I was in need of a routine cleaning and I couldn't let my benefits go to waste of course! But with most dentists booked weeks and months in advance, I was able to get penciled in for an appointment at Restoration Dental the following week! There's a saying that a picture is worth a thousand words, so part of the reason why I wanted to give this place a try was based on the ambience portrayed in the photos. The photos gave off luxurious and chic vibes, so I wanted my teeth to experience nothing but luxurious and chic vibes. But let's be real, the main reason why I wanted to give this place a try was because of the photo of the hot dentist. I thought he already looked good in his photo, but hubba bubba meeee oohhhh myyyyy, in person, Dr. Ronald Pham is one HELLUVA hunky guy! He had so much swagger in his jogger-fitted scrubs. He made wearing scrubs look so cool that it made me want to get some jogger-fitted scrubs for myself. This tall, handsome man was gentle with his hands and he regularly checked in with me to make sure I didn't experience any discomfort. Heck, the vibrato from his soothing voice was enough to calm my nerves. However, I felt so vulnerable being in such an unflattering position with my nostrils flaring and my mouth wide open with spit flying everywhere. Can you imagine having such a good looking guy so close to your face that he can see all of your blemishes? I had forgotten to pluck my mustache prior to my appointment! Well, technically I didn't forget. I just didn't anticipate how fast my hair would grow back, but I digress! Despite being insecure about the imperfections on my face, Dr. Pham was very professional and so focused on my teeth that I don't think he even noticed the mustache on my face. He kept flattering me with his compliments about my teeth looking great. He told me to keep doing whatever it was that I was doing. Although I must admit, sometimes I go to bed without brushing my teeth, so it might not actually be a good idea to keep doing whatever it is that I am doing. You know what IS a good idea though? Wearing your retainers. Now hear me out. Dr. Pham is charming and charismatic, so it doesn't come as a surprise that he is also a married man. In fact, his wife is also a dentist! A pediatric dentist to be exact! How do you compete with that?!?! Not that I'm trying to compete or anything, because if I may be real with y'all, the only thing straight about me are my teeth and I'd like to keep it that way. So as I was saying... You know what IS a good idea though? Wearing your retainers. Unfortunately, I've gone through several retainers because I'm an aggressive teeth grinder. Luckily, Dr. Pham's dental assistant, Frank, was able to get my teeth impressions that same day. Frank not only impressed my teeth, but he impressed me with the fact that he only needed one try to get a proper mold! I've been to different dental practices where I had to redo the impressions several times. I still have to wait for the retainers to arrive, so we'll see how Mr. Frank really did... jk that guy's got 20 years of experience so he's clearly an expert. Meanwhile as I was getting my teeth taken care of by Frank and Dr. Pham, the office manager, Karina, went above and beyond with helping my girlfriend find her insurance information. Apparently, Delta has insurances for different states and for some reason, my California-employed girlfriend had Delta-Tennessee insurance? Wild. But freal, Karina really went out of her way to help my girlfriend find the insurance information she needed to have her cleaning covered and to avoid paying out of pocket. I'm sure that detective work required some patience, so we were really grateful for that. Overall, the staff at Restorative Dental are kind, generous, and skilled of course.
