We selected Blue Dream Pool to resurface our gunite pool after meeting with several pool companies. We had a bad experience with another company the year before so we were extra diligent in the selection process. We are extremely happy with the results. Hikmet and his team were very impressive. From the onset, the proposal was what we had asked for and the price was very reasonable with no upselling. Everyone on the job was professional, courteous and extremely hard working. We were amazed that the work was completed in just three days. The first day they repaired all the loose and broken tiles on the coping and the deck. We did not have enough tiles so they went out and found matching tiles! The second day there was a team of five to clean out the old surface and lay the bonding material and the third day there was a different crew of seven to lay the new floor. The pool looks like it did when we first had it put in over 15 years ago! On top of that we needed some underwater lights fixed a week later and Hikmet sent one of his crew out to finish the job. Recommendation for Blue Dream Pools I had just had a very bad experience with a different company which after two weeks had left my pool a mess with the tiles partially removed, the cement damaged and looking very poor. Blue Dream Pools came to the rescue. The whole team was knowledgeable. They worked efficiently and they were easy to work with. After signing the contract they had 3 people over the next day to repair the cement work, remove the remaining tiles, and refinish the walls. The second day they sent 5 people who laid the tiles, acid washed the pool and deck, and repaired a skimmer. They finished the job on the second day. The tiles and pool sparkled. They cleaned up and closed the pool, leaving everything clean and beautiful. They even checked after they had finished that everything had been done to my liking. We had our pool completely renovated. What a great job Blue Dream did. From start to finish everything was done on time and professional.

Our experience with Blue Dream was more like a frustrating nightmare. We contacted Blue Dream Pools in March of this year, met with them, and then signed with them (and paid a deposit) on March 19th to do our renovation on our 30,000 gallon pool and hardscape (replace liner, re-do KoolDeck, re-attach coping and re-do our natural stone waterfall) after an excellent job of selling the company's services and supposed vast amounts of experience by the business owner, who would not even look at pictures of what we were looking for, claiming he had a "vision" for how our pool should look. He claimed they had experience in all aspects of pool renovation, including masonry and waterfalls. We were told it was a 4-5 day job and would begin on April 3rd or 4th. Well - the job did start on April 4th, but was JUST finished on June 7th. Granted, we had some bad weather during that time so we'll give them a pass for a week or 2, but this is ridiculous. When we were told the crew would be out on certain days, they often would not show up and the owner would not answer the phone or return calls. We had to trick him by calling from a different number. He then immediately picked up, after not responding to numerous texts or calls over a period of days. (Any attempt to leave a voicemail resulted in "voicemail full" for the entire period.) And to top it off, they wouldn't listen to what we said we wanted when it came to the look of the waterfall or coping. His "vision" of how our natural stone waterfall should look consisted of trying to put in pieces of big, flat squares of Belgian block. Not acceptable. So my husband had to meet their mason at the stone places to pick out the stone. Once they got the stones in place, the mason was going to show my husband how it looked before it was cemented in. But they went ahead and cemented it in - with big gaps between the stone and way too much concrete. Does not remotely look natural at all. They finally got to the point of draining the pool and removing the old liner. But instead of returning the next day as planned to install the new liner (which had been sitting on our patio for weeks), they did not return for about over a week. We got into a dangerous situation with our dog, who fell in the pool and slightly hurt herself. So for a couple of weeks our 75 lb German Shepherd had to be on a leash EVERY time she went out in the backyard. They finally get the liner installed, but still had all the covers to put no the pop-ups, jets and lights, etc. and a ton of garbage to remove from our yard. The owner had the nerve to ask for the remainder of the money before the job was even completed. Needless to say, we didn't do it because we didn't think they come back to finish! After a few days, they finally finished as much as they were going to and we just wanted them gone, so we said "send us a bill". The owner called or texted every day for a few days, but we did not answer to give him a taste of his own medicine. (Someone did come out to pick up the check.) Unfortunately, they had placed a piece of duct tape with a number on it on each of the 110 pieces of coping to remember where each was installed. I understand THAT, but after being stuck to the coping for 2 months we have glue to remove on each of the 110 pieces of coping. And we now have to fix the waterfall ourselves. We completely understand that the worker's hands were tied and they had to do whatever the owner told them to do. But each of them mentioned the many jobs they were working on day to day. So, it's pretty obvious this guy took on too many jobs and then could not finish them. And then the work was iffy at best. If there were other extenuating circumstances, we should have been made aware of them. Do yourself a favor and DON'T GO THERE!!!! read more

My original pool had a white cement coping which had badly spalled and cracked over time. Hikmet and his crew replaced it with new stone to match the surrounding patio and it literally looks better than the original. This involved cutting 4 large curves and 2 step outs which had to not only match the pool profile but the cut stone of the patio. Giving Blue Dream Pool 1 star is generous. They never return phone calls and their voicemail mail box is always full so you can't leave a message. They don't show when scheduled. Moreover they drained too much water from my pool when closing it and did a poor job on repairs to pool coping which resulted in my pool liner collapsing and ultimately had to be replaced because they did a shoddy and poor job. I ll come and follow up your concerns On Tuesday, June 21, 2016: Underneath the liner I can feel multiple areas of debris some of which are sharp and painful when its stepped upon. This is not isolated too one area of the pool. You states you were going to fix any areas of needed vermiculite before installing the liner! There are multiple areas where the bottom of the pool has significant areas of an uneven surfaces! These should have been fixed! You ran the wiring for the shallow end light over the water hose to the slide NOT under according to code! After your masons where attempting to place the railing to the shallow end it was determined that it would stick out to far and be a possible trip hazard! Your masons strongly suggested putting it in the center as 1 railing. I even asked them to measure how far out it would come and it indicated 6 inches. They told me to s/w about it I did and when I returned it was 12 inches out and not grounded! Railing also shakes side to side making it unsafe to enter or leave the pool. Molding to the one side of the step you can stick you finger right behind it. There is obvious area of the wall that should have been fixed prior to installation. I have noticed that I'm losing water! and yes I know about evaporation! but have concerns that the debris under the lining can have caused a tear! there a couple of concerns David and I need to s/w about. I had Blue dream replaster and retile my pool. I have had a very positive experience. They also created a retaining wall and fixed/stabilize all of my pool filter equipment that was on a mountain incline. This was a very difficult job and they did excellent work. I had all new brick and tile installed in my pool about 3 years ago. During Hurricane Sandy an umbrella stand crashed into the brick and broke 9 bricks. I called Blue Dream Pools to see if I could get it repaired exactly like it was because the workmanship was impressive. Blue Dream Pools sent a guy the next morning for the repair. He removed the damaged brick, cut new ones and made sure everything was very level. The 9 bricks were cut well and match. The grout is lighter but it's also newer. He was extremely neat not to get cement or debris in the pool or on my patio. He cleaned up very well. I read the other reviews here and am sorry they had a bad experience but I thought the workmanship was high quality. read more

I should have read the reviews before I hired him. My first negative was when he asked for half of the quote as a deposit which I did not give him. Second was when the crew came they didn't have any hoses or buckets. How can you send a crew without the proper tools. Not only did they use my buckets but they took them. The plaster crew looks for areas under your deck or anywhere else where can throw the extra plaster. They cleaned the plaster hopper over my garden. Plaster all over the plants. Then he wanted me to pay in cash so he could beat paying taxes on the income. I didn't do that either. Once he was done and paid just like he did to others we never heard from him. He gave no instructions on how initially treat the pool. When we called he said get your pool guy to help us. I told him I am the pool guy! read more

I've used Hikmet and his team for the last five years since I have owned my house. When we purchased our house the pool was in absolute shambles including broken coping, a failed expansion joint and pool tiles at the bottom of the pool. Hikmet came in and did a wonderful job of fixing the coping and expansion joint and removing and adding new tiles. The next season we had some issues with a few tiles falling into the pool and he came in and repaired it at no cost to us. Ever since then there have been no further issues. He also replaced my main pump, and DE filter that were on their last legs. I also had him redo my plaster with a beautiful granite finish. My pool looks like a brand new pool. This is the second time I have used Hikmet and Blue Dream Pool to do work on my in ground gunite pool. As usual he and his team have done excellent work. The first round of work done about 6 years ago was the replacement of old tile and coping that was dated to a new brick style coping. They did an excellent job back then and the work held up well so when we decided that we wanted to redo the entire backyard replacing the concrete, installing a spillover spa, redoing the plumbing and replacing pretty much every part of the system we immediately called Hikmet.
