I am not at all tech savvy and could not manage this by myself. My initial phone call with Glynn was very good. He was able to look at my house through Google maps and give me an indication of where on the house the best location for cameras would be. I scheduled an appointment for Glynn and his team (I don't remember the name of the guy who did the installation) to come out and install the cameras. They were right on time and had my cameras installed within a couple of hours of getting here. My house is old, from the 30's, and they were able to install and hide the wires by going under the house and through the detached garage. Once the cameras were ready, Glenn got the system up and running on my laptop and my phone. Once again, I am not good with technology, but he explained it so well that I can navigate the system on my own. The phone app is extremely easy for me to use when I'm away from home. After the initial installation, Glenn stopped by to help tweak the system and help me with any questions. We also did a remote session for other questions I had. The quality of the saved video is excellent. Overall, I would highly recommend Halcyon Security Systems and Glynn and his team.

We've used Halcyon Mobile Security Solutions for almost 5 years even through an ownership change for various upgrades, repairs, and new camera installations. Overall, the quality of their work has been solid once completed, and their technicians are knowledgeable and professional on-site. We did run into an issue with a camera that was sold to us by a previous rep (who is no longer with the company). The camera's speaker never worked as promised, and it took quite a bit of back and forth to troubleshoot. While the team eventually helped address the concern, communication delays made it harder to resolve quickly. Another recent project, getting a quote and installation for an additional camera -- took about two weeks from start to finish. While that's not terrible, shortening that turnaround could really improve the customer experience and help boost their sales, since responsiveness is key in this kind of service. Despite some bumps, we continue to use Halcyon because they do solid work once the ball gets rolling. With a few improvements to follow-up times and communication, they could easily earn that fifth star.

As a senior citizen, I rely on my home security system for peace of mind--but for months, my ADT system has been non-functional. I made dozens of phone calls, each taking up to an hour just to get past the maze of hold music and transfers. After finally reaching someone who could help, I was told I needed a brand-new system and a new contract. So I agreed, trusting that this would finally resolve the issue. Wrong. A technician came to my home and spent over 6 hours trying to install the system--only to tell me it wouldn't work without new motion sensors, which I had to pay for out of pocket. I was also misled into thinking the new system would work with my existing cameras. It doesn't. The best part? After all that time, effort, and money--the new system doesn't even work. It constantly malfunctions, giving false alerts and telling me doors are open when they're not. Total failure. This is a company that profits off fear, offers misleading sales pitches, fails to deliver basic service, and then has the audacity to lock you into a contract. Their "customer service" is a joke--disorganized, evasive, and completely indifferent to your time and safety. Do yourself a favor--don't walk, RUN from ADT.

Moreover, if you had visited my location, I could have discussed two additional tasks that would significantly increase the scope and cost of the project to your advantage. In response to the owner, I did provide descriptions for additional projects in the original request. I was concerned about potential damage to the tiles that could require significant repairs. I have expressly said that I was willing to pay a premium for proper handling of the situation. When I mentioned those concerns, other providers did express a lot more caution about the tile situation and they came out to make sure it could be done. I understand that there's an opportunity cost to come out in person but I expected a premium service provider to be able to do so. That's simply not materialized.
