The flavor of the broth was rich yet smooth. The weinerschnitzel was excellent. Perfectly cooked and the meat was flavorful and tender. The tasty potato salad was a perfect compliment to the meat. It came with some large slices of carrots. The soup was light and delicious. I loved the combination with the carrots. I've never had Viennese food, but that was some good soup. I ordered the schnitzel and mixed for about 16.50 Euro. It was a little more than I wanted to spend, but the portions were huge. I couldn't finish the schnitzel. The mixed salad was good. It had carrots, cucumbers, potatoes, and sauerkraut. It had good flavor to it and I finished most of it. My sister ordered the beef goulash that came with potatoes. It was a pretty large portion as well that she couldn't quite finish it. I had to try the rolled pancake with apricot jam for dessert. You could order it with hot chocolate instead of jam as well. It was fresh made, warm, and covered in powdered sugar. It melted in my mouth. That apricot jam was heaven. Even though I was full, I ate most of it. It was that good. I didn't mind this place at all. They have free wifi for 180 minutes as well! I was a little surprised to learn they didn't take card, only Euros. Especially since their food isn't that cheap. It was very nice with excellent cheese and a tasty balsamic drizzle. Overall it was pretty good and I don't think it was overly expensive. It wasn't crowded and we were there at little after 6 pm and it was pretty empty. Note that Yelp says it was closed, but their website says they are open on monday and Tuesday, so don't believe yelp. But it was pretty good either way, so check it out.

I can assure you that there is no fine liquor that's only five years old and it's served in a 2 L bottle as your server made it seem like it was something overly special. Your restaurant asked the receptionist if she had ever heard of this and she said she is born and raised here and I've only seen restaurants in Italy do this. I would recommend that you don't do this even if you need to raise your prices and you would've gotten a five star review but because of this, I would never recommend going to your restaurant. It's not the cost. It's the fact of the hidden cost. Just because it's on your menu I didn't read the cost of every item on the menu. I only read the items that I wanted to purchase so please don't use that as an excuse. I didn't read everything above and below the desserts and the nonalcoholic section or about the appetizer so to hide something on your menu to later say that it's on your menu is highly dishonest.

When we arrived our table was ready in the lovely garden patio outside, a truly peaceful oasis in Vienna city. The staff was attentive, friendly, and patient with our different languages. The owner greeted us all and made food and wine recommendations. Our starters, main courses, and desserts were all absolutely amazing. You can tell that they take a lot of pride in their food and you can taste the love that you only get in a small independent restaurant. The owner went above and beyond and gave us a tour of the wine cellar which was really impressive. We will definitely be back!
