I had 917 Burger and Clam Pasta. 917 Burger tasted superb with a juicy Wagyu patty. Clam Pasta tasted a bit salty, but it tasted good with Chardonnay. And I had Affogato for dessert, which was simple but the best for dessert. What I liked most about Restaurant 917 was the excellent service from the friendly staff. Camille, who was in charge of my table, and also Valencia, and Jesus all staff were professionally and friendly. They all made me want to come again. I had one of the BEST experiences here! I believe it's reservation only so book far in advance because it fills up quick. Duck confit: 9.7/10 The duck was very tender and juicy. The roasted yams with burnt marshmallow added lots of flavor to the dish. The marshmallow was a unique touch and I would've never thought it would pair well. It was a bit too sweet for me but overall, it was very delicious and unique. 917 burger: 9/10 My bf said his burger was also very tender and you could truly taste the quality of the wagyu beef patty. This restaurant is tucked away in the Porsche Experience center in Carson. Typically they are fully booked for months and Reservations must be made in advance. I put my name on the waiting list and surprisingly received a text a few days later that a reservation opened up. Come a little early before your reservation so you can check out all the great cars. Once you go upstairs into the restaurant there's an observation deck where you can watch the Porsches drive around the track. The menu is limited, but the food is delicious. We started with the octopus, which was grilled to perfection not chewy at all, bursting with flavor. Seemed that most people were ordering the burger, which is the cheapest item on the menu, and it looked amazing. We opted for the duck confit and the scallops per recommendation , both tender and melted in your mouth. Our server Nestor was friendly attentive and offered some great options. We tried our luck as walk-ins, and after about a 15 minute wait, they were able to seat us. Yay! (If they couldn't seat us, there is a more casual Speedster Cafe on the main floor that can serve you fast casual food or the food from Restaurant 917.) For those of you who don't know, Restaurant 917 is in the Porsche dealership and test track. There were a lot of people here on a business lunch and some who were there to do their test track experience. The restaurant overlooks the test track so you can see some people having a lot of fun in different Porsche vehicles while you eat. Food was a bit pricey (expected for the entertainment value), but was actually very delicious. We loved everything we ordered. The high quality of ingredients really surprised us. Service was also very good. Would definitely recommend if you are a car/Porsche fanatic or just want a nice meal overlooking the Porsche test tracks. I purchased the Father's Day brunch and a demo lap for my husband last year but we had to transfer it to a friend as we could no longer make it. Our friends went to brunch but couldn't do the demo lap. I guess someone crashed that day? Not too sure. Anywho, there was a delay in getting a refund so I emailed the GM Oliver, who offered to reschedule the demo lap with a fully comped meal. Oliver was quick to reply to emails and has been so helpful with rescheduling. We finally went last weekend, over a year after I originally purchased it, and we had such a wonderful time! We got two mock tails which were both delicious! The panoma & casnopolitan! The wagu burger was delicious and the hanger steak wasn't anything special in my opinion. I very much recommend the snake river steak, the potatoes were soft and the sauce was really well. The burger was exactly what a Porsche would taste like as described my fiancé. Something about the sauce was that tasty but I love that. The ship put out the lobster. Burger was eight out of 10. I enjoyed it. I wish the fries were a little more seasoned and flavorful. And they were absolutely delicious! And the bread and butter. I love pretzel bread and I love the poor shaped butters. Parking is easy and it's an open parking lot at dealership. I love it. From the moment we walked in, everyone was so friendly and helpful. My partner and I are LGBTQ and it was so relieving to find comfort in the fact that nobody was going to treat us differently. I couldn't afford the driving experience for my partner, but we asked an instructor if it was possible for us to at least sit in a car and take pictures, and they were MORE than happy to do that for us. One of the guys was a Jonathan, and I cant remember the other instructors name ): The dining experience at 917 was so amazing with views that my partner LOVED. I will say, I did have to make a reservation 3 months in advanced, but it was worth it. We both got the cheeseburger, and it was still so good even after being heated up later. The butter was shaped as a car, it was SO cute! We said no to dessert because we were full, but the waitress still brought out two brownie bites saying Happy Birthday to my partner. I wish I had the opportunity to write a detailed review on my full dining experience, however, I couldn't get the chance. I had a reservation I booked back in July for September. It was a surprise lunch I did for my boyfriend for his birthday. However, I accidentally went the day before my reservation, without realizing it. I showed up 30 mins earlier, excited. There was no one at the counter, but when workers did pass through, they said they couldn't help because they aren't open. So i'm standing there, confused why 3 workers told me that they can't help... I wanted to make sure everything was good because I had a clear reservation at 11. Finally at 11:30, a guy comes, and i'm checking in. I asked for a window seating, he says "I cannot guarantee it." But there were only 4 people behind us lined up... How is it not guaranteed? Then he tells me he doesn't see my name, and that's when I realized I made a mistake. My reservation was the next day. We ended up not going to the next day reservation because we didn't think it was worth driving up to Carson again, to not be guaranteed a window, even if we are the first ones there... As excited as we were to try the food, the customer service threw me off a little. I told my boyfriend maybe I can rebook for another time and give it one last try, but there's nothing until December. So maybe it wasn't meant to be.
