I visited Friday, October 28 2016. I am a 31 year old woman with some tattoos and have had a few piercings. I saw the pictures from Ashton's piercing section on their website and chose her to pierce my nipples. I had done research and was very nervous about the pain. Ashton calmed me down and I kid you not, it felt like a quick deep pinch on the left and just some momentary pressure on the right. I actually thought that the needle piercing through was a clamp being put on. She wasn't using a clamp. I was amazed. I didn't even feel sore until I cleaned them later. There was no blood and no trama. I would say I have an average pain threshold and I know everyone is different, but if you want it done right and with the least pain go see Ashton! the only redeeming quality of this place for piercings is the cheap pricing. i have been here on three separate occasions, 2 of which were dissatisfactory. during the one and only good time there, my best friend spontaneously decided to get her nose pierced pretty close to closing. we were afraid to feel like a burden so close to closing, but we were welcomed with open arms and a warm smile by a young lady with short black hair (i want to remember her name, but for the life of me i cant rn). she happily did the job and reassured my friend tons because she was a little nervous for the piercing. afterward, she gave perfect and clear aftercare instructions and answered our questions happily. she was very friendly and easy to talk to and i wish she had been there for my other two experiences. my first bad experience was when i came in to maybe find new jewelry for my septum. i was greeted by an unexcited face and a condescending attitude. i want to say her name was ashton but i am unsure (she was taller than the nicer lady and had dark reddish brown hair) she made me feel almost guilty for even asking her a simple question by the way she answered the question as you're an actual idiot. i brushed it off and chalked it up to that she must've been having a bad day. well if that was the case then every day must be a bad day for this lady. my friends and i came in to get piercings yesterday in hopes that we'd get the same piercer that pierced my friend's nose. instead, we were met by this lady's unfriendly face and demeanor. she practically ignored my friend's anxieties about getting her piercing and failed to even attempt to calm her nerves. she acted annoyed that we were there in the first place. what made me angry the most is that she failed to give any of us (she pierced three of us) ANY aftercare instructions!!! luckily i have a good amount of piercings and experience that i was able to give my other two friends the cleaning advice they needed. soooo unprofessional to not even give a lick of aftercare instructions, i dont care if people already have piercings, it cannot be assumed that people know how to care for their piercings (and not to mention we signed off BEFORE the piercings that she would go over aftercare with us...) so if youre looking to get a piercing, steer clear from this place just because of the chance you might get this woman as your piercer. i regret tipping her, as she does not deserve a single dollar with how she treats her clientele. read more

So today I accompanied my little sister and her two friends while getting their noses pierced. Being that my sister is only 18 I like to be present during all of her endeavors, From her first tattoo to her first piercing. I, myself, have several piercings, a half sleeve and 11 other tattoos. I like to think she got her love of body art from me. However, I was very unsatisfied with the attitude of the woman who did the piercing. (Ashton) Being that all 4 of us are in fields of employment where excellent customer service skills are mandatory, we know how customers are supposed to be treated. Granted, I know what they must think seeing a group of teenage girls walk in their place of employment without an "adult" present. I still would expect to be treated with the same hospitality as everyone else. She did not do anything to make my sister feel comfortable or welcome. The facial expressions made by her were totally uncalled for. It was just really disheartening to see the manner in which she went about servicing them. I just wish we would have been treated with a little basic hospitality. Don't judge a book by its cover, we would have tipped generously. The only reason I can imagine we were treated like that is because she assumed otherwise. It's a shame but don't worry next time we will take our business elsewhere. read more

Too bad Mark lets his wife look what tattoos you wanting the lobby in front of everyone and can telepathically know what he's going to be able to do. He won't even speak to you first. What happened to talking to the artist? When did a receptionist become more qualified then the artist? Some people are addicted to tattoos, some addicted to piercings and some addicted to both! This is by far the best place for both. Ashton has done My tragus, nipples and tongue. She is very professional, explains the process start to finish and put Me at ease. I initially came to Her after getting My belly button pierced at another tattoo shop....in the mail, because after paying good money, the piercing migrated and I basically rejected it. Haven't redone it yet, but Ashton was able to look at the site and know the previous piercer had placed it too shallow. I will continue to do business with Resurrection Ink and encourage others to do so. read more

I got my first tattoo here and I couldn't be more pleased with it. I was a bit worried about the design of the picture I brought in. My artist made the design ever better when I asked him to make the picture look more meaner and he definitely did just that. The artist made my first tattoo a great experience and I'll defiantly will be coming back for more. read more

The piercer had a horrible attitude from the minute I walked in. I am not a newbie with piercings, but yet she probably saw me as an idiot who has no knowledge of them. (I had my industrial done and I have another cartilage piercing as well as my ear lobes.) She gave me very little aftercare information and told me just to clean my piercing with antibacterial soap and water, never told me how long it would take for it to heal, etc. She also failed to tell me I have to tell her about gratuity AHEAD of time. I thought it would just be an option on my receipt but no. So she got no gratuity (even if it was an option she wouldn't of gotten it anyway due to her horrible attitude.) I immediately went to another shop to get sea salt spray and I told the nice lady at the other salon about my experience and needless to say she has heard bad things about this piercer as well. I will not be back for anything else, including tattoos, and that is only because of that piercer. Please avoid this place for piercings. read more

From the very beginning I told my artist that I wanted my tattoo of an animal to look as real as possible. Like a photograph. I was willing to pay however much it would cost, I just wanted it to look good.. he tried making excuses right off the bat saying that I wasn't "giving him enough space" when I gave him my entire upper arm, and I've seen the same tattoo done on a hand with much smaller space. But he told me he'd make it work, so I trusted him. I was not happy with the work the artist did at all. Thr animsl doesnt even remotely look real, it loks like a cartoon which is exactly what I told him from the start that I didn't want. I went home and cried a few times. I even looked into tattoo laser removal the day after I got it done! That tells you how much I hated it. Now several months later I've learned to deal with it but I still don't love it. And if you have something tattooed on your body for life you SHOULD love it! Anyways though, I would not recommend any of my friends to come here. read more

If it were possible to give a 0, I would. Unfortunately though, I'm forced to give them a 1. As far as quality of their tattoos, I can't say from experience (though their books were filled with what looked like crappy crayon drawings. One of the artists can't even make straight lines for guitar strings), because we decided not to stick around to find out after the way they treated us and what they said behind our backs when they THOUGHT we weren't within earshot. Girl at the front desk was a total bitch (I believe her name is Mareva, who incidentally has the worst portfolio), and we could hear her saying she wanted to slap my friend for taking so long to get what she wanted. Fact is, my friend knew EXACTLY what she wanted when we walked in, but the girl at the desk told her the font was ugly, that it was too small, and that it wouldn't fit where my friend wanted it, all in a rude manner while trying to change everything about it. And even if it WAS taking a while to decide, A) It was her fault for trying to talk my friend out of everything she wanted in HER tattoo, and B) It's a tattoo. It's permanent, so of course she wants to make sure she's getting what she wants so it doesn't get screwed up and she's stuck with a piece of shit on her body. Eventually, we had enough of their bullshit and went to Avail, where they not only were able to do her tattoo EXACTLY how she had originally wanted it, but did it for $30 less, and were really cool people. Bottom line, Resurrection is a waste of your time and money. If you want a good tattoo from a person that is respectful and talks to you like an equal instead of a child, head to Avail just around the corner on White Bluff. Glad I didn't leave my skin in their mediocre hands. I went in to consult an idea I've had for several years, a memorial piece for my son. I spoke with ward I believe his name was who was a hothead from the get go. He seemed to have no interest in accommodating what I wanted on MY body. He was quick to shoot my idea down insisting on changing the subject matter completely. I was very insulted by his quick temper and rudeness. When I didn't settle for his simplistic, mediocre idea he told me that f I didn't like it I could "go the f**k somewhere else" I'm no genius but I'm pretty sure in any service business this is not a way to speak to someone interested in spending money. His attitude sucked and greatly offended me. Needless to say, I will not be back and don't intend on spreading good word about this shop. There are many other shops in Savannah with actual artists who are willing to accommodate clients. His attitude and agitation seemed to be relating to drugs or lack of. Either way I will not be back. Tattoo industry or not , customers need to be respected and there seems to be none at this shop. Very disappointing, don't waste your time here guys. read more
