I injured myself and was away from my normal sports for 3 months while healing. I decided to give HYE a try again. Something to help build up a healthy lifestyle after sitting on a couch all Spring! I've been here 11 days out of the past 20 days and it's exactly as I remember it!!! Wonderful classes with top-notch instructors guiding you in their own authentic way, very nice humans who work the front desk, CLEAN, and perfect temperature. Yes, they have rules and helpful guidance on where to put your mat but their rules are similar to any other yoga studio or fitness establishment that offers reserved classes that I've been to! I know not to be late or not to cancel last-minute. Not because of HYE's rules but because that's the decent thing to do! HYE is a gem of Issaquah and we are lucky to have them!!

There's electric versus nitrogen and there's coming in through your feet, there's fans circulating up at various levels. Here we have nitrogen with the cold coming in from the feet with no fans getting it upward . You usually get a temperature check to see where you are before you go in and where you are when you come out to see how effective it was. I came specifically for upper body and I opted for the coldest. My lower extremities were 'freezing' at 43° while my upper extremities were like 60.. So obviously not effective. I would've had to crouch down at the floor level to try to have any kind of impact in a positive way to my upper body, but then I felt like I'd be at risk of touching the walls which could cause freezer burn. So unfortunately, their set up is not for me though they do offer other things that other people probably would love like the IV therapy, sauna, red light therapy, homeopathic natural doctor and staff is really friendly.

I think I'm pretty good at sensing where a person is coming from, and I felt like she was coming from a place of wanting money not actually caring about me. I felt judged and unimportant and most of all like I had wasted my $500. I had purchased her book and started reading it (definitely didn't bother to finish it ) and I heard the way she is addressing the reader like girlfriend, I can help you, look I fixed my own problem, like she's a woman and she understands and that's why she can help you. It's all about targeting a particular part of the market. Women with auto immune diseases and money well, you tricked me once Doc but you're not gonna trick me again. honestly if anyone's reading this and you're looking for care that actually works. I was concerned with how heavily it emphasised physical treatments, such as supplements, as I've come to understand that the real root cause of autoimmune disease, and many other psychosomatic complaints, is emotional trauma, unresolved emotional pain etc. And this was what I was coming to Keesha Ewers for. However I submitted the questionnaire, led to believe at the next stage I would speak with Dr Ewers. Instead it was a person named Audrey who was very pleasant but did not seem that familiar with the information I had included in the questionnaire and seemed intent on foisting a package, one-size-fits-all, extremely expensive DNA based model of treatment on me. I had to use all my assertiveness and intuition to steer the direction away from this and asked if I could, instead, book an appointment with Dr Ewers herself; I wanted HER input, not some employee who seemed not much more than (a very pleasant) secretary before I embarked on a costly course of (dubious) treatment. I then entered a period in which I periodically sent emails to further representatives of her, asking for an update. I was told Dr Ewers was 'on retreat'. I waited. Months went by. The last communication I received, on 15th September, was from another person who told me, I'm quoting: 'as you can imagine [Dr Ewers] has many many emails and things do fall through the cracks, it's not unusual to have to circle back around. I myself miss emails on occasion, it's just part of the electronic age we live and things do happen...Let me circle it back around to her specifically.' It's now 12th November. I think I don't need to say anymore. Would you want to deal with this organisation? I am concerned that it is actually nothing more than a money-making machine which is extremely concerning considering the image that Dr Ewers adopts online. I have read other reviews from disgusted clients detailing how they were persuaded to buy large packages of medications that were not tailor-made, ill-advised, and extremely expensive and that they rarely, if ever, could get in touch with the elusive 'Dr' Ewers. This aside, the MASSIVE failure in communication I encountered at the very first stage of dealing with this organisation was enough to forestall me. And thank god it did.
