I got inspired to get a tattoo on the weekend and decided I would pop in to see if they could accommodate a walk-in a couple hours before closing time. I'd like walked by Ghost Town plenty of time while strolling around Savannah and on a whim decided to try the shop. As I walked in I was greeted warmly, and announced that I wanted to try and get a tattoo if they had availability. Gabriel immediately engaged and asked what I was looking to get done. I showed him the design I wanted and he said no problem. Throughout the session he was very friendly and engaging and we chatted while he worked. Super cool dude with a cool life story. I let him work and at the end of the session I was totally happy with the piece. The shop has a rad aesthetic and they were playing good music. Overall I had a great experience with Gabriel, and I really appreciated the friendly and accommodating service. It's exactly the kind of experience I want to have while getting a tattoo. Set a consult appointment for 2 PM today. Waiting to do the consult. Showed the artist what I wanted and said when she was available she would call, wasn't sure what time though. I was promptly dismissed after that. I was told I didn't have an appointment which when booking the consult was told if the artist could do the tattoo it would be done right after with an appointment. I asked if I needed to pay deposit when booking the consult and was advised no. I guess I didn't fit their narrative as someone who had tattoos. I guess this business can afford to dismiss paying customers. I've had a pretty good trip with friends until this rotten experience. I say make sure the same people who are booking your consult are in the store the day of your consult. It's unfortunate staff are not on the same page when it comes to what they tell people.I would recommend picking a different place. Not happy and pick a place that has definite appointment and tattoo artist available. read more

We walked in, nobody talked to us, dismissed us almost immediately and looked at us like we didn't belong there. I'm not a tattoo virgin and have several exposed tattoos, including an incredible 3/4 sleeve, and my husband has several, including a forearm tattoo that he got last Friday in our hometown. I decided to get a super tiny tattoo on my vacation to Savannah and landed on Ghost Town. I walked in to put my name on the walk in waiting list and got called back 2ish hours later. Let me give the positives of this place first. Ghost Town is super legit and clean. My tattoo artist knows what he was doing and did not disappoint on my tattoo. I didn't feel like I was at some skeezy tattoo joint either as you could tell these people cared. On the other side, the customer service/interaction was super dry between the one employee and artist I talked to. Definitely not a personable crowd which is sad because conversation goes a long way especially for an out of towner. Also a heads up to anyone coming in, if you're getting a super small tattoo they have a tattoo minimum of $80 which I had no idea about prior to getting mine on my body already. Could be my fault but I'm not too upset as the place was pretty good and results were great. read more

Well, we called the shop to ask if they were accepting walk ins, the shop said yes. Hours of operations - open until 8pm. we arrived at 645pm placed our name on the sheet, waited for 2 people ahead of us with very small tattos to be completed. By 7pm - both tattoo artists had completed their tattoos. They informed us that the artists were not looking to start something new tonight.....this was at 7pm!!!!! The shop CLOSES at 8pm!!!! I completely felt discriminated against because I didn't fit the tattoo "mold" of a client. I believe that this shop doesn't recognize that judging people based on their style / appearance is just bad buiness. SPEND your $$$$ elsewhere!! read more

I have been coming here for three years. I've been stationed in Cali and I'm originally from DC. I've gotten tattoos from both those places and many others to include North Carolina, South Carolina and Virginia. I have 13 tattoos and the majority were by artists at Ghost Town. When I say this place is amazing, I mean it. Each artist is incredible and brings their own talent to the table. Every time I come, I feel welcomed and comfortable. I can say without any reservation that I have never had a bad experience with any of the artists that have given me a tattoo. I recommend checking out their Instagram pages instead of yelp because most of the reviews on here are incredibly cynical and to be blunt, the artists there will treat you with respect if you treat them and their job with respect. read more

I'm very disappointed with this place, the artist's work looks so amazing but the blond woman working the front desk is very rude! I tried making a walk in appointment as soon as they opened and she was rude as soon as I walked in. Also, they didn't even call for a follow up when I asked them several times to let me know. Very unprofessional in my opinion and I would advise that you consider one of the many other great tattoo shops in the area! Came here for a bachelorette tattoo. They were judgey and made fun of us for our choice in tattoo. We came here because we heard it was the best in town and we're treated like we were dumb for what we wanted. This place is insanely expensive! What a rip off!! I went in there simply to have a nose piercing removed for surgery and she charge me $20! In addition to the fact that I bought a plug for $10 so the removal wasn't even free!! We were on town and I wanted to get a tattoo. I have a few already so I know the drill. When we walked up, four tattooers were outside. Not one spoke-no "hey. How ya doing." "Go on in. One of us will be right in to help you." So we went inside and a woman walked in and said the basic if you have questions let me know. There was no enthusiasm or anything. She didn't even smile. We sat there for several minutes while their one customer waited for her guy to set up (it wouldn't have taken him as long if he wasn't shi**ing around outside). During the time that we waited, every employee (about 5) walked in and out of the shop several times (and directly by us) and again not one even spoke. Talk about an unfriendly group and negative vibes. It was quite apparent they didn't give a flip if they made any money or gave us a tattoo. My money is good anywhere and needless to say, we got up and left. I did get my tattoo......elsewhere. read more

I got my FIRST tattoo done here in 2016. I showed Chase what I wanted on an internet pic and added a little to it. He said it was going to be no problem. He sketched it out on paper, showed me and put it on my wrist. The lines were thicker than I wanted, the piano keys weren't exactly even and 10 months later some of the ink didn't hold so it's very light and spacey. I wish my first tattoo experience had been better. I'll def research better next time. read more
