Best little "hometown" bakery! The owners (Paul and Anne) are the most helpful people, and the variety of options is outstanding! We LOVE the cruffins and scones, especially the Cheddar Bay scone. It's great with any meal, or just as a savory treat! If you have a special diet, they have you covered! Gluten free, dairy feee, vegan... we have tried them all, and they are just as wonderful as the full fat, full dairy, full wheat choices. We attended a wedding where the entire buffet was vegan. First off, it smelled absolutely DIVINE when we walked in. Right off the bat, we were welcomed and told to ask any questions if we had any. I have a gluten intolerance, so I looked at the GF options. They had a variety of cookies (peanut butter, chocolate chip, gingerdoodle, and oatmeal raisin) as well as a muffin option. I spoke to a woman named Anne. She was beyond friendly and knowledge about allergies. Her sister has a gluten intolerance, so she informed me she is very serious about allergies. It is a shared kitchen though. Paul is owner bakery and over all nice guy it was snowing so hard. It was hard for me to get a parking place and hop out in the ice and snow. After stopping at Wildflower boutique next door, I stopped into Resilience bakery! I am gluten free and have Crohn's disease so food is always a hit or miss. However, im happy to report that Resilience Bakery is a huge hit. I got the gluten free peanut butter cookie and the gluten free chocolate chip cookie and both were so so good. I will admit, I was more of a fan of the peanut butter than I was the chocolate (just based on consistency) but both were very highly rated on my scale. The kitchen is not dedicated gluten free and some of the gluten free foods are in the same case as gluten containing foods, but they're kept on the top shelf and the owner is careful to put clean gloves on to handle the gluten free foods. I didn't have any issues or flares with my Crohn's after eating the cookies, but I am able to have minimal cross contamination. All in all, this was a great place to snag a snack from! You should definitely head over to wildflowers as well if you're a jellycat fanatic like myself! They have amazing finds! read more

Lovely,quaint,artistic creations with heavenly tastes of perfection. We happened to pass by and decided to stop in. We were quickly greeted by a youmg female employee,whom was eager to to explain each tasty dessert they currently had in their display case. The Lemon Poppy Seed scone was literally to die for. Moist and soft on the inside side, with a crisp exterior.The portion size was perfect for sharing. We were surprised to learn they were have been opened one year this July. They had a wonderful gluten free assortment. We were also pleasantly impressed informed that most all desserts have a gluten free option, or other allergy free options to order. We ordered the chocolate hazelnut cruffin, the almond bear claw, and a chocolate chip cannoli. The cannoli shell was a bit soft for my taste. I like a really crisp cannoli shell. This is a new bakery on Main St in Canandaigua. They had a limited but decent selection on a Friday night around 6pm. They had some vegan and gluten sensitive items in addition to the regular gluten goodies. They had cookies, cupcakes, muffins, scones, cake slice or full cake. I chose to try a vanilla buttercream cupcake, chocolate buttercream cupcake, and a blackberry scone. The cake, whether vanilla or chocolate is delicious...soft, moist, good flavor. I liked the vanilla buttercream. The chocolate buttercream was light on chocolate flavor. The scone was good but I don't think scones are really my thing. I would definitely use this bakery to get a full cake for an event (and I'm experienced in making cakes). read more

This is a clean establishment and could definately fill the gap that Panera Bread left when they closed if they just brought in someone to help with the missing pieces. I live right in the neighborhood and decided to try it out this past weekend with a friend. The young gentleman behind the counter was very nice but had not be trained in presentation at all. We are "green" people and like compostable/reusable products, but there were no napkins offered and none on the tables. We did find some on a small table by the door with the sugar and creamer, but it was odd to not have it offered with the items purchased. No trays or anything so wrestling drinks and baked goods to the table was difficult and they did not have butter or cream cheese for the muffins - I couldn't believe it! The nutella croissant, although really beautiful had so much nutella inside that even after scraping out about 2 tbs it was still sickening to eat. They didn't have hot water or tea to have with breakfast pasteries - only actual hot cocoa that was literally like drinking a chocolate bar - definately needed more whipping cream or milk. The musical selections playing were very nice and we did feel like we could stay and talk as long as we like. Although the berry medley muffin was very good it was odd that it was a big deal to heat it up and there was no additional butter to enjoy on it. I'm not sure if they think people will grab things and take them home or what but I don't think I'll be stopping back in unfortunately. read more
