joke how dare you charge that much money absolute ridiculous again people were wonderful total bullshit on your pricing total bullshit. Recently visited this location because I really like the 3 Arts Cafe in the city. First off, I loved the rooftop location and the great service as well. For anyone that doesn't like stairs, I highly recommend just taking the elevator! If you park across the way towards Roka Akor, the door does open on that side and you don't have to walk all the way around to the "main entrance." I wished the weather was not gloomy and rainy on the day that I went but the indoor space was still really nice. It seems like a smaller space than the 3 Arts but there's still a beautiful fountain surrounded by trees throughout the space. I ordered a glass of Minuty M Rose, the burrata with roasted peppers with prosciutto on the side, and a shaved vegetables salad for the table. Our server also recommended a mocktail for my friend and she really enjoyed it. For dessert the gelato and chocolate chip cookies are a must! Compared to the Chicago location, I thought the sourdough slices were a bit more burnt than charred. The salad was divided evenly between my friend and I but the dressing was almost non existent. I asked our server for some extra dressing on the side. Lastly, I thought the cookies were a bit overcooked. If you look in my picture they're a bit on the darker side. They were still good but not as good as the city. Shout out to Nicole who was our server! She was very friendly, attentive and was kind enough to refill my water whenever she passed by.
