Escarole and beans!

We keep coming back because the escarole and beans is fantastic! We even get it to go! Well this time I actually tried something different... the liver with bacon... I LOVED IT! Just like my mother made! Cooked to perfection... and had the peanut butter dessert that went well with coffee. The servers are all so nice... Terry and Shannon always make us feel at home. The busy vibe proves how good this place is!

Was here for a work lunch with my coworkers. We ordered a bunch of sides including bang bang shrimp, calamari Fritto, mozzarella e la vodka, and caprese salad. The bang bang shrimp was very good. Shrimp tasted fresh, had a nice crunch, and the sauce of sweet and savory/spicy worked well. Calamari fritto was perfectly breaded and fried. The breading was light and airy, with a very meaty calamari. The sauce which consisted of a cooked down sweet and spicy cherry peppers was a great complimentary to the fried calamari. I ordered the Frutti di Mari for the entree. The seafood was plenty. Mussels, clams, shrimp and calamari in the entree was very fresh. They did not skimp out on the amount of seafood. The red sauce had the right balance. It came with linguini, which I always prefer with my seafood red sauce pasta dishes. For the dessert, I got the peanut butter explosion. It was a very rich mousse like texture, which I enjoyed with a small cup of hot coffee. The peanut butter and chocolate flavor of the dessert was a good combination, and did not overpower each other. Food and the overall experience was excellent. I'd come back here!

L-Vodka Rigatoni

I came here for dinner after a work event and experienced their three-course fixed menu. The meal started with a salad, followed by vodka rigatoni, and a choice of salmon or chicken, all served with a side of garlic bread. While I didn't try the entrées, I did have the salad and vodka rigatoni (without prosciutto). The flavors were good but didn't particularly stand out. The service was friendly and accommodating to our group's needs, which I really appreciated. We were seated in a private area, so I didn't get the full feel of the restaurant's ambience, but the decor was clean and well put together. Overall, it was a pleasant dining experience, though nothing especially memorable from a flavor perspective at least for the vegetarian options I tried.

Appetizer Antipasti di Mari in fra Diavlo

Lovely menu, attentive staff. Lots of interesting menu items, need to come super hungry. I'm our case, was an early dinner and my honey wasn't interested in sharing which meant we go on our own. (Note, I don't eat pasta, that limits options.) We got creative and it worked out. My honey had the penne bolognese with a starter house salad. She loved the flavor of her dish and brought home leftovers. I ended up making the appetizer antipasti di Mari my dinner with a swap of sauce from the menu white wine to the fra diavlo and it had a nice e . There's enough seafood in this appetizer to make a meal from. For the most part a good experience. Just note it's very pricey $$$$$

Rigatoni Vodka no,prosciutto, add shrimp

We sat at a high top table at bar! Great move. Mike the bartender was our server and provided great suggestions. We had the PEI muscles with pomodoro, OMGOODNESS!!! DELICIOUS!!! The bread was sooooo good dipped into the sauce. We had to ask for more bread just to finish off the sauce. The Mr. had the special - - rib-eye steak (Not cheap but well worth it!) says it was the best steak he's had at a restaurant in years! It came with asparagus & baked potato. The asparagus was delicious, the potato was just ok. I had Rigatoni Vodka without prosciutto and added shrimp! Also delicious. Both entrees came with salad, although there was an up charge for the Caesar salad. The salads were a decent portion and the entree portions were substantial. Best of all was "Sal" the accordion player!!! He was great and a very nice man! I tipped him and we got serenaded the rest of the evening!! lol love it!!! We look forward to a return visit if we find ourselves back in Ewing NJ.

Carbonara and Boom Boom Chicken

We love Revere! We come here often for its consistent and delicious food. The boom boom chicken and cherry pepper calamari are a must!

Linguini Carbonara

The carbonara was pretty good. 7.5/10. But the French onion soup was so disappointing the onions tasted unripe and hard, not yummy and sautéed. The garlic bread was interesting. Not my thing but I can see why other people like it.

We were seated in the dining room to the left. I believe there was another one on the right, when you come in. Our waiter was wonderful! Very friendly and funny! The food was great! The space is very minimalist with nothing but 2 photos (?) on the walls. As the night progressed the noise level increased but not overwhelming so. I was concerned about the size of the menu with there being around 28 various entrees. In the past I've learned that less is usually best making it easier for the kitchen to perfect their dishes. This total did not include the 2(?) Special entrees. I chose the special Risotto Carbonara with guanciale, cream, mushrooms and cheese and was disappointed. The risotto was overcooked with the usual risotto "bite" missing. There was little seasoning in the dish and not much in the way of quantity of guanciale. In comparison, the Osso Bucco was very good with a rich gravy and side of mashed potatoes. I'm not sure if I'd return. BYO.

The vibe is old school and cozy and was beautifully decorated for the season. We started at the bar with vodka martinis that were made perfectly by the friendly bartenders and generously filled as well. We asked if we could move to a table for dinner and they accommodated us immediately telling us to take our time at the bar and showed us the table they reserved for us when we were ready to sit. Once we sat down our server, Tony, came over immediately and introduced himself. He told us about the restaurant and also about the nightly specials. We decided on the clams casino appetizer. While we were waiting he brought us fresh baked Italian bread and homemade butter. It was delicious and when we were down to the last piece a new loaf was put down without even asking. The clams and lemon wine butter sauce were delicious. Salads came soon after in a light vinegarette with fresh sliced cheese. The entrees we ordered were the Roebling Veal Chop milanese style and the seafood pasta. Both were delicious and the chop was giant! For desert we shared "A little of everything" which consisted of a tartufo, a tiramiso, and a canoli. They gave us 2 complementary limoncellos to have with desert. The owner stopped by to see how everything was and kicked up a conversation about the restaurant and how it owned it for 39 years. It started in Chambersburg, a once vibrant little Italy in Trenton that no longer exists. Throughout the night we were treated like VIPs and truly like family. This date night at Marsilio's kitchen was more than a meal. It was a dining experience and we will certainly be back soon.

Maybe you remember Sal's from back in the day when dining Italian style home cookin Nonna was the…read morething and if you go to Sal's today, it's still the thing. My daughter was at their Super Bowl party last night and it was something to remember. Crab boil on paper. New Orleans style. Lots of irresistible food and a big screen TV. Who knew that one of the best Super Bowl parties would be at Sal's ?! Well, now you know and that's not just the Super Bowl party.....any night or day you can depend on an amazing menu. I have always been known for making Greco's Clams Casino ....very specific about how they did it and I do it exactly that way and people go absolutely mad. 90% of restaurants that offer claims Casino don't know what Clams Casino is. And my daughter told me that their Clams Casino is as good as mine Whaaaat?! ...they make old time roasted dirty chicken, and if you're reading this and you know what that is, (you serve it with some bread which becomes dirty bread) and just mop it all up..... The family will be there to delight you with memories of delicious dining in the 'Burg'..... Sal's is in the Marrazzo's Market shopping center tucked in off to the side right next to the popcorn people and across from Rita's They have a lovely wine bar and you can bring your own anything .... And who knew you could go there and hang out .....have a glass of wine and a little appetizer and watch your favorite game on the TV..?!!! and speaking of sports TV while I'm dining I really am a girly girl when it comes to that but I know the rest of the world loves it ...What I liked is that I didn't have to dine with the TV right in my face like a lot of other places .....it was there and people can watch it, but you can just forget it's there .. it's not obvious at all .... Which makes the dining experience perfect for everyone...and that's the way it should be done.... The prices are a little higher than some Italian restaurants, BUT, that's because all the ingredients are absolutely as fresh as you can get them and by the way, fresh ingredients make all the difference in flavor and presentation. There is actually someone in the kitchen who is preparing your meal uniquely and perfectly just for you No corporate predictability here. Not like most Italian restaurants where you actually don't need the menu cause you know what they're gonna serve. I am really fussy about my corporate run restaurants some of them are obviously OK but some of them are just so boring. It's ridiculous. Here's what you really have to do ....go over there and have a great meal and then go back and then go back ..... It has definitely become one of Ewing's amazing collection of a "little hole in the wall" type restaurant. The dining area is L shaped and off to the back is a lovely fireplace, very romantic, and the whole dining area is open and designed beautifully ....so when you step inside the door, you will definitely know that this is a place you can take your mom or you can take your date or you can just go and watch a football game and eat some good wings We certainly love those tucked-away places the best !!!..... and if you're not familiar with that way of picking your dining experience, visit this family style Italian restaurant and you'll know what I'm talking about..! Hurry up.....
