We always order the calamari and the truffle fries -- both are incredibly delicious and consistently perfect. The filet mignon is also amazing: cooked beautifully, with mushrooms that are simply exceptional. My favorite side is the mashed potatoes, they're creamy, flavorful, and pair perfectly with the steak. The presentation of the dishes is gorgeous, served in very elegant and beautiful tableware, which makes the whole experience feel even more special. The service is just as impressive. The chef is very friendly and often comes out to check on guests, ask how everything is, and recommend dishes, which adds such a personal touch. The waitstaff are also very kind, attentive, and welcoming. As a lovely bonus, they serve complimentary warm mini rolls with a unique butter that tastes like a creamy, seasoned spread, almost like a flavored cream cheese or infused butter. It makes the rolls absolutely irresistible. Unfortunately I don't have pictures of the food but I have a video where we are celebrating our friend's birthday. Look how friendly is staff and chef! And all people who were in the restaurant. Highly recommend this place for both the food and the overall experience.

The waiter was nice and pretty knowledgeable. Our seat and area had some rice from a previous party but the waiter cleaned it up quickly. We were recommended the bread and the samsa. The bread sounded pretty good, but flavor wise very mild with a tiny hint of sweetness. It certainly is delicious eaten warm though. Super crispy with a soft inside. It pairs very well with the Korean style short rib as it soaks up the sauce nicely. The samsa was pretty good. The crunchy crust with the pastry that encircles some meat and onions seems similar to the bread they serve. It comes with a sweet salsa. The flavor was nice, well seasoned but nothing too exciting. The beef short ribs were really good. There was about 6-7 pieces but they are not the skinny short ribs you see at Korean places. These were thick slices packed full of delicious fatty flavor with a kick of sweet and savory. No rice came with it but the bread you order is amazing with this as it helps cut the fattiness and grease of this dish. Lastly we had the kebabs. The sauce was the same sweet salsa with the samsa. It would be nice if they had other sauces that can be equally refreshing or something spicy could work too. The lamb nicely cooked and well seasoned. It was a solid dish that Lamb lovers would sit well with. All in all a great place with pretty reasonable prices. Excited to come back and try something else. You wouldn't regret trying it.

Imagine our surprise, that while in town for business, and with time to kill before an art exhibition, we discovered an Uzbeki restaurant. Immediately upon entering, we were greeted and led to a large comfortable booth in the back of the restaurant. The lighting was warm, the walls were adorned with beautiful rugs, and the customers' spirits were high. Each table had been pre-set with the resutarant's lovely plates and crystal drinkware. Given that this was our first time at an Uzbeki eatery, we asked our server for some suggestions. Upon doing so, she then asked us if we prefer meat or fish. After perusing the menu a bit more and taking her suggestions into consideration, we had decided to order a wide array of sorts, opting for the pickled herring and potato appetizer, some Tandoori Samsas, a bowl of the Kharcho soup, and an order of the Guyru Dumplings. Our dishes were brought out promptly and our server made sure to check on us periodically throughout our meal, at one point even offering to allow the kitchen to split some of our dishes up for us to make it easier to share with one another. The pallet of flavors we were presented with was colored and wonderful; the pickled hairing playing a perfect duet with the hearty roasted potatoes, pairing well balanced acidity and perfectly crisp potatoey goodness, the kharcho simultaneously lightly spicy and fully refershing with that dill coming throough alongside juiicy chunks of lamb, and the the delectable dumplings, swimming in a flavorful bath of broth and sour cream. As we were nearing fullness, we realized we had forgotten to add one more piece to this meal...the dessert! After this realization, we decided to share a piece of wonderfully sticky Phaklava, adorned with and generously filled with walnuts and golden raisans. Suzani Restaurant is not to be missed. It is a dining experience that makes me feel like you've been invited into someone's home, but also that you are sitting down for a royal banquet. Be sure to check it out if you ever find yourself in the area. 5/5 stars

We were invited out to dinner by friends - they wouldn't tell us where we were going - they picked…read moreus up and drove to Northern Philadelphia. We pulled into a shopping plaza and saw our destination - Suzani. I had never eaten in an Uzbeki restaurant - our friends, who had eaten there before said "...come hungry!" They recommended a few appetizers - we ordered the Potato with Mushrooms, Eggplant Salad, Achichuk, and Kutab. Let's start with the Potato with Mushrooms - which the menu describes as "Fried Potato Slices with Pan Roasted Mushrooms and Onions. It should say "Potato Chips with Pan Roasted Mushrooms". It was a very unusual dish, to say the least. While the chips were homemade and tasty, having roasted mushrooms and onions with them didn't work at all for me. It was difficult scooping mushrooms onto the chips - and the combination was not that tasty. The mushrooms and onions would have been better by themselves. Once the chips got soggy from the mushrooms, it was very unappetizing. Next, the Eggplant Salad - which was fried eggplant, red and green pepper, tomato, Korean style carrots, garlic and cilantro served in a soy sauce. It tasted fine - I'm not a big fan of eggplant, but the veggies tasted fresh and I had some of the bread they served with it. The next appetizer was Achichuk, which is a traditional Uzbek salad of thinly sliced tomatoes, hot peppers and onions. I did not taste the dish, but was told it was okay for spiced fresh tomatoes. The last appetizer was Kutab - which was a flattened shell, which tasted and resembled the exterior of a fried dumplings, with meat and onions on the inside. It was super thin, and tasted okay. We ordered our main dishes after we finished the appetizers. The couple we were with both ordered the Salmon Kabobs - I tasted the salmon, it tasted good, and was tender. I ordered the Lamb kabobs - the lamb was tender, but it was a little too salty. However, when I had a piece of the lamb with the saffron rice, it diminished the saltiness of the lamb and tasted fine. My partner ordered the Filet Mignon kebab. It did not come with the other 3 orders - the sever said it would be out momentarily. Almost 15 minutes later, I was amazed my partner didn't have her entree! I gave the server a 'look' - she went in the back and FINALLY brought out my partner's dish. The meat (Filet Mignon) was tough and difficult to chew. I took a piece of my Lamb kabob to compare - my lamb was very tender compared to the steak! Not only was the order overly delayed - it was below average. While the other dishes were acceptable - they were mediocre. I would like to point out we were there during the dinner hour and we were the ONLY patrons there during the entire dinner. I wasn't surprised.

We were looking for suzani restaurant when we accidently stepped into suzani palace…read more Suzani palace isnt anything special, yet their dishes were a bit pricey. We got a few to try - the liver appetizer, eggplant salad, lagman and bread. - The Turkish liver was cooked and seasoned well. - The eggplant was warm and tossed in a cold salad. I liked it. The oil was surprisingly flavor ful. - The lagman portions were small for the price paid. It was also SO oily and could use a bit more salt. Flavors were not bad otherwise. - The bread was $3.50 for a small portion that I'm pretty sure I could get for much cheaper from the bakery next door. Given there are so many other places of the same cuisine around, I probably wont be making it back here for a while. Maybe one day I'll give it another shot.

Upon entering the foyer, there were two doors. It was not immediately clear as to which one I should proceed thru, I chose the door that said "NO SMOKING" and it took me into a nicely decorated dining room. The waitress was a nice enough young lady with somewhat limited English skills. She could take our orders but it was difficult to have a more detailed conversation about the food. For example, I was concerned about the the Khachapuri (cheese filled bread) that I had preordered. Sometimes, this bread is served with a raw egg on top. I did not want this and spoke to the waitress about it. She seemed to understand what I was talking about. However when it was served, there was no raw or cooked egg on top to be worried about whatsoever. We specifically went to Oasis to try their Chicken Tabaka (small chicken fried in garlic). It was very good in that it was juicy, had a lot of flavor, and had a nice, crunchy sear. We had the Achuk-chuk (tomato and onion salad), delicious, Eel salad (basic spring mix salad with "sushi" eel and sauce on the side, ok/basic. We also ordered the Armeninan Eggplant salad but it never came out. We weren't charged for it either, so the order must have been lost in translation. If you like cheese, you'll like the Khachapuri as it was more cheese than bread. My group liked it a lot. We then had the rice pilaf with beef and lamb, chicken heart kabob, the ground lamb kabob, and samsa (baked "dumpling" w/ lamb and partially cooked onions). All were tasty. I'd like to go back and try their other dumplings/pierogies, soups, and more kabobs. The samsa, chicken tabaka, rice pilaf with beef and lamb, Khachapuri, and Achuk-chuk were our favorites. BYOB
