This is a go to place for friends and family. Besides being along a major bike path, it's got a great, chill atmosphere and a good place to hang out for breakfast. We really like the coffee, and the various named breakfast dishes. Maybe a little on the pricey side, but they seem well worth it, filling, interesting, and in a good variety that's worth checking out multiple times. The building is in an area is under construction, so parking was a little tough this time, but normally there's ample parking in back. I would definitely recommend for a breakfast or brunch experience. We've gotten various egg sandwiches on bagels or homemade biscuits and there are enough kinds that you really couldn't go wrong. Staff seemed very friendly, and we've never had a problem getting a seat inside since they expanded. read more

Okay iced latte and okay bagel with cream cheese. The iced latte had a nice coffee flavor but it was hard to catch because it was pretty watered down. Their to go cups are terrible--it dripped coffee on me through my entire consumption experience, getting worse as it went on. The solution would be to stick a straw in the sip opening, but that wastes even more plastic so it wasn't my instinct. Find new cups. The bagel was decent, not quite the right texture but fine for Boston. The standard seems to be toasted, which is good--they didn't ask, it just came toasted automatically. Thanks to other reviewers who noted the built-in kitchen fee. I don't have an issue with its existence, but they should give people a heads up so you can build it into your tipping, especially for to go orders. read more

I visited here with some friends recently and it's a nice place, with ample seating available. Good coffee and other drinks and their menu of pastries and whatnot is very decent. On site parking (at the time of my visit several months ago) is only available on weekends and there no on-street parking at all on this street; otherwise, you have to park in the MBTA Alewife Parking Garage. I believe the onsite, weekend parking my have recently been taken away by he building management, so check on this before you go. Employees were kind and professional. First time at this cafe and will definitely return- it's about a 10-15 minute walk from the Alewife T, though tucked away and not on a main street. Staff here are super nice, and I was pleasantly surprised to see a lot of tea options here. I am allergic to coffee, so it's nice to see different drinks other than the standard black iced tea or hot tea. I got the iced red crema which was a rooibos latte with honey - quite tasty! The only thing I didn't like was the breakfast sandwich I got, but it's personal taste. I got the Salt and Pepa which was egg, bacon, and cheese on a homemade biscuit. New(ish) spot. I believe the wrap I got was a special because it's not apart of the regular menu. It was a super delicious fried chicken breakfast wrap with tots inside. Incredibly filling and I only had half a wrap and then the other half later. The man who took our order at the front was super friendly as well. It's a newer place so it wasn't too busy which I thought was nice for a Saturday afternoon. Also since it wasn't too busy the restaurant was nice and quiet and clean. They have sparkling water in tap but I don't think it was working because it can out flat with a bit of a taste. My wrap was around ~$13. Revival selling expired food and I also experienced deplorable and unacceptable customer service from Jaime (or Jamie) at Davis location. The food came unfresh and expired. No one cared to check the overnight oats and the entire batch was expired and sold at all Revival locations. These were only pulled when I called to ask why the overnight oats tasted so sour, tart, carbonated, and rotten. I initially spoke to a wonderful person named Cameron, who was incredibly kind, apologetic, and genuine. He even said he and others tasted the overnight oats to confirm they were in fact expired. Cameron was the total opposite of Jaime, who made it sound like the customer's problem. When I asked Jaime for a replacement or a gift card for this experience directly from the store, as a show of accountability and customer loyalty, Jaime basically said absolutely not. She sounded extremely resistant to to make anything right and when I told her I will be posting a review about this and contacting the health board, she sarcastically said "PLEASE do!" So, that's what I'm doing. I'm hopeful that every employee will learn from Cameron, who I hope becomes a manager. The way he listened and responded to the situation was extremely professional and did not exacerbate the problem, like Jaime chose to do. And it's really about principle. If Jaime had offered, say a $5 gift card, or said "the next one's on us" or something to that effect, or even attempted an apology, then I would have not have felt inclined to post this review and to get the health board involved. But again, she urged me to post this review and to escalate the situation with the health board. Please use caution when dealing with Jaime, if she is still at Revival. But hopefully you come across other professional and much more qualified staff members, especially Cameron, who was such a sweetheart. Learn from him. WOW! This cafe is outstanding! From the ambiance, which is comfy, chic, welcoming and quirky with cool music, large cookbooks to flip through and little toy Pee Wee's Playhouse figurines to pose while you wait, to the warm, friendly counter service to the amazing food, Revival has it all. And did you know they make English muffins and bagels? It is this attention to detail that puts it over the top exceptional. I've spent weekend solo coffee hours here reading a book and took refuge here when my building had a fire drill at 8am in the morning and I recently started enjoying their "Supper Club" meals they have available on Thursdays. All of these have been a smash hit and it's so fun to look forward to picking up the meal each Thursday and having dinner done I love the coffee of course and the crumb cake and cookies. The supper club meals have all been so delicious from Turkey meatballs to cassoulet to lime chicken tacos. All of the portions are so generous and the food is so fresh and just beyond tasty and each meal comes with a lovely dessert like brownies or cookies - my fave were the key lime crumble bars. I'm so glad to have this cafe nearby. I recently moved back to the Boston area after many years away in San Francisco and this place makes me feel like there's truly no place like home. Yes, I am a fan! Don't be put off by the 1980's business park feel from the building, Revival is a cool cafe with great food. There is a big parking lot in the back if you happen to be driving, they also have outdoor seating out back for the nice days. They have a great breakfast selection, I've gotten egg white with cheese and broccoli situation, hold the aioli. I am not a huge fan of their coffee, it seems to be a lighter roast and I am a dark roast fan. They have great specials everyday, but get there early because they can run out. I usually get the fried egg plant sandwich with whipped goat cheese and pickles. It. Is. Awesome. I've also gotten the turkey sandwich which is very good as well. Revival is on the pricier side ($10+) for a sandwich after tax without any sides but the ingredients are high quality so it is usually worth the price. read more

Not for the Gluten Free! The stars are for the service, the people who work in Revival Kitchen Cambridge, they are wonderful! I love the idea behind the creative cuisine that this restaurant offers, but in practice, they leave A LOT to be desired for people who are gluten-free. Even things that are usually and easily made gluten-free, like lentil soup, have gluten. Many of us are interested in gluten-free these days, and I'm hoping that this review might reach one of the chef/owners, and that they wake up to the possibility of offering truly healthy, delicious food without gluten. read more

I was in this area and wanted to take a coffee break. I yelped and found this place. It was a little hard to find it, because it was in the big office building and the lobby was so quiet on Saturday. At first the cafe was closed but it was actually open. I had cappuccino and seasonal fruit danish. Cappuccino was very good. I really liked their danish. No t like usual American danish, it was not too sweet. The cream from fruit was a little sour and little sweet. Danish was crispy. The baristas are friendly. Wonderful to see the next iteration of Crema Cafe, which was one of my favorite joints when I lived in Cambridge. Came here to pick up coffee before embarking on a walk around Fresh Pond with a good friend. What a great find! I picked up an oatmilk Matcha, it was sweeter than I expected but super delicious. It definitely served me well in my trek around the Pond. I also took a chance to try the Cardamom Rose Latte. WOW the flavor was totally delightful and really elegant. Again, a bit sweet for my personal taste but completely delightful. I would LOVE to try this again half sweet. Definitely a convenient location, especially if you're biking/walking through the area! Mudslide Cookie ($2.85): I was craving a good chocolate snack this day and this cookie just hit the spot for me. It is crisp on the outside, moist and chewy in the inside, and has the perfect balance of sweet and bitter thanks to walnuts. Jimmy Pesto ($6.25): I subbed for egg whites but this sandwich has eggs, feta, spinach, red onions, and sunflower seed pesto. First off the bread was grilled to perfection. It was buttery and just the right amount of flaky ness. The pesto really comes through and the cheese also had a good pull! Almond Butter + fluffernutter ($6.00): I had high hopes for this sandwich because I was excited to see revivals twist on the Massachusetts classic. But I was slightly disappointed because of my high expectations haha. Every single component of the sandwich was fantastic. Like their house made almond butter is so delicious! Nutty and slightly sweet and the sweet potato bread was also delicious and HUGE. But I wish the sandwich was grilled at the end be hot fluffernutter sandwich is like godsend. This is so far overdue, I've been ordering here basically every other day for about 3 years. I get the bagelicious and add sausage, or if there's a special I usually get that to try it out, almost all of which are outstanding. On Fridays I will add a chai morning bun (or whatever the seasonal variant is). I have NEVER been disappointed. Their consistency in providing excellent food is SSS tier. Also to the person in the kitchen who hooked it up today, you're an absolute legend. Also the revamped interior looks great and can seat wayyy more people. read more

I usually get the "Cornholio" and "Here's Your BLT". The "Cornholio" is very tasty, but it's a little too oily for me. "Here's Your BLT" is probably my favorite of the two. This is a very cute local coffee shop with a wide variety of specialty drinks and breakfast and lunch items. Really enjoyed my mocha nut drink; the vanilla cold foam was really great and I would highly recommend it. We also tried a variety of the breakfast foods like the bagel with harissa hummus and different chicken pesto sandwich things. One tricky thing about Alewife in general is that if you're on the wrong side of the river it can take a bit longer to walk to than you might expect. Also there's construction going on in the area at the moment and so it was a bit confusing to find where the actual cafe is located. But once I was able to get inside ,the food and everything was quite nice and it seemed like a nice vibe; would definitely go back here in the future. read more

This is a cute little cafe in the Cambridgepark Drive office park which is elsewise pretty low on food options other than food trucks that serve lunch for the office buildings. The menu is small but interesting and the food is good. Since Revival is actually in my office building, I've had the opportunity to have several lunches here. Two items I'd particularly recommend are the chopped salad and chicken salad sandwich (both of these have the unusual and tasty addition of cherries!). They also have a large selection of bakery items, including filled croissants (messy but good), huge cookies, and some smaller treats like macaroons. Their coffee is good, but unusually expensive for the area (compare to the cafe at 200 CPD right up the street - it's about double). read more
