For weeks, we'd been having ongoing electrical issues in the house that seemed pretty serious. We'd called a number of electricians in the area, and the simple task of getting someone to show up to take a look turned out to be no simple task at all. We pretty much went down the list of local electricians reviewed on Yelp, and we finally got around to calling Fletcher and Son Electrical, and frankly, we'd have done well to have called them much sooner. We spoke to someone at the office named Angelique, who patiently and professionally helped take some initial assessments of our electrical issues and helped setup an appointment. A few days later, Eric came over our house and spent at least half an hour outside in the freezing cold, rewiring corroded connections in our service panel. He couldn't have been more professional, and I really learned a lot from talking to him and watching him work. We have used Fletcher & Son Electrical for two major jobs - a kitchen remodel and for installation of a stand-by generator. This company does top notch work from the first phone call until the last bit of electrical tape is swept away. The office staff, usually Angelique, could not be more friendly or more helpful. She understands your needs right away and makes sure an electrician calls back within a few hours. She even helps with referrals for other contractors, and does the leg-work of finding phone numbers and locations. The electricians, managed by Eric, are knowledgeable, efficient, courteous, and friendly. They easily coordinated with all of the other contractors so that there was never a job delay because of an electrical issue. They gave good advice when a choice was involved so that we could make informed decisions, and they have an eye for aesthetics when it comes to design. Their prices are very competitive as well. Not sure what the deal is with these guys. Called them twice for an estimate for different projects. The first was installing a recessed outlet and one coaxial run - they said they were booked out too far for the work and to contact someone else. The second time was for re-wiring a light pole on my driveway. This time an electrician came out for an estimate, but one month later I never actually received and estimate. read more

We recently used Fletcher and Son for several electrical needs and we couldn't be more pleased. Peter arrived at his designated appointment time and he kept hustling all day long. I don't even think he took a break for lunch. Said they would get back to me with an estimate, never heard from them again. Now 3 months out. Contractors should take a course in how to deal with people, if you are not interested say so. I called Fletcher electric today and had not a pleasing experience at all. Where are local people who had a horrible devastation completely lost one house and need power restored to the other house, I was instructed that we were cleared by the electric company and to call for an electrician, Angelique wouldn't make an appointment to come out to the property or even tell me if they could help, I was given the runaround.... get some numbers...go and check the property .....and when I called back two and a half hours later I was flat-out told there was no time to help me in the next three and a half days and call someone else. So I guess if you have some nice clean job like a kitchen or something he'd be certainly interested but if you're in need call somebody else Now I would like to add two hours later I'm back online because I hung up and called plesh electric who met me at the property in under 1 hour and agreed to do my emergency repair tomorrow 908-800-2940 In response to your response If you had any idea what you were doing you would know that a DR number from Jersey Central Power & Light says that everything is clear and it's a go you asked for the number and you questioned the physical condition of the property none of which was necessary, I'm not sure why I even entertained you I asked you to put a meter on the outside of the house. I contacted Fletcher & Son about an electrical and tv mounting job. They came at a timely manner to quote the job. Very nice, very professional. Unfortunately I got the proposal exactly a week later. I contacted them once I received it to schedule the job. I was told that I'd get a call back as soon as they have a better idea. Needless to say, I never got the call.
