Food came out in a reasonable amount of time. The other tale are all the, what, managers? Owners? Hosts? Running around with their heads cut off, each of them with a tablet with their seating plan. Yelling at one another, getting in the waitstaff's way, and generally making it look like the end of the world is going to happen. It was absurd and it made everything pretty unpleasant. I think I was watching the owner get really concerned about a dj, hanging out with him, and then bolting to go to talk to a manager. Finally, I know a lot about Peruvian food, including traveling to Peru. The food at this restaurant is not that good.

Both are chocolate/coffee drinks. The octopus with veggies tasted fresh. The octopus was well cooked and lime did not overpower the dish like traditionally ceviche dishes typically do. The pork belly dish with Mexican hash browns was savory and the sauce they give is tart so it cuts through the savory taste. Only complaint is the unripe pineapple. Quantity- it is on the pricier end but makes up for it in quality. Atmosphere- nice small and welcoming. Service- very fast

Pasta of the day Pesto spaghetti w shrimp - 3.5 stars. Shrimp had a good crunch. Sauce a little too wet. On the spicy side so not the most kid friendly. Recently Jeremiah Bullied took over as owner chef and I was excited to go see what this travelling, pickling, kindly master of deliciousness was doing with the old Spanish social club. We went last night to check it out and though the changes being made so far are subtle they are a great indication of new life and exceptional cooking happening in the lovely old room looking out over St Laurent. The classics are all still there, just better: the bread is all homemade and is so freaking good. The goat cheese balls are still changing people's lives, the rapini now comes with kale and preserved lemons and is way better than before, and the chorizo is juicier and tastier than it has been in years. We tried the specials, a pumpkin soup with caramelized onions and toasted seeds and it was unlike anything I've eaten before and I want to eat it every day until May. The other special was Southern-friend quail in lemon gravy on pickled brussels sprouts. Everything about this dish was amazing, except I'm not a quail fan, I think it's stupid, but that's just me. The team here is making tiny changes to the room and the menu and I look forward to going back often to seeing how it all progresses. The fresh coat of white paint feels clean and amazing, and the other little tasteful updates to the decor are smart and good looking. Well worth a revisit, go get it!!

We had a wonderful dinner with our cousins tonight at this charming restaurant in Old Montreal…read more To start, we enjoyed two cocktails -- the Aperol Spritzerita and the Mai Tai. Both were refreshing and easy to sip. All four of us opted for the three-course dinner, which included an appetizer, main course, and dessert. For appetizers, two of us had the cod croquettes and grilled chorizo. I chose the grilled sardines and also added an order of grilled calamari. Everything was delicious, well-prepared, and full of flavor. For our main courses, two of us ordered the fish and seafood rice, one chose the grilled octopus, and my husband selected the catch of the day, which was tuna. Every dish was expertly seasoned, flavorful, and very satisfying. For dessert, two of us enjoyed the flan while the other two chose the chocolate mousse. Both desserts were excellent and provided the perfect ending to a memorable meal. Our cousins also ordered espresso, which they thoroughly enjoyed. The hospitality was exceptional. Our server, Jaden was warm, courteous, attentive, and genuinely easy to talk to. The owner and chef, Luis, also stopped by our table to check on us. He was gracious, down-to-earth, and incredibly welcoming. His kindness made us feel less like customers and more like guests in his own home. The décor and atmosphere created a comfortable and inviting setting for a relaxing dinner with family. From the delicious food to the outstanding hospitality, every aspect of our experience was enjoyable. We highly recommend this restaurant and will definitely return the next time we visit Montreal.

The spicy shrimp were a standout so delicious, I'd go back just for those. I had the turbot (yes, it's a real fish ) and it was cooked perfectly. The potatoes on the side were also amazing. We also had a seafood medley with rice (loaded with clams, mussels, shrimp, salmon, cod basically everything) and it was super saucy and satisfying. Drinks were on point too loved my old fashioned. To finish, we had a porto-braised pear with ice cream and it was honestly the perfect dessert. Beautiful location, especially if you can grab a window seat. Definitely a spot we'll be going back to.

We made a reservation for F1 weekend as we have done many times in the past for different restaurants in Montreal. Yes, some of restaurants have different menus for F1 weekend (such a prix fixed menu) but that information is available ahead of time when making the reservation, or as the event gets closer so you can make arrangements that work for you. They called me tonight and demanded that I let them put $300 per person on my credit card (for a party of 6 that is pushing $2000) right now or they will cancel the reservation. Which they did and it is fine with me. If I am giving them that much money ahead of time, what impetus is there to serve a nice meal? There are many lovely food and service oriented restaurants in Montreal as it's one of the finest dining cities in North America. We will take our business elsewhere now and in the future.
