We experienced hail damage to our 1980's brown bubbled skylights. We were so excited to be able to get new updated clear skylights. I did lots of research looking for the right company to do our repairs. We found Skylight Specialists and decided to give them a call for an estimate quote for our insurance company. I spoke with Josh Ewing. He was very knowledgeable about the products, product options, and provided us an estimate for our insurance company quicker than expected. We decided to go through Skylight Specialists and Josh Ewing got everything handled and got our materials on order. Mike called once all the materials arrived to schedule but unfortunately our HOA decided to replace the roofs so it put our skylights on hold for a couple of months. Skylight Specialists were amazing with holding on to our materials and being patient while we waited for the roof to be replaced. Once the roof was replaced, Mike setup the install for us. Kenny and Devin arrived promptly even earlier than expected which was awesome and they completed the job sooner than I had expected. The quality of the materials, the installation, and customer service received during this whole experience was top notch. Thank you Skylight Specialists, Josh Ewing, Mike, Kenny, and Devin for all of your hard work and making our home look amazing with these gorgeous skylights. Disappointing Experience -- No-Show for Scheduled Appointment…read more We scheduled an appointment with Skylight Specialists / See the Light Windows to measure our home for five replacement windows and a sliding glass door. I originally requested a Saturday appointment, but because none was available, we delayed our vacation departure specifically to accommodate their Monday appointment scheduled between 1:00 and 1:15 p.m. Unfortunately, no one showed up. By 1:45 p.m., I had to call the company myself to find out what had happened. I spoke with Blade, who was cordial and explained that my phone number apparently had not been "keyed" into their system correctly. This was particularly frustrating because I entered my information correctly when scheduling online, and they had both my correct email address and home address in their system. Blade said he had attempted to text me and wanted to reschedule for another day. However, when a customer doesn't respond to a text--particularly for a scheduled sales appointment--a simple follow-up email or phone-number verification could have prevented the situation. What bothered me most was that although Blade was cordial, there was no real acknowledgment that their mistake had wasted my time and caused us to delay our vacation departure for an appointment they failed to keep. Instead, the solution was simply to reschedule for another day. Mistakes happen. An incorrectly entered phone number alone would not normally cause me to leave a negative review. The bigger issue was the lack of follow-through. They had my correct email and address, yet apparently made no additional attempt to contact me, and I ultimately had to call them to find out they weren't coming. Window and door replacement is a significant investment that requires accurate measurements, careful coordination, good communication, and attention to detail. If a company can't reliably manage the initial sales and measurement appointment, it raises legitimate concerns about how the actual installation and any subsequent issues will be handled. Based on our experience, I would recommend potential customers take this into consideration before choosing this company.

Accuserve assigned Pioneer Home Solutions to our repairs. It took over a year to get a new standard-size window! Pioneer Home Solutions failed to fulfill its obligations with Accuserve and consistently submitted inaccurate bids to our insurance company. They refused to complete the work until they received additional money from our insurance company, who agreed to pay them more money. When I called Pioneer to schedule the job, they refused to do the work because they still wanted more money! The owner called us with Jayme Woodey and asked us to tell Accuserve the work was done so they could get paid. They essentially held hostage for more money. Pioneer Home Solutions displayed a complete lack of organization and professionalism throughout the process. They didn't care my teenage daughter was sleeping in a room that was easily accessible without a window! They were more concerned with making a profit than completing the job efficiently and effectively. Ultimately, we had to find another contractor to finish the job properly, which cost us even more time. As I mentioned, getting a new standard-size window took over a year! I strongly advise against hiring Pioneer Home Solutions, as their incompetence and lack of professionalism made our experience a complete nightmare.

They needed to sign the check and send it to the mortgage company to get more funds. This is common practice and something this company should know. We will be contacting our mortgage company and insurance adjuster to let them know we will need to hire someone else to complete the work. We will NEVER use this company again.
