Made late reservations for dinner on Saturday night. Was seated promptly. I initially expected this place to be bigger. Tables were spaced out but it was really loud in there. It wasn't a bother but I just thought the place would be a little more intimate. Service was good. Slow at times but they were busy so it wasn't a bother. We received complimentary bread. It was okay. Kind of dry. Appetizers were crab cake and calamari. They were good. The marinara sauce was bland for calamari. For entrees my guests and I ordered the Lobster ravioli, rigatoni vodka and the filet. When ordering the entrees the server asked if we want house or ceasar salad. Two of us chose ceasar salad. It was a $2 up charge which we weren't told about. The server probably should have told us but no big deal as I still probably would have chose it. The ceasar salad was good. The dressing was great and garlicky. Entrees came out and the vodka rigatoni was bland. My filet mignon was perfectly cooked and tender but was kind of bland as well. It needed a lot more pepper. Lobster ravioli my husband ordered was good and filling. Overall a good place. We all left full. The food was good but nothing truly wowed us. I would settle on 3.5 stars. read more

The Revere has always been one of my top favorite restaurants. Every year, my family has a dinner here and my husband and I frequent them. The bacon dusted calamari is his favorite and I love their vodka sauce. We've tried two of the family packages to-go being offered right now- the bbq package and the boom boom package and both are absolutely delicious! Ordering has been super easy, pick up is just as easy and the food is hot and filling! Thanks, Revere team for always being pleasant and helpful, even during these hard times! I dined here with friends recently while visiting the area. I was warned to save lots of room in my tummy for dinner because we would chow down like no other that night. Revere is a favorite of my friends and now I know why. Joe (the owner) was an amazing host and took complete care of us. I asked Joe for roasted garlic...which isn't on the menu...and viola! We had a black skillet of roasted garlic cloves suspended in olive oil. I dipped and smeared it on everything. We were served family-style with one course after another. To be completely honest, we had more food that I can recall! But I will say this, ALL of it was some of the best Italian food I've had in a very very long time. I could taste Joe's Grandmother's love in every bite. Each morsel rich in family tradition. Part of the great dining experience was the live entertainment in the bar area. This young one-man band was amazing! He's able to impersonate singers from Sinatra to Barry White. When you visit Revere, please leave your diets at home and say hello to Joe! So we don't often leave a restaurant and rave like I'm about to, but while I'm 100% sure their indoor environment is as wonderful, my husband & I just can't do indoors and this outdoor experience makes us not wanting to think indoors. It is 28 degrees outside and we were warm like indoors in Revere's incredible tent with plenty of heaters. We couldn't believe it!!!! And to top it off, their food is outrageously delicious!!!! The owner is Andrew and he is so friendly and appreciative, and our server was Alex who has such a wonderful personality. I have been out to many of restaurant in my day, but revere restaurant takes the cake. Unbelievable service by my server Mike. He was very knowledgeable about the menu and knows his trivia. Don't get him started on Tv show theme songs, he knows them all. I would suggest getting the mozzarella alla vodka and any of the steaks, they are always top notch. This place is great. My Mother recommend this place so I said why not? When you drive by you see a full parking lot but wonder what this kind of joint / restraunt could offer. The atmosphere here is great. The music is not too loud and you can pleasantly have a conversation here. The staff was very friendly and very attentive. In general, I felt like I was being taken care of very well. The food here is very good as well. I had some kind of chicken stuffed with ricotta cheese and asparagus (I think). For $20 ish dollars, the portion was huge and very tasteful! Check out my picture below to see what I'm talking about. When you get a chance stop by. My husband and I had a great anniversary dinner here last night! We started with bacon dusted calamari, then Caesar salad and I had gemelli with sausage, parm, arugula and balsamic. The bowl was huge, hot and delicious. My husband had pasta fra Diablo. It was loaded with shrimp and crab. Dessert was tiramisu which was fresh and really tasty! I can't believe I haven't written about BACON DUSTED CALAMARI! Yes, it's as awesome as it sounds. Revere is in this odd part of town, kind of on route 29, but not. I don't particularly like to come eat INSIDE because it's all dark and gloomy no matter what type of 90 degree weather sunshine is outside. The place gives you the feeling that there is some kind of illegal mob business going on in the table next to you; which I guess adds to it's charm because next thing you know you are whispering to your date. Now the food - I've been here a handful of times and have never been disappointed with anything I've ordered. I prefer to come during the week for lunch as they have a $10 lunch menu that rocks. But everything from the penne vodka (creamy to perfection), to the roasted revere chicken (big enough to easily feed two) is absolutely delicious. What I never, ever skip out on here is the appetizer - bacon dusted calamari. It's their own take on it, so it's kind of sweet, salty and bacony - absolutely perfect. I haven't had anything like that anywhere else. I am taking one star out because it always seems like there is only one server on at all times so if there are a few tables in there, it takes awhile. Then the bartender is not very knowledgeable on drinks besides wines, but I guess this is that kind of place where you order wine and not a bay breeze. Definitely get here and look as shady as possible....trust me, you will fit in and next thing you know you will leave with a greasy Italian mobster accent. read more

I'm struggling with the review, because overall dinner last night was a very positive experience. We loved the service. We loved the cheese bread & salads (be sure to get the dressing on the side, since my companion's salad was drowning). I had delicious grilled salmon, mashed potatoes & veggies. My friend ordered veal marsala that was way way heavy with cracked peppercorns, and she is not a fan of spicy foods. We each had ice tea, and halfway through the meal we were offered refills to the rather small glasses of tea. My friend had coffee & we shared a delicious tiramisu. When the check came, we were charged for 4 ice teas @ $2 each. I found that really poor business, and said so when the embarrassed waitress came for our payment. She said that there are no free refills except coffee at Revere, and I got the feeling this is something she deals with all the time. Despite the good food and service, I took a star for that refill policy. Maybe I'm being petty, but I'd rather them charge $2.50 or even $3 and give me refills. read more

We went there to see their Sinatra singer Jim Slagle and we were amazed by the delicious food and the great service. The chopped salad was truly noteworthy. The seafood was excellent and the free bread was something to write home about. Italian food served in a quaint rustic atmosphere with Sinatra singing in the background... super fun. The bar scene was also noteworthy. Interesting and friendly people ordering up fun cocktails and lots of polite and friendly banter. This little gem is not to far from where I live and I found out 2 weeks ago that they are still open for take out...I've ordered from them 4 times since then and the food has been awesome each time!!!!! Everything came out to the table in order and at a good pace, it felt like I had time to finish the appetizer before my salad and entree arrived which was nice. Best thing was the bread on this trip to this establishment. I fully understand that its a crazy time of year for lunches with the holiday right about the corner. BUT you should compensate for that; both the front and the back of the house were under staffed. I was with a party of 11 and we had 2 courses appetizers and main both courses came out in pieces. Both times people were finishing up before some others even got their plates. A person in my group asked for fries as an app and she didn't get them till about 8-10 minutes after everyone else got their dishes. How hard is it to make fries. The main course was the worst as the "family style" sides didn't come out till 10 minutes after we were plated. Also I was suppose to get mashed potatoes and apparently they ran out and replaced them with roasted without me even told about it. It was assumed that I would want roasted. This whole experience took close to 3 hours of my life that I will never get back. They did give us 2 sample plates of desserts to make up for the time delay but truly it wasn't enough to save this trip. The server did apologize and said they are suppose to get new management in the near future. I guess one will have to wait and see, but I can you it will be awhile till I return. read more

I love this place. The food is out of this world and the portions are on point! I had the chicken Marsala and my date had the NY Strip Special and oh man we were having foodgasms galore. The only issue last night was that they messed up his order then forgot to get his second glass of wine but it was busy and our waitress was nice. The guy that I think is the host was awesome and checked in in between our waitress to see if we wanted another drink/refills on water. This place is a must, you won't be disappointed by the food. We went to this restaurant for Valentine's Day dinner and we were extremely disappointed. The restaurant did not appear to be crowded yet our waiter did not stop by the table, fill waters, or introduce himself for 15 minutes. After we received our entrees the chicken had little to no texture and the eggplant tasted like it was freezer burned. To top the whole night, the waiter asked if we needed boxes to go, then proceeded to drop the boxes and the check on the table. He never offered us dessert or even bothered to mention it. We were both really excited to try this restaurant but we will not be returning. It was definitely a Valentine's Day dinner we will remember, but not in a good way. read more

Went to Revere years ago but wanted to try again as i recalled it being decent. We arrived on time, place was crowded, good sign, with an "older"" crowd & were sat immediately. Bread came out & then nothing. No bread plates, no wine list, we did have menus though & quite slow service. I am never in a rush but something was off. Finally put order in sat back & enjoyed our conversation over a bottle of wine. They do have wine but it is extremely limited, not what i was expecting for a nicer restaurant. Waitress was very nice but delivery of food from the kitchen is not proficient. Appetizer came, calamari, & was drenched in a sweet sauce that was excessively sweet, strike one....ate some, smiled & moved on. Salads came, swimming in salad dressing, really, what is going on, are someone's taste buds shot? I couldn't even taste the salad. I enjoy Italian food but this is not enjoyable at this point, i just wanted a nice relaxing dinner. Main course came chicken rolantina) & i must say was quite good but by then we had been nibbling/drinking for close to 2 hrs that i was getting full. Finished with cappuccino & chalked this up to a "not sure i will venture back again" moment. Was it an off night, not sure but very disappointed with the experience. read more

We have been coming to this restaurant for years. The food is consistently great and the service awesome. The downside is that on Friday nights they have the worst accordion player on the planet. We went here Saturday night. There were four of us. We did the special porterhouse steak for the guys. It was very good. But very expensive. $80. The ladies got the veal piccata and gnocchi. The server was extremely friendly. We had reservations but they weren't available until 30 minutes after we got there. We went to the bar and had a couple drinks first. Overall the ambience was good food was little better than OK. It was really expensive. The garlic bread was very good. The garlic bread was very good. Enjoyed a fabulous meal Sunday night coming home from the shore. The bar was busy, but only one other table was occupied . I knew a friend of ours loved it here, so I was anxious to try it. The appetizer we chose as a special, was grilled peaches topped with lump crab, sauced on the side with a horseradish cream and a drizzle of aged balsamic. Also a heavy garnish of frizzled potato strings. It was creative, beautiful, and as delicious as it sounds! This is one of the best things I've EVER eaten. My entree- also a special, was soft shell crab and shrimp, with a lemon reduction, and capers, over mashed potatoes and topped with spinach. Also creative,and pretty, but I think rice would have worked better. My husband ordered Chicken Marsala. I thought it was peppery, although absolutely delicious. The Caesar salad was very garlicky and excellent. The place is well appointed with white tablecloths, nice music, and good service. It's casual enough to wear shorts, but this meal deserves serious respect that you can dress up and enjoy a great evening! read more

I can barely type this because my belly is still hurt (in a good way) and my left hand just wants to rub my food baby. I visited Revere's for lunch. Weekday lunch crowd was mostly worker bees and half of the restaurant was occupied by a large party. The bar area was full (liquid lunch, anyone?) and seemd nice. The decor is homey albeit a bit dark. Service is on point. There were two servers and they were getting the job done making sure all their tables' needs were met. Lunch menu has quite a few great choices other than the traditional Italian fare. Wine list looked impressive as well. We had to request the garlic bread as we were given some plain Italian bread (which was fresh). Garlic bread from Revere's is a MUST. Absolutely yummy and worth the low-carbing I will have to do for the rest of the month. The calamari with dusted bacon was delicious and this from someone who doesn't partake in swine much. You could taste the bacon faintly but the sauce and fresh calamari was what made the dish. The meatball and polenta was served piping hot and it was huge. I eat ALOT and yet took home half of it. Meatballs were hearty and flavorful. I will definitely come back for dinner. I am still in disbelief that it took me this long to visit. read more

I think I've been there 3 times in the last year and half. My in-laws seem to like it a lot. As for me, not so much. I think the first time I went I had veal parm which was good, but nothing to write home about. The next two times the meals were just plain boring. Not a lot of flavor at all. My bro-in-law had a steak which was a good size but came out lukewarm. He sent it back and they did manage to warm it without overcooking it, so give them credit for that. The atmosphere is good. Even with the bar and TVs there isn't a lot of noise. The service has been hit or miss. The second time we went the waitress was awful. Maybe she was having a bad night, but she was dismissive, rarely checked in on us and didn't seem to care that people on the other side of the table couldn't hear her when she spoke. Very disappointing. My in-laws like it, so I guess I can't beat up the place too much, but I wouldn't go back on my own or take anyone there. read more

After driving past Revere's for a number of months, we finally decided to come in and try it., and we were happy that we did. Since I read some of the reviews here before going, I followed everyone's advice and ordered bacon-dusted calamari appetizer. We both loved it. The flavor was surprising: my girlfriend commented that the sauce was somewhat Asian style, slightly resembling the Chinese duck sauce, but it fit so well with the seasoning and the breading of the calamari. The bacon flavoring gave it an extra touch of complexity. The calamari were cooked just right -- not overcooked and therefore not rubbery. For the main meal, we went with Alla Vodka pasta (rigatoni pasta with vodka sauce) and Veal Caprese. We absolutely loved the sauce on Alla Vodka pasta -- it was so rich and creamy, with large chunks of tomatoes among the pasta, along with fresh herbs and seasonings. Pasta was cooked just right - al dente, but not undercooked either. Veal Caprese was very good as well -- the veal was very juicy, not chewy, and the sauce somewhat resembled marsala. I enjoyed both meals, but if I had to pick, I would go with Alla Vodka pasta for the exploding flavor of its sauce. We got a house salad with each of the main courses. It wasn't anything special, but it was fresh and dressed with balsamic vinaigrette, and the side of fresh parmesan cheese was definitely a nice touch. The toasted bread that the restaurant serves in the beginning is something to write home about -- artisonal bread toasted to crisp perfection and seasoned with garlic and parmesan cheese and drizzled with olive oil. We were there on a Saturday night, so the place was packed. Service was good and professional, but if you are extremely hungry or in a hurry, take note that it takes a while until your meals come out! We didn't mind because it was a special evening for us, but I think it was a good 40 minutes after we got out appetizer until our main courses came out. Again, not a problem with us, but it's something you may want to take into account. All in all, we had a great time, and we were so full that we had to get half of the food to go, which made a nice lunch the next day! If you like Italian cousine, we definitely recommend you give Revere's a try. read more
