This is the best place I've ever been for piercings. The staff is super knowledgeable and professional and they clean and sanitize rooms and utensils before and they analyze your anatomy before piercing to make sure it's right for you and they explain everything start to finish and the staff is super cool as well. Inside is nice and the prices are fair. 10/10 read more

I have gotten a nose piercing here several years ago and the woman I worked with was very friendly, fair and detailed. I loved how experienced she was and the quality of the jewelry and how sanitary the shop was. This drew me back recently when I needed some changes to a piercing. The place was still very clean, sanitary and they offer great quality jewelry. Unfortunately, the women working weren't as friendly and personable this time. One of the women were very personable and friendly with a child that was getting pierced, but not as much with the adult clients. I even noticed some not so great comments being made about a potential customer that had called in with questions. It just seems like the customer service aspect could use some improvements. The quality of the jewelry and cleanliness of the shop does remain really good. read more

First off, MASON is PHENOMENAL!!! He's professional, personable, hilarious and very thorough. He made sure sterilization and cleanliness was first priority. He asked me numerous times if I had questions/concerns and made me feel at ease. The MOST amazing part - he is super skilled and was able to piece both holes in my cartilage at the SAME TIME! Yes, one ouch and done. Man that was amazing and so unexpected! Mason, you're exceptional. I'm LITFA and I have to admit I have minimal soreness today. I highly recommend Planet 3 Piercings - you'll be very happy with the results. read more

Great experience at Planet 3! Harley is great! I got my nose pierced and Harley explained the sanitation and healing process. When I accidentally pulled the piercing out, it was easy to come in and have it replaced (for a fee of course ). Shop is clean and staff is friendly and helpful! Definitely recommend!! read more

I had a great experience at Planet 3 Piercing! I went in without an appointment on a Friday afternoon to get my daith piercing. The shop was clean and the staff was very professional. I filled out some paperwork, and I only had to wait a few minutes before being taken back for my piercing. I was suuuuper nervous, but Mason made me feel more at ease. He explained the whole procedure in detail before we started, and the piercing chair was reclined and comfortable. Not going to lie- it hurt like hell! But I'm a big baby. I was very pleased with the service I received at Planet 3, and I can't wait to go back to pick out some more jewelry once I'm all healed. Highly recommend! read more

I have had 8 piercings done at planet 3. EIGHT!!!! I keep coming back for a reason. The piercers know what they are talking about and I trust them to pierce any part of my body. Jules, Danie and Mason have all been part of my adornment. All have been honest with their opinions and have said "no" to some piercings I had been interested in. I respect their ability to give intentional advice and service while respecting my body over my wants. They are the experts. Knowing that before you go in is essential to your experience. Each employee including front desk deserves your respect. Being with someone through pain is incredibly difficult and can be easily absorbed. I always leave completely satisfied with each second I have spent in the shop. Bring cash. Tip well. Be patient. The staff wants what is best for you and that might not align with your body's dimensions. read more

I had just had an amazing experience here! I cannot show pictures cause that would be inappropriate . The piercer Mason was extremely knowledgeable and was familiar with Kalamazoo! The consultation was quick and he walked me through the process of what was happening and why. He assured the experience was comfortable and was very open to questions. The options were nice and then he even told me where I can get better options in Kalamazoo. The environment was very sterile and professional. read more

LOVE THIS PLACE! I was traveling and wanted to get my nose pierced, and found this place! The atmosphere is pretty cool, they have lots of options jewelry wise. I had my piercing done by mason, he was FANTASTIC! Very clean, changed his gloves multiple times throughout the piercing process. Was very thorough, made sure I knew what was happening and asked for my permission all throughout the appointment. By far my best piercing experience so far! If you're looking to get a piercing, this is definitely your place! read more

The front desk staff a friendly and courteous and got me set up to see Mason pretty quick. They were thorough and had me and my forms and such ready to go quickly. The business end of the operation seemed pretty efficient and with electronic record keeping will have no problem finding me and my specifics out in the future. Mason was fantastic. For having simple needs and not too familiar with piercing he was friendly and energetic and wanting to make sure I had any and all my questions answered. When I was an idiot and placed my hand on an area he already sterilized, he simply re-sterilized it without a fuss and didn't seem put out (as it happened twice because i am a moron). Mason discussed options and details that I hadn't considered and shared some of his experiences with me to help with my decisions. My piercing has been healthier than other ones I have had for longer and after the initial 'pinch', it hasn't been sore at all. I would definitely recommend Planet 3 Studios for any of your piercing needs. read more

I went to Planet 3 Studios to get a slightly-impulsive lip piercing (side labret). This is probably the best piercing experience I've ever had. Both employees I interacted with were incredibly friendly and helpful. Mason (the piercer) was so nice! He was very friendly and helpful and answered all of the questions I had. I went in to get one piercing on the right side and I brought up that I might want to get the other side done in the future; to make sure that I would still like the piercing placement if I end up getting the other side done, he marked them both out at equal distances to show me what it would look like to make sure that the placement of the current piercing will still look good if I want to pierce the other side. When I told him that I was afraid of needles, he was very understanding and helped me calm down a bit; but I was still kind of freaked out, and admitted to him that I was nervous because I had never gotten a piercing without someone present before. He then offered--in a very non-judgemental way--to bring in someone to sit next to me; I agreed, and the person from the front desk (who's name I didn't catch, sorry!) came in for a moment and held my hand. The piercing itself was quick and virtually painless, it hurt less than a flu shot. Most of the pain is just soreness, but that's mostly faded now (~6 hours later) and it's mostly overridden by getting used to feeling a piece of metal in my mouth. The facility was also very clean, and they had their health inspection noticed posted which made me feel even better about the cleanliness. The piercing room is a small, private room away from the front, which I appreciated (last piercing place I went to in Washington state had the piercing area open to the front). Overall: if you want a piercing, GO HERE! They'll do a great job and make sure you're comfortable every step of the way. read more

I was really excited to get my nipples pierced but the shop didn't have my size. I came with an appointment and was ready. I feel bad for the piercers as it was vaguely insinuated that they haven't had the right jewelry and had to turn away many people who scheduled these appointments. I can't even rate this shop properly because I haven't had the experience due to the lack of stock in jewelry. It sucks so much because I've heard and read many great reviews on this shop :( read more

I've been coming here for piercings and jewelry for several years and it's always been a pleasant experience. Super clean and professional facility. They are fantastic at customer service! I recently took my mom to get a new jewelry piece for her birthday and Harley (at the desk) was super helpful, kind, and patient with us in figuring out what pieces and sizes would be best. 10/10 would recommend! read more

Let me start by saying I have been to Planet 3 , three times now. The first two times were a pleasant Experience. Mason did an initial nose Piercing and it was the best experience I could Hope for. Months later, I went back in after saving up and purchasing a 14k diamond nose ring that I had been wanting for a while. I made an appointment and Mason made the jewelry change and it was another great experience. Today I had an accident and accidentally pulled out the nose ring and made an appointment a few Hours later to have them once again put it Back in. I arrived early per their request , and told the girl at the desk what happened. She called over the girl working ( never got her name) and she was the rudest person I have ever met. Her first words To me after looking over my Shoulder at the nose ring was "I can't put that in!" When asked why, she proceeded to Tell me the jewelry was not up to her standards and should not be put in anyones piercing. When I looked stunned at her response and told Her I didn't understand because the other piercer never said a word and had just done it two weeks ago, she proceeded to talk ugly about him and that he shouldn't have and she wasn't going to. The whole thing was super embarrassing and left Me feeling very upset. When the girl Behind the counter attempted to smooth things over because of her rudeness, I said no thank you and that I would not be back. She totally ruined the experience because of her terrible Customer service. Had she been kind and Said that she was sorry she couldn't use it and that she could show Me some other options etc maybe I would Have been inclined to understand. She was abrupt and condescending and I will Never be back. read more

So I went here to get a longer bar for a new line piercing. The place was great and clean but it took forever. I made an appointment for 5:00 but I didn't even get to talk to the person I had an appointment with until 5:45. It wasn't too busy so I was slightly confused about what took so long when they are appointment only. read more

Finally got some time to write this. Let me start by saying that this place is outta this world amazing! From walking through the door, to the professionalism and accuracy of my paper work. Then comes the piercing, Mason did my "smiley" piercing, he made the comfort level so amazing. Talked me through the whole process seamless, I was a little scared but it went by so quickly and the cleanliness a even more amazing!!!! You could practically eat from the floor ! Awesome! Horrible experience. Very rude and not helpful. Would never suggest or recommend this place.

I was so nervous when I came here. They actually poppp my cherry, not the one you were thinking about, buuut my first piercing ever. No i dont have any tattoos or wild crazy piercing. I guess my body is bland and needs a tan. However, I wanted to experience something eccentric, wild, and fun in my life. So, I came here conquering my fears of piercing. The staffs were calm, collective, spiritual, they gave me some useful insight about piercing beforehand. I was still nervous so nervous, in my mind, I thought this is going to hurt like crazy. However, when the lady pierce my belly button, i didn't feel a thing. I even asked her, did you pierced it in yet?? It was all over in 3 seconds. read more

Service is absolutely HORRIBLE. I have had one piercing here before and it was a few years ago. Piercer was a smug jerk who bad mouthed other establishments and told me how didn't like my body jewelry. I thought that the piercer was just one jerk and it wouldn't stop me from coming back. Came here today and was treated like pond scum. I removed one of my plugs and asked them if they could tell me what size it was. The person behind the counter abruptly says, "oh! Put that back in your ear!" And then with a disgusting look on her face pushes hand sanitizer towards me and says, "Sanitize your hands." My piercings are clean...no gunk. No funk. Her reaction was over the top to say the least. Then she says she is going to get some "paperwork" for me to fill out. I was like, "Just so you can tell me what size I am?" Her, "yeah." I then left...My husband and myself were planning on purchasing several items. But not after today! I have never felt disgusting before today. And this rude person really helped with that. I'm never coming back here again. read more

Incredible service! It was great talking to Mason and he was super helpful with everything.

So let's start this journey with some background. I first pierced my nose I was 19. The piercing fell out while I was sleep! I got it re-pierced about ten years later and the same thing happened. When I arrived at Planet 3 Mason explained everything and made me feel comfortable about getting it done a 3rd time in my late 40's. The shop is totally clean, sterilized and welcoming. Mason understood my huge case of nerves and was patient through the whole piercing process. It was so good I got my ear done as well. Ask for Mason and enjoy the ride. read more

I've now gotten 2/6 piercings here and can't recommend them enough! Mason is super nice and funny and is great to calm you down if you're nervous. He's super knowledgeable and is great to talk to while you're getting your piercing. I got a helix piercing today and realized after leaving I wasn't super happy with the placement, so I called and they told me to come back in and we could get it sorted. Sure enough, when I got back they got me right in and repierced, and before he put the jewelry in he made certain that it was the angle I wanted. Super professional and fast! I can't imagine going anywhere else for a piercing! read more

Got my left eyebrow pierced (~$50) by Mason(?) at Planet Three. The staff were extremely nice, held polite conversation and gave me good tips on what piercings they thought I would look good with and how to take care of them. The place was clean and orderly, but didn't take long. Not sketchy like some shops are. The price was great along with the quality. They also had a huge selection of different jewelry and places they would pierce. I absolutely recommend them, whether it's your first time or you're already covered in piercings. read more

I got my nipples pierced here months ago, and I've been meaning to write this review ever since. I got pierced by Mason, and the experience was both bizarre and extremely uncomfortable. I went with two of my friends who sat in the room for support, and as he was prepping me for the piercing he said "now you can tell your parents that a strange man penetrated you and all your friends did was sit and watch." The comment was followed by an uncomfortable silence. Not only was it not funny in the slightest, but the comment is actually completely inappropriate on many different levels. First of all, I have never once in my life found a joke about sexual assault amusing. Second of all, I was half naked at this point in the appointment, and any kind of sexual comment in that setting is absolutely unprofessional (to say the least). I urge you to take this into consideration when booking an appointment here. read more

The women working was not very welcoming. I had my septum pierced here last night by Mason and I was very impressed. It's a cute, clean shop with a wide variety of jewelry in many different colors. I hadn't had anything done since my nostril years ago so I was a bit apprehensive but the piercer, Mason, was very knowledgeable and honest. He was blunt and answered any and all questions I had. He was also funny and talked me through everything and made me feel very comfortable. I was very impressed with their level of cleanliness. The piercing itself hardly hurt and he taught me how to flip it up for work as we had discussed that prior to the piercing. Overall a great experience and I'd highly recommend them! read more
