RH Rooftop Restaurant is a beautiful restaurant, and I can absolutely see why it's always packed. The space is stunning. I went for my friend's birthday dinner, and we left completely satisfied with both the food and drinks. FOOD: We started with the prosciutto board, which was good but nothing especially memorable -- more of a classic charcuterie board. For our entrées, we ordered the lobster roll and the shaved ribeye dip, and both were excellent. I highly recommend them. We ended the night with four desserts, and every single one was delicious, especially the banana split. It wasn't your typical banana split sundae -- the caramelized banana gave it a rich, flavorful twist that made it unique and unforgettable. DRINKS: I started with the Rosé Spritz while everyone else ordered different cocktails. After trying mine, we all loved it so much that we ordered the same drink for the second round. It's not overly strong and has a slightly tart flavor, but it ended up being one of my favorite cocktails ever. I'll definitely order it again. Overall, the aesthetic and ambiance are incredible, though the prices are definitely on the higher side for the portion sizes. Came to RH Rooftop for brunch with a friend on a beautiful weekend. The restaurant is located inside the Restoration Hardware showroom so the overall ambiance is elegant and quaint. It is lovely to have natural light throughout the restaurant on a nice day. We ordered several things to try and share: avocado toast, burrata, truffle fries, asparagus, pancakes and thick cut pork belly bacon. The food was just average and not worth the price tag. We'd had this place on our list for a while. The menu certainly reads like the restaurant should be a fantastic night out. Against my better judgment, I even let them know it was my birthday when I made the reservation. We were seated at probably the worst table in the place: Front corner by the elevator and the bathrooms. I know someone has to sit there, but with the reservation and all...? One thing that is *not* mentioned on the website is that they have no liquor or spirits. Only $20 glasses of wine. My wife doesn't drink wine. This would have been terrific to know ahead of time. Food: charcuterie board was nice, but stingy. Grapes were well past being fresh. Other than that, good meat, good cheese. My steak nowhere near justified the price. No crust on the sear, cooked past my desired medium rare. The potato, despite being served with a cute tiny spoon for the crème fraiche, was just a potato. Not worthy of $14. Wife's burger was good, not great. Fries may have been the best part. It's a pretty room, so I understand why all the "influencers" and "content creators" frequent the place. The staff, in general, were aloof and standoffish. We did not feel particularly welcome; more like we were dining in a club we were not technically members of. Though we did see several desert looking items with candles coming out of the kitchen, we didn't get one (despite the note). I only included it because I figured that, as it was my actual birthday, maybe this place did something really special. Guess I'll never know. If this place had been half the price, I might have felt better about it. The atmosphere of the RH rooftop is so lovely and beautiful. On a sunny day the roof is the place to be! I have been for both brunch and dinner and I will say I highly prefer the brunch menu and food compared to the dinner menu and food. I started off brunch with a Bellini, which is always so fresh, and ordered the Italian Benedict with side fruit plate. The Benedict was phenomenal, the eggs were cooked to perfection and the ciabatta was toasted exactly right. The prosciutto was a lovely flavor addition. After a two-year hiatus, I'm happy to report that today's visit to RH was wonderful. I was able to get a same-day booking. They've vastly expanded the menu since two years ago, and the food and service were top-notch. I don't know if there's new management or not, but I had a much better visit. My only critique is that even though they now sell beer (in addition to their usual wines), RH still doesn't offer spirits and cocktails. But the server said that spirits were expected to be offered this summer. read more

Overall, this is a great restaurant for celebrating! The grilled shrimp is a must! Very delicious along with the bread that comes with the prosciutto board. My disappointment was the chicken. I been to RH rooftop in Chicago and the chicken there was better. The skin was crispier and presentation was more elegant as well. The taste of the chicken was good; very juicy. Our waiter was great, and very professional. I will say if you're going to pay over $450 for dinner for 4 people, then I would go to the RH in Chicago rather than this location or visit Violi which is only few places down. I held my daughters 30th Bday party with 10 people. Gia our waitress did an excellent job, It was great to see other staff jump in of there was a lul Teamwork. Went to dinner with some friends and had an amazing time! It's a furniture store in the lower level and restaurant on top, which is pretty cool because the views are nice at night. The staff is super attentive and wait time was reasonable. Food came out at a good pace as well. Everything tasted fresh and amazing, of course. One thing I didn't necessarily like is they don't have cocktails, it's mostly wine and spritz drinks. The drinks were very good though and I'm not a huge fan of spritz but the rosé was great. Something that made this night one I'll never forget is while going to the bathroom people did not lock their doors! I walked in on a woman mid wipe and then a couple having intercourse. Super surprised the staff aren't more attentive to this since the bathrooms are individual and private. It is what it is, but was not expecting that at a high end restaurant. You walk into what appears to be an art gallery, and then you realize it's a Restoration Hardware showroom, and then you realize there's a restaurant on the roof, and then you're sitting in a glass-enclosed greenhouse under chandeliers and thinking, how did I not know this existed? The RH Rooftop is a genuinely surprising place to end up on a Friday night. The lighting is the best I've ever seen in a restaurant, and that's not an exaggeration. Every table is lit like a set, every person looks like they were staged for a photograph. It makes sense when you remember that this is, at its core, a lighting and furniture company. If you're looking for profile pictures or special occasion shots like a birthday, anniversary, or celebration, the lighting here does the work for you. The space is a glass-enclosed rooftop with a retractable roof (closed the night we went, a little cool), flanked by open-air patio sections for lounging. Even packed, it was easy to hear each other at the table, which is a design achievement in a glass room that crowded. The lamb chops were solid, and apparently a customer favorite for good reason. The charcuterie board was generous. The wine was impeccable; my wife had a nine-ounce pour of red that she'd happily order again. Note for cocktail drinkers: there are none. No liquor at all. This is strictly a wine-and-beer operation, so plan accordingly. If you're a wine person, you can live here, almost literally. Even the private restrooms were fit for a five-star hotel suite, which tells you something about where the attention to detail went and where it didn't. The honest gripes: the food doesn't match the price point. My shaved ribeye sandwich was fine but lacked the flavor you'd expect, the au jus was doing a lot of heavy lifting, and could have lifted more. The service was attentive and unhurried, but at these prices I'd want a little more warmth and connection from the staff. You're paying for the atmosphere and the Restoration Hardware name, and you can feel it. If this restaurant were a person, it would be Jay Gatsby, throws an incredible party, the room is immaculate, everyone looks beautiful, and you spend the whole night thinking how is this real? But by the end of the evening you realize the spectacle was the point. What would push it to four stars: food that matches the price point and a little more personality from the service staff. The room is already a five -- the kitchen needs to catch up. Would I recommend it? Yes, for the experience. Would I go back? Probably not. You're glad you went to the party. You'll talk about it. We had a cozy table by the fountain but did get a little splashed on the side. The menu does not list any GF item so I had to ask. I'm also a vegetarian so I mostly just get sides. The server indicated all sides are GF. I opted for the potato puree, charred broccolini and truffle fries. I also ordered the rose spritz. It was a bit strong but it was good. I think we dropped around $190 for 3 people to have 1 appetizer and lunch. It's not like you're getting leftover or large portion sizes. You might be full if you are a skinny female but if you are a larger person or a male - you are not getting full. All of our plates were empty including the last fry. So it's expensive for the portion sizes. You can check out the menu but plan for drop a minimum of $50 a person Service (A+) The entire staff is extremely well trained and the food and pacing of the food is perfect. No mistakes from the staff. They were even kind enough to take our coats and check them when it got busy. The place was packed but they got our food out relatively fast. The ambiance was just delightful considering it was in a furniture store. The waterfall was a little loud but overall nice temp in here. The water glasses were a nice weight good hand feel. We ordered the cheese plate with warm baguette and it was delicious. What a magical place to dine! I have been coming to this area for years for work and generally stay within walking distance of RH Rooftop but had never been here until this past week. I loved the light, plants and chandeliers along with the table set ups to make the entire dining experience absolutely lovely. Our server was wonderful and very attentive. The RH Rooftop at RH Oak Brook is a lovely place for lunch or brunch. We were in the area and I made a reservation for a late lunch. We were shown to a table near the window, which would have been nice, but the table next to us still had plates and half-eaten meals on it (the guests had left). It wasn't very appetizing to look at, and the dishes were not cleared away until after we received our drinks. I had a rose lemonade and we shared some crispy artichokes. I'd never had this before, but this was nicely fried and accompanied by sliced potatoes and an aioli sauce. Very hearty. I ordered the Broiled King Salmon. This was cooked perfectly and was melt in your mouth delicious. It was accompanied by some greens. My companion had a salad with a filet and we shared some truffle fries (very good -- I saw actual truffles sprinkled throughout). This is prettily decorated with trees and greenery. I saw several tables taking pictures of the restaurant. It was a gloomy afternoon, so the view wasn't much, but I'm sure in the summer it can be very nice (especially if outside). I convinced myself to try the butterscotch brulee. It was ok, it didn't have the crackly crust -- could have been torched longer. Service was pleasant but a little disorganized. I'm somewhat torn on this review... It's a beautiful space, gorgeous and nicely done but it lacks warmth - unless you mean the incredible warmth from the sun beating down through the windows. If you're facing sunset - bring sunglasses - it's very hard to see. Food was good, but very expensive for what it was. Really, you're here for the atmosphere. Somewhat interesting menu - some of the dishes don't really seem to go together - though everything we had was good. However, portion size for the price was a bit small in my opinion. Service was pretty good, but we were sort of in the corner so it sometimes took a long time to get back to us. As we were leaving, it seemed that the diners had gone from families, couples and adults to a slightly younger group of maybe late teens/college students. Nothing rowdy. Overall, I don't know if the food/portion size was good enough for the price but the room is gorgeous. There are other quality spots in the area if you're looking solely at the food. We ordered crispy artichokes and grilled shrimp to start. I am in love with this style of artichoke. The shrimp were very flavorful and fresh. We ordered the RH Burger with sweet potato fries. Could only eat half as the burger comes as a 'double'. Made a good lunch the next day. Still good. The bar behind you, the hostess in front of you, the seating, the rooftop outdoor area, the chandeliers and pretty table settings. We had a big party that turned into 9, they were accommodating and reassured us that they would figure out a seating area for our party. This was my first time going to this restaurant. I've heard so many good things from people who I know that had eaten here. I decided to come here on Easter Sunday with my mom for Easter Sunday brunch. The building is across the parking lot of the Oak Brook shopping mall. So there is plenty of parking. When we entered, we were guided to the elevators as the first floor is Furniture that they are selling. When we got to the third floor, we went to the hostess station. They were very nice and was able to sit us down earlier as we arrived very early for our reservation. They had a large water fountain in the middle of the room and greenery everywhere like you were eating in a beautiful park. All the tables were made out of white marble some of the seats were long sofa like and chairs with no arms so the seating arrangement kind of felt like a community table where we sat because we were close to the family next to us and we sat in the corner of the restaurant by the windows where you could see the outdoor patio, which was a nice view. Currently, it was cold and raining today so they didn't have the walls opened that you can experience the outdoor breeze. Jose was our server. He was a very nice gentleman. My mom ordered a mimosa which was delicious. The orange juice tasted fresh. I ordered the Malbec wine, which was very smooth and tasty a good pair for our steak. We both shared two different dishes, the prime, ribeye steak we requested, medium. And the warm vegetable salad with grilled shrimp. We also ordered a side of potato purée. They put the dishes in the middle and gave us sharing plates, which was a nice touch since we said we were sharing the dishes. The potato purée came in a small dish with chives and seasoned butter. The potato was nice and creamy. The prime ribeye steak was enough for both of us to eat and it came with finishing salt flakes. But if this was my only dish, I would definitely finish it by myself no problem. For some reason, I was expecting it a bigger size kind of wish it was bone in ribeye personally and thicker. We are a bit snooty when it comes to a good piece of steak, it was a bit too much tendon my mom had a hard time chewing some of the meat and a little disappointing because it seemed dry and we noticed it after we finished eating the steak when our waiter Jose took the wooden serving platter up and away. There was a crack in it and all the steak juices were all over our table, no wonder why our steak was dry - so he had to grab a towel to wipe down the juices and noticed the crack too. Definitely should have not served that platter to customers. So if you order the steak and it comes on a wooden platter, make sure there's no cracks or else you will have the same dry steak. The warm salad with the grilled shrimp was very tasty. It had grilled sliced asparagus, zucchini, grilled corn kernels, soft ripe avocado and grilled shrimp we will definitely get this again. It took a while for our server to come back. We're thinking maybe because they were short staffed and it was a holiday. I was surprised that there was no water person refilling our water glasses for us. We also noticed that he was the only one serving in our row of tables so it took a while for us to order the butterscotch crème brûlée, which was tasty. We would definitely get that dessert again. The service was overall pretty decent, I would say "normal", definitely a step below what you'd expect from a place charging over $35 for a salad. One person got the wrong meal, which they took back and replaced with the correct meal and comped that meal which was nice. The restaurant is very cool inside visuals wise, with fountains, artificial trees, etc. Food, coming here and seeing other reviews I just knew it wasn't going to be great. I got the "fried chicken sandwich" which is $24 and worse than a Popeyes chicken sandwich. It's literally a piece of chicken on a bun with extremely thin pickles and such a small amount of mayo that it might have been a mistake. Worth noting that the $24 chicken sandwich comes à la carte, and fries are $11 lol. So 35 for a chicken sandwich and fries. My girlfriend has a shrimp "salad" which couldn't have had more than 2 shrimp in it total. It also had no lettuce, or anything that one would consider it to be a "salad", instead it was an odd bowl of asparagus, zucchini and again, such a small amount of shrimp it seemed like a mistake they even put them in there. There's more to say but I don't feel like typing more on my phone . To put the price into perspective - a glass of soda if you were to get that: $6. RH Rooftop is a beautiful restaurant on the top floor of Restoration Hardware in Oakbrook. We dined here on a Sunday for brunch. Four of us shared two starters, the crispy artichokes and the prosciutto board. The crispy artichokes were fabulous, crispy and seasoned well. The prosciutto board, however, only had three slices of prosciutto and four little cubes about the size of dice on the board. Very minimal for $24, disappointing. My step-daughter had the Mulholland Drive salad and my son-in-law had a lobster roll. The salad was a good size and the lobster roll looked like it had a good amount of lobster, but once cut in half you saw that the lobster was just fashioned on top of the bread and not fully stuffed within. Again, not worth $34. Hubs had the Italian benedict and I opted for an arugula salad. The Italian benedict had perfectly poached eggs on charred ciabatta. However, you had to pay an extra $10-12 for potatoes or fruit on the plate or a side of bacon. So a benedict plus bacon or potatoes would virtually come out to $34. Geez! My arugula salad was a good size. I liked the roasted grapes sprinkled on it and the vinaigrette was light and fresh. I added avocado for an additional $4, Gia our server was on top of everything and provided great service. As you can tell from my previous review, I really don't care about this restaurant because of the overpriced food. If the food was amazing and not just average, and the quantity wasn't so slim, I wouldn't mind the prices. We've dined at Michelin star restaurants and upscale restaurants where the pricing is acceptable because you're actually getting what you pay for. That I don't mind. In my previous review, I said I'd never come back to RH, but this was our kids' choice. I haven't changed my mind - this dining experience made me remember why I said that before. 10/10 would recommend and would come again! This place is beautiful and the prices for brunch are very reasonable for the quality of food you are given. I came with my partner for Valentine's Day right when they opened. It was easy to make a reservation and we were seated quickly. The service was just right and everyone was very kind. The interior is gorgeous and is one of the reasons I enjoyed dining here so much. In addition, the food tasted wonderful. I got the RH scramble ($18) and was surprised at how great eggs, butter, and toast could taste! I would highly recommend trying it. read more

Overall, I had a good experience! First time here was when they first opened and I'd say this experience was much better than my first. The rooftop is absolutely stunning, with a gorgeous waterfall, live greenery, and stunning lighting and furniture. The service was just okay, but I did enjoy my meal. read more

Genuine decline of a once great brand. Service was insane, the hostess immediately went ahead and said "auto gratuity applies fyi" infront of the entire party only to take us to a table with trash on the floor under it. If you're going to imply cost cautiousness for my party you should at least have the courtesy to keep the place clean. They then messed up the entire order and gave people the wrong items. But then the part that really got me was the fact that the food was bare. Maybe this is new, maybe it was always like this, but we got the burger, the katsu sandwich, the branzino, and several apps and the presentation was like a college student put the dish in a microwave and asked his friends over. Genuinely disappointed. Eaten here multiple times, and this was the worst. Oh and the Caesar salad was soggy? How does that even happen. read more

I had no idea what to expect when some friends suggested a work reunion at this local spot in Oakbrook. When I lived there, this place didn't exist so I couldn't wait to try it. Downstairs, there was a RH store and it was stunning. Not something I could afford but definitely good eye candy of furniture. We walked up the beautiful staircase and met our party. The service was spot on and there were so many items to choose from. I selected the whole branzino and customized my veggies. It was simply cooked to perfection. We also had the fries and they were delicious with truffle oil! I can't wait to go back to visit and meet up with friends again. read more
