We started with the charcuterie board that came with a variety of meats and cheeses as an appetizer - so yummy! They also brought complimentary pretzel bread with Porsche shaped butters, also delicious. We both ordered the 917k burger for our entrees, which were amazing and the portions were huge! The presentation of the food was great too. I loved the attention to detail and the unique Porsche related logos they added to the food. Since we were there celebrating hubby's birthday, they brought us complimentary mini ice creams at the end. All in all a great experience! Highly recommend especially if you do the Porsche driving experience first. I was contacted by the General Manager. He invited us back for a meal and arranged for my husband to do a demonstration lap. They could not have done a more impressive job at turning us around about them! We were definitely given the VIP treatment, but to be fair, Hailey (our server and the Front of House Supervisor) gave the same wonderful service to the other tables around us as well! Jeff, the Catering Mangager, also came out and spoke with us. It was a nice touch but we will also be forwarding the information he provided us to my husband's company for possible future events. Now, on to the food! 5/5 - 917 Old Fashioned: The BEST Old Fashioned my husband has ever had! Brown butter washed Woodinville bourbon and angostura bitters. The giant ice cube has an imprint of the Porsche logo. 5/5 - Cured Peruvian Scallops: Wow! Amazing presentation! Aji Amarillo, coconut and cucumber relish. Spicy and delicious. A really nice dish. 5/5 - Coconut Intermezzo: An intermesso is "an icy interlude, a small dish to be consumed between courses, rejuvenating the palate and prepping it for the rest of the meal". This was served right after the spicy scallops, so it was PERFECT! 5/5 - Amuse Bouche: Perfectly toasted bread with duck confit and pear. Lovely and excellent flavors. 5/5 - 917 Burger: 8oz American wagyu, tomato bacon jam, swiss, mushrooms, green garlic aioli. Served with crispy fries. This burger had really good flavor! I would totally get this next time. 5/5 - Pretzel Sticks: Great pretzels. Adorable Porsche shaped butter. Excellent addition of the fleur de sel (finishing salt) 4/5 - Toasted Marshmallow Ice Cream: Really good. Served with berries. 4/5 - Double Espresso 4/5 - Charcuterie Board - I particularly liked the inclusion of gooseberries! 3/5 - 10oz Bone In Pork Chop - with warm potatos salad, smoked bacon and rosemary honey mustard. The pork was very good quality and cooked well. I didn't love the potato salad or the mustard sauce though. 3/5 - Spanish Octopus - We are octopus snobs. I would probably rate this a little higher based on the other things on the plate, but my husband would rate it lower. I compromised with 3 stars. The octopus was not as tender as we prefer and it was a little fishy tasting. However, the harissa aioli masked that. There was also brussel sprouts and chicharrones and bacon crumbles. 3/5 - Peach Tart: creme d'amande, peach compote, linzer cookie, mascarpone ice cream. It was more like cake than a tart. It tasted like it had marzipan in it and that was nice! My husband did a demonstration lap with Casper as his driver. It was a phenomenal experience that he would love to repeat! I want to share this with others in my family now. We spoke with Casper after our meal and he has a great passion for what he does and we learned about a monthly event for kids (18-21 I believe) to give them an experience and teach them how to handle the car in different situations. I wish I had the opportunity to write a detailed review on my full dining experience, however, I couldn't get the chance. I had a reservation I booked back in July for September. It was a surprise lunch I did for my boyfriend for his birthday. However, I accidentally went the day before my reservation, without realizing it. I showed up 30 mins earlier, excited. There was no one at the counter, but when workers did pass through, they said they couldn't help because they aren't open. So i'm standing there, confused why 3 workers told me that they can't help... I wanted to make sure everything was good because I had a clear reservation at 11. Finally at 11:30, a guy comes, and i'm checking in. I asked for a window seating, he says "I cannot guarantee it." But there were only 4 people behind us lined up... How is it not guaranteed? Then he tells me he doesn't see my name, and that's when I realized I made a mistake. My reservation was the next day. We ended up not going to the next day reservation because we didn't think it was worth driving up to Carson again, to not be guaranteed a window, even if we are the first ones there... As excited as we were to try the food, the customer service threw me off a little. I told my boyfriend maybe I can rebook for another time and give it one last try, but there's nothing until December. So maybe it wasn't meant to be. Place looked beautiful, ambiance is great, but customer service wasn't that great. read more

This place clearly has a GREAT publicist. It was just nothing special at all. Over-hyped with food that doesn't justify the prices and a view that does nothing to make up for the lackluster menu. There isn't much in the way of signage so just go in the main entrance of the Porsche building. You'll sign in and be directed to the second floor. Everyone acts like this is a very special place. You definitely should make a reservation - it's not large and I can't imagine the reaction you'd receive if you just walked in. We were seated by a window (because otherwise why bother?). We looked out onto a track and a bunch of parked Porsches... all pretty standard. I don't know what I was expecting but this wasn't all that exciting. The menu is tiny. We were hopeful that there might be specials to supplement the small menu. There was ONE special - a 4 oz. $95 Wagyu steak. The server tried to sell us on the octopus but we just aren't interested. She did convince me to go with the Dungeness Crab Spaghetti ($35). It was not good. Very fishy tasting and smelling. My partner could smell it from across the table. I didn't eat much of it. My SO went with the burger ($26), which is described this way: "8oz American wagyu beef, tomato bacon jam, swiss, mushrooms, green garlic aioli, fries". What this means is it is a big mess. The two sauces - the tomato jam and the aioli are fighting with each other and don't play well together. The whole thing fell apart after a few bites. And it wasn't pretty when we got to see the parts individually. I tried a few of his fries and did not care for them at all. He thought they were the best part of his meal. The only part we liked really was the cute, soft butter in the shape of a Porshe served with the bread. And you need that bread and butter because service is very slow here. We didn't order any appetizers (nothing looked um... appetizing) and it still took about 30 minutes to get our food. Meanwhile, some people did come out on the track and drive the cars around and do a few turns. But really... I come from a place where there is actual weather so I've seen cars spin out. Even really nice cars. So this wasn't that exciting for me. Unless someone is absolutely obsessed with cars - and especially the Porshe brand, I cannot think of a reason to come here. The food is not good, it is not convenient to anything and really not worth it. They do manage to get some great press write-ups... but I'm here to tell ya - that's hyperbole. read more

A few days after my recent review, I was contacted by the manager, Oliver, and all I can say is I am absolutely pleased with how he handled our situation. He apologized for what occurred that day, and invited us back for a complimentary meal at any date/time we chose. Oliver mentioned that he would greet me personally on the day of our reservation. When we arrived, Oliver kept his promise. He was waiting for us at the entrance and immediately welcomed us to the restaurant. He, again, made a sincere apology to me and my family as he sat us at our table. He reserved us the best seats in the house (by the window with an unobstructed view of the racetrack), and our table already setup with two glasses of champagne, one bottle of sparkling water, and one bottle of still water. We immediately felt like VIP guests. Oliver kindly offered us to order anything on the menu, as the entire meal would be complimentary. Hailey was our waitress that day, and she was so sweet and attentive. We ordered a few appetizers (Spanish octopus, hamachi crudo, Peruvian scallops), 2 cocktails (old fashion, blue berry smash), and 2 entrees (pork chop, king salmon), all of which were delicious. I was planning on sharing my entree with my 2-year-old son, but Hailey offered us a kids menu to better suit his taste. So we ordered chicken fingers and fries for the kiddo, and he definitely enjoyed it. Between our starters/main, they also served us amuse bouche duck confit toasts and an intermezzo sorbet to clean our palates. At the end of the meal, I ordered ice cream for our son, but declined desserts for ourselves, as we were completely stuffed. Hailey still insisted to serve us their peach pie because she said it was a must try. To top it off, they gave us two espressos to pair with the sweets. One of my favorite restaurants! I have been here almost 10 times now and each time I always have a great experience. I recently came for my birthday and was treated so well by all the staff as well as the manager. I received a nice birthday card and cake which made me feel very special. Exceptional food and exceptional service; I mean what more can you ask for!?! The minute we walked in we were greeted with big smiles from a gentleman name Jesus and Joana. We were immediately seated. Our waiter Nestor was beyond amazing, personable, friendly, and answered all our difficult questions. He was very well-versed, as my brother is allergic to some of the ingredients. Nestor made sure that he was taken care of. Minus the service the only reason I eat at the restaurant is because of Chef Matt Lee . He is a remarkable which left us speechless at the end of our lunch. We started off with the ocean plate. The scallops are the best I've ever tasted. We also ordered the tuna poke. It was bursting with flavor. My brother, mom and I decided to share different entrées. What an experience! I originally purchased a gift card for the driving experience for my buddy that he has yet to use, but will be making him use it soon as an excuse to come dine here again. The space itself is really nice. Lots of parking and electric vehicle charging stations. Had reservations on Sunday June 11th for the 75th Anniversary. The only real issue I had was with the hostess, not only did she look unprofessional but she also acted unprofessional making unnecessary comments. Should've each ordered one instead of sharing; it was that good. 5/5 - Salmon: Was looking forward to the polenta cubes, but they weren't crispy or hot, and the romesco sauce was just ok. But the fish itself was cooked perfectly. 3/5 - Crab pasta: Surprised it came with a decent amount of lump crab meat, which makes sense considering the price ($35). The sauce was very rich, but flavorful, and the spaghetti wasn't overcooked. 4/5 The car-shaped butter that came with the pretzel rolls was a fun touch, and the house-made Arnold palmer was super refreshing. At the end, they brought out some banana bread bites for my husband's birthday along with a signed card. This was a top-notch dining experience for my family. I made the OpenTable reservation a month prior because it was for a celebration. Free parking available. When we arrived, we completed the visitor check in and then proceeded to the second floor. We were seated in a minute, right by the window so that we could enjoy the view of the Porsches being driven outside. Our server Nestor was great. Nestor and his colleagues made sure we were taken care of throughout our time there. We were given the option to start off the celebration with champagne. There was also a list of non-alcoholic drinks available. We tried a variety of dishes and shared with each other. The Porsche-shaped butter that accompanied the soft pretzel breadsticks was an adorable touch. We started with the seafood platter, chicken liver mousse, and beef tartare. We then had hanger steak, mushroom tortellini, Spanish octopus, and duck confit hash. Every dish was delicious -- we cleaned our plates! The restaurant treated us to some brownies on a plate with a greeting written in chocolate sauce. We decided to finish off with multiple desserts: caramel apple, chocolate hazelnut praline, and housemade ice cream (my sister got to choose the flavors). We're already thinking about going back. Took my parents here for a celebratory lunch on a Saturday. They open at 11:00 am and our reservation was for 11:15 am. I had requested for a window table that overlooks the race track, and they gave us the perfect table with an awesome view! From the minute we arrived to the minute we left, the service was spectacular. There were several servers/waiters/waitresses who stopped by our table at various times throughout our meal to refill waters, check on our food, etc. The service was truly 5 stars. The restaurant itself is modern and beautiful, although it has a somewhat casual vibe to it, as people were dressed in various ways - from shorts & tee-shirts to nicer attire. They had fresh flowers for the center pieces which were beautiful and added a nice touch. The reason for the 4 stars instead of 5 stars is due to the food. It was good, but not superb. The best part of our meal was the bread! It was perhaps the softest bread I have ever had. It came with two Porsche shaped butters and salt, which was really cool. Three of us ordered a Kobe burger for $20, and added a fried egg for $2. The burgers were cooked to our preference, but I felt that the overall taste could have been better - it just needed more flavor. The fries that came with the burger were okay - not good or bad. My mom had the Romanesco Cauliflower and she said that was really good. It was also very colorful and beautiful! My parents shared a dessert and said that was good as well. It was really cool to see all of the cars going around the race track. My dad and I are Porsche enthusiasts (he owned one back in the day and I own one now), so this is like an "adult Disneyland" for us! I thought the overall experience of dining at a Porsche experience center was a very cool and unique experience but I personally thought that the oil/butter on both the pretzels and my short rib dish was excessive because it was to the point where I experienced physical discomfort and eventually pain on the drive home. I came here to celebrate a birthday and any larger parties are required to follow a set lunch menu (dinner is still not being served) which was very limited. Positives 1. Such a beautiful restaurant and it is so cool to be dining while watching the drivers run the course! There are a lot of interesting exhibits and cars to see so it's definitely 2. The Porsche shaped butter is just the cutest! Negatives 1. Any larger parties have to be limited to a set course, which wouldn't have been a big deal if there were better options to try. I set up the reservation and we were able to choose 1 salad out of 3 options, 2 entrees out of 3 options and 1 dessert out of 3 options. 2. The food itself was disappointing in taste: -Pretzel sticks: would have been great if they were not buttered/oiled. It kept slipping through my hands because I didn't want to squish it and it left a heavy, greasy feeling in my mouth. Why even give out butter when your pretzel is drowned in some kind of grease already? -Apple and blue cheese salad: Actually very good! The poached green apple was amazing in here! -Short rib and Salmon entree: The short rib was better tastewise but the deepfried broccolini was just soaked in oil. Not drained at all and one bite of one of the broccolini tops is the part of the dish that tipped my stomach over. -Apple cobbler: I personally thought the cream on top had alcohol still in it or the flavor of it was very strong and took away from my experience of the apple cobbler which was just okay. I'd like to try their other menu items but they were so not flexible with it that I was not able to. A little disappointing since this was quite a drive for the party and we were willing to pay more for it! read more
