Needed an install for an EV charger. Found RF in an online forum, and given the reviews seemed good, gave them a shot. First of all, the price was reasonable and I was happy with the quality of the install. Most people are not too price sensitive given many utilities rebate the cost of the install, but even then Russell's quote came in under the rebate cap, whereas a quote from a competitor was over the cap (so I would've been a few hundred dollars out of pocket if I went that route). Also Russell does appy for the permit for you, which is nice. He also provides a thorough email about the available rebates, and how to qualify. read more

I used RF to install a Tesla NEMA 14-50 outlet outside of my house. Russ explained everything to me over the phone and set expectations on how it will work. He was the only electrician to ask for pictures of the inside and outside of the house beforehand and provided me with an accurate estimate. He also submitted a detailed load report directly to Tesla. The two installers were professional and had the installation completed in less than the estimated time. We needed to install a Tesla wall connector recently, following the instructions from Test.com, we found several local Tesla certified electrical contractors. RF Electrical Contractors is one of them that we've contacted. RF's web site was extremely helpful, it had very detailed instructions on the needed pictures for them to assess the conditions of the installations. Pictures were taken, and uploaded to the site, proposal came back the next day. Most of electricians we contacted had similar requirements for the photos, but RF was the one that had the most clear instructions on their website. There are differences in the proposals that we've received, RF was the one that had the fine details on the scope of work (including materials and specs), and the cost of each items. Finally, their proposal was very fair among all that we've received. Upon agreement, the work started two days later, the wall connector we ordered from Tesla unexpectedly not delivered on time, fortunately, RF had it in stock. The installation was done smooth and quick, the electricians were pilot, patience, and professional. They clean the basement and the garage where the work was done. From 1st contact to complete the installation, it took about 4 days. All works well so far. We are happy. Highly recommended. read more

RF Electric installed a charger for my Tesla, replaced the old electric panel with a newer safer one, upgraded my service to a higher ampere rating and installed a generator interlock. They figured out a clever way to get wires out of my basement into the garage, without having to drill too many holes. They did all this in one day. An excellent job. Their price is fair. We had the misfortune of having a circuit breaker problem where the breaker blew and wouldn't reset--none of the switches or outlets on that circuit worked. I went to the BBB website and found an electrician in my town--RF Electric-- with an A+ rating and I looked at his website. Since it was "after business hours" I emailed Mr Frank with our problem and a photo attachment of our old 100 amp breaker box to identify the problem breaker, thinking he might get back to us the next day. Within the hour of sending the email, he called my husband to discuss the issue and scheduled a repair for early the next morning. The technician arrived as scheduled and quickly discovered a short on a bathroom switch, which he repaired. He checked the wiring and also installed a GFCI. Problems solved!
