Schuyler was the artist I had chosen and he blew it right out of the water. My friend came to town to celebrate a huge milestone of mine and we finally decided to her matching tattoos. It was a little last minute, and a Saturday, but we called the shop and we're able to be squeezed in. Jen and Jordan did our tattoos and they are amazing. Super patient, caring, and attentive. Jen did mine, and I just want to say that having a female tattoo artist in the shop that's intentional about making sure our needs (as females) are met. My friend was a bit nervous about Asking sure she got what she wanted because of a bad experience at another tattoo shop, and Jen made sure that she was supported with amazing words of encouragement. Jordan was also super supportive with major she she got what she wanted, even with a last minute change in palace placement .25 seconds before the needs hit her skin! Came in with my sister as walk-ins and we were both able to find artists that fit our needs! I was the worst kind of client because I didn't know what I wanted to get or where, only that I was walking out with a tattoo that day. Talked to Luisa for about 10-15 minutes and ended up picking an unclaimed V-day flash from earlier that year (2023). Super precious, and it's one of a kind! Me and my nephew wanted to get a tattoo of the NYC skyline as a barcode. We researched tattoo shops around Savannah and decided on Tramp Art. It's a good thing we did. The atmosphere is great, awesome people and an amazing shop decked out with all sorts of cool decorations and knick-knacks. Chill vibe all around I love it. Each artist has a portfolio you can check out downstairs while you wait as well as being displayed on a TV. Very nice and helpful staff. Jordan did our tattoos and the line work is very good, solid work. It is what we asked for in that Jordan helped us out a bit on that. I normally don't leave reviews but I had such an amazing experience at Tramp Art Studios today. I have social anxiety and I'm a very awkward person in general but they were so nice and welcoming. I had Dre as my artist he did such an amazing job on the design I had chosen and he was so kind and really made sure I knew the aftercare steps which I appreciated. I LOVED everything about this place. I was skeptical at first but from the first phone call everything was great. I got my nostril and septum pierced, my friend got her belly button and my other friend got his mid cartilage pierced. The owner is the most bad ass woman who is also the one who did our piercings. To start, the tattoo artist I was assigned, passed me off to the apprentice tattooer. Secondly, he wouldn't ink my design where I wanted it (to the left of the trough on my right art, to the inside of the bicep). he said it would hurt. i said i know. i have a tattoo on the right side of the trough so this will even it out. so, im passed around the shop, the artist cant ink where i want, then we start the tattoos, (unfortunately i got two tattoos here at the same time). The artist yanked and twisted and pulled my skin harder than plastic surgeon giving joan crawford a facelift. needless to say he was aggressively rough and very heavy handed. he didnt have a needle small enough to do the binary tattoo so he asked if he could borrow one. no one in the shop had one that size either. so the binary code he inked on my wrist is thick, bleeding and uneven. as a way to make deduce my choice of tattoo, he asked if i wanted it "in green, so it's like the matrix code?" i glared and said, "black ink is fine." on my second tattoo, he decided to get 'artsy' and 'make it his own.' i thought it was my design that i did artsy self. If i wanted a collaboration i would have asked for his artistic input. i pulled out my phone and said since youre being artsy can you do color in like a water color brush? he said no, flatly and the tattoo was done. i got 2 small tattoos that LITERALLY took less than an hour from walking in the door to walking out and I was charged 300. im covered in ink and i know i was overcharged and especially for getting a shitty apprentice. Kirsten and Billy and the crew were simply the best. They were professional and kind and made the whole process smooth. We called the night before with 8 girls wanting tattoos the next day. We emailed art and they got to work! Even calling a few times to double check specifics. We arrived on a Sunday at open and they had an amazing environment and waiting area downstairs with the upstairs being where the action takes place. It was clean and comfortable and had cool things to look at! Even an Atari to play while waiting. They had three different artists divide and conquer. They met with each girl individually to make sure all details were thought out. While we were there 2 more girls decided on tats and they went right to work in the art no prob! 3 girls got their first tattoos and one girl even got her ears pierced ! So a total of 9 tats in four hours! (one backed out and even then they were so calm and cool about it. No probs) simply such a fun afternoon. I highly recommend stopping in to look at all the artist's portfolios. There's something for everyone! Outstanding professionalism and customer service with affordable prices.
