I swore it off however I went and tried other studios where I could get more confident and understand the form. So coming back to Instaphysique I had more of a foundational knowledge and knew what was ahead of me. But not only that but you also start to find instructors that you prefer their cues and/or energy and that makes a HUGE difference. I love my classes Kristin and Marisa. Clear cues and they have no mercy on my hammies and booty cheeks - but in a good way. When I started I was 5 months postpartum and they were very dedicated to giving me modifications but as soon as my strength started to build again, they challenged me without being pushy or making me feel bad if I couldn't follow. Some tactical things: parking is great in the morning but once 12p and beyond hit, you're fighting lunch and dinner crowds in the parking lot. Not impossible but just not princess parking. There are two clean restrooms in the studio. There isn't really a designated bag/shoe place but you can have it at your station or against the wall. Classes are a bit pricey, I have a membership to cut some cost. However, it's a great 40 minutes and it goes by super fast. I find it to be a VERY efficient burn.

There were a few folks there in the morning. Someone was also cleaning the gym too. She was really doing a great job cleaning EVERYTHING. Kudos to her. First off, vibes are immaculate. Purple is one of my favorite colors, so when the lights turn on, it is an awesome setting to be in. High ceilings and a wide array of equipment. Treadmills, assault bikes, box jumps, free weights, barbells, mats, and more. The punchbag set up seem super interesting to me, so definitely interested in seeing them used in action. Classes are available too. I hope timing works out that next time I'm in the area, I can try a class out! A quick glance on their website, looks like they have a free "60-min Body Transformation Game Plan Session" (50 available) as of Mar'23. My friend and I had the most perfect workout class and spa day here at Body Heat. We purchased a…read moredrop in class and started our morning with a hot Pilates class. The class was fairly challenging but there were options to make it easier or harder, depending on your level. Afterwards we were able to enjoy the spa amenities! They had various rooms and devices. We did 40min in the dry sauna, rinsed off, a couple minutes in the red light, and finished with a couple minutes in the cold plunge. The sauna and cold plunges were able to accommodate two persons at once so I can see this being a great couples activity. Afterwards my body felt so amazing and relaxed! All the spaces were so clean and felt new. The bathrooms were very clean as well and provided shampoo/conditioner/body wash in the showers. I believe we met the owner at the front desk and she was so sweet and accommodating. She helped us navigate all the spaces of the spa and provided clean towels and eye masks. I'm not local to Sacramento but I'm definitely paying this place another visit whenever I'm back in town. Highly recommend!

What really stands out is the staff and the other members. Everyone is chill and genuinely helpful. No one feels judgy, and asking for a spot doesn't feel weird. If you have a question, people are cool about it. That kind of atmosphere makes it easy to keep showing up. The Skelcore machines are some of the most ergonomic equipment I've ever used. Everything feels smooth, controlled, and dialed in. If something breaks, it's fixed promptly. There's also equipment there I've never seen before until now that really comes in clutch when you want to train a movement a certain way.
