A smell of deep caramelization. We were fortunate to walk in as soon as a table left. All the other tables were occupied and many customers were sadly turned away. We opted for the classics: beef goulash and veal schnitzel. Both were excellent. Goulash had a rich earthy and savory taste. Felt like a lot of love was put into making it. Beef was tender. I requested a roll to mop up every bit of the remaining gravy. Schnitzel was super crispy, juicy, and well seasoned. It came with a side of potato salad. Drink wise, I started with an espresso with milk and then pivoted to a blonde ale. The staff was attentive and the pacing of the food was quick. Despite being busy, we did not feel rushed.

The ribs were cooked well done into my liking, but not necessarily the fall off the bone type that Americans are accustomed to. Definitely prefer my ribs well done rather than undercooked. The flavors were amazing. My wife got the chef's special chili peanut chicken. Slow roasted chicken thighs with amazing seasoning and sauce. Finished our meal with an apricot ice cream dessert which I understand to be seasonal. The entire meal was amazing and highly recommend to anyone in the area.

It was a Thursday nite so it was kind of quiet when we arrived. The food was the most delicious food I've had in Austria...but that's not saying much. I found the food to be mostly tasteless in Austria. I had the American Cheeseburger with a side salad. The burger was pretty good but the salad was excellent. I asked for the fries to be well done & they were and were very tasty. This meal worked with a delicious beer. Loss of a star because the waiter walked past my table & bumped into my elbow while I was drinking my beer causing the glass to knock against my teeth & jarring my head. He looked back & offered just a tertiary apology for his bump. Not what should have taken place. Food was good however.

A lot of locals frequented this place and I could see why. I did the whole schpiel - appetizer/entree/dessert - but the first two were really memorable. The pancake soup here was absolutely awesome. The flavor of the broth was rich yet smooth. The weinerschnitzel was excellent. Perfectly cooked and the meat was flavorful and tender. The tasty potato salad was a perfect compliment to the meat. Honestly if I go back to Vienna in the near future, I will make an effort to head back to this place. The folks here are extremely friendly and the service was top notch. I can see why locals and non-locals alike gave this place pretty good reviews. You can't go wrong with great food and good service!

Fleisch in dünnen, flaxigen, zähen Scheiben!, ein dicker Brei als vermeintliche Sosse darüber und die Karotten als Beilage darunter kaum zu finden. Sorry, aber nahezu ungenießbar! Der besagte Herr Ober hat es bemerkt und die Speise zurückgenommen. Stattdessen wurde mir auf meinen Wunsch hin ein steyrischer Salat mit Backhähnchen serviert. Der Salat triefend vor Kürbiskernöl und die Schnitzel dünn wie ein Stück Pappe mit einer Panade, die jede halbwegs geübte Hausfrau besser hinbekommt. Wie dieses Lokal, das tatsächlich schöne Räume hat, sich den Anspruch eines Gourmetlokals auf die Fahne schreibt und dabei derartig schlecht abliefert, ist mir schleierhaft. Mein Mann hatte Backhähnchen. Dünn, aber noch ok, aber als Beilage Popcorn??? Auch so ein merkwürdiger Einfall. Zum Schluss haben wir mit 1 Flasche Wasser und einer Saftschorle 76!€ bezahlt.
