Downstairs breakfast area with waffle makers, breads, juice, eggs, yogurt bar

Truly an incredible stay at an incredible hotel. I find this place ideal for stays of all durations, work, or just vacation related. It's relatively new in the Springfield area. It's also very close to the highway for travel/ job, restaurants, the mall, and anything you may need. My family and I have never felt so welcome and so at home. Breakfast was great (much better than expected!). We stayed in a suite with full kitchen, king bed and full bathroom in one room attached and a queen with full bathroom attached on the other side. They allowed our special guest, Daisy!! And she loved it. Exit through the main lobby to the back of the hotel and there are some areas to walk your pets so they can pee peacefully. Main lobby has two entrances one with its own opening from old Keene mill road straight past the hotel to access the FREE Parking garage (they don't give you passes it's just free) and one that goes out the main entrance with a roundabout for pick ups shuttles etc. The pool and hot tub is perfect for winding down after a long day. Everything seems very clean and maintained well. Added pluses include free WiFi and free happy hour foods with full bar! This certainly helps seeing as that the hotel does not have room service or dinner options. I know they also have a bar with snacks available to purchase downstairs in the lobby. Definitely utilize all that the hotel makes available. Shuttles can be called at your convenience and hospitality is 110%

Only good spot I found to walk the dog

Totally would be 6 stars if there was more of an area to care for your pet. Best place I found was a median out the front door but beware incoming and outgoing traffic. The pool is just the size for kids, lifeguard is always there. Monday-Wednesday they office a free light dinner with drinks. Free WiFi, shuttle, gym and friendly staff. The daily breakfast is plentiful too. Thank you all for making our temporary housing time enjoyable

This is a very nice Residence Inn. Everything is newer and clean. The rooms are incredibly spacious and comfortable. We utilized every area in the room and it really felt like a second home. A few negatives, making reservations was very weird and took longer than it should have due to some restrictions with our room block. However, it was worth it due to our group rate discount in the end. Secondly, breakfast, though some loved it, I personally thought was awful, but it was free. Parking was also free, which is super cool because free parking is rare in the DMV. Perfect area, not far at all from tourist attractions. Would totally lodge there again.

Very nice lobby and clean rooms. They also have a parking garage which is perfect for this area. The wifi is efficient and they have private tv's in the lobby area. Remotes don't work though but that's minor.

ROACH!!!

DO NOT BE FOOLED by the nice decor, stainless steal appliances, king size beds, and full length mirrors. When i walked in I was impressed by how everything looked. I go to put some food away in the cabinet and I thought I saw a roach. I jump back bc A ROACH! Lol! My friends try to convince me I'm seeing things..I move on yet, I'm leery. A few days later I'm brushing my teeth and what do I see A ROACH running across the bathroom sink! I tell the staff...not one apology just given another room!!! The front desk staff also appeared as if I was bothering her when I told her about seeing a roach in two different places in my room. Be careful guys...you do not want to bring these things home with you

I stayed here spur of the moment. Great staff! Great prices!!! Immaculate rooms!!!! I would def stay again!!!

Much nicer then I had anticipated, rooms are well furnished. Maybe a bit to cluttered but worth the price paid I feel, Kitchen area ect were very nice, I would stay at this location again No problem. we were on the 6th Floor room 109. Which overlooks an adult video store which made for some great jokes on the trip so i thank the owner of that dingy establishment for that. The breakfast area is pretty cool , the breakfast options in the morning are also better then most, eggs, sausage, potato pancakes, bagels ect. Ya know.... breakfast shit. The one thing about the hotel that was rather annoying is that the parking and how it connects to the hotel is kind of confusing and sort of like navigating pans labyrinth. I was waiting for a trap door to pop open at any second every wrong turn i took trying to find my way back to my car with my loaded up luggage carousal. But good news is i made it... so rest easy. Hotel was clean, staff was friendly and Ill be back again im sure.

We were charged for audiovisual services that were not functional when our seminar began. Staff onsite were unable to operate the equipment and acknowledged they were not trained. We had to bring in outside equipment at our own expense to keep the event going. The hotel later refunded the AV charge, but refused to cover the additional cost we incurred due to their failure. Even more concerning was the behavior of the Catering Manager, who was confrontational and unprofessional in front of guests and staff. This included a heated exchange that was visible to attendees and others present, including representatives from a nonprofit organization we were supporting. That level of conduct is not what you expect when hosting a professional event. This property has a lot of potential, but based on this experience, I would be very cautious about hosting an event here without clear assurances around on-site management.

When I arrived at check-in time, my Digital Key wasn't ready and I had to wait 30 mins in the lobby until the room was ready. They did clam to refund the parking fee ($17) for the inconvenience so that's nice. The room itself was fine. Though they didn't have linens for the pull out sofa bed nor did they have shampoo in the shower. The toilet handle was malfunctioning and the shower drain was wacky too so those were minor inconveniences. Beds were comfy and the room was fine so good there. The pool was closed starting on Christmas Day to January 31. No reason was given. I'm not blaming them for it but it was a bummer for my kids. Fitness Center was there too but I can't comment on it as we didn't use it. The evening complimentary reception was decent. Adults get two free alcoholic beverages and kids have their choice of unlimited juices of soda. The food was tortilla chips, veggies, fruit, cookies (which ran out and not replaced), and cheese/crackers. Breakfast consisted of made to order food as well as a buffet of sorts. Eggs, potatoes, chicken sausage, and biscuits/gravy were the hot food choices. Bagels, fruit, and cereal other options as well. No waffle maker in sight which is unusual for Hilton hotels. All in all it was a decent stay and is conveniently right off 95. Would I come here again if I need too? Maybe, but it wouldn't be something I'd be over the moon looking forward to.

I…read morebring that up because I stay in a lot of Marriotts (almost 400 nights on my own and probably another 1,000+ for work where I don't get to keep the award nights). This is easily a top 3 WORST experience I've ever had at a Marriott. Check in: the lady at the desk was cold and barely even acknowledged my existence. Not a word about being a good member or lifetime status member. The pool was closed. We had a very large group and part of why we chose this hotel was for the pool so the kids could play in it. Not a single word at check in about it being closed, not was it on the website or in an email. Simply unacceptable. There was an extremely large group or groups of teenage kids there for DC tours or sporting events. The hallways were extremely loud ALL night long and made it impossible to sleep. If your hotel knows about these large groups (and they know exactly how many there are) they should be placing them in one area, together, away from everyone else so families and travelers can get rest. Putting all these kids and groups around families is begging for disaster. Simply unacceptable. My room was next to a busy street and ALL night long I could hear cars going by, another reason I didn't get much sleep during my stay. My room smoke detector was beeping all night long, when it started I called down to the front desk and the phone rang for 10 minutes and yet no one picked it up. I went down to find the front desk worker and no one was around, even after I waited about 10 minutes. The next day I told the workers at the front desk about the beeping and asked for it to be fixed. When I returned to my room that night the beeping was still there. Completely unacceptable to not fix that after being asked to. The fire alarm went off at 630am, waking every person and forcing us to go outside where it was freezing temperatures. After we finally got back inside we were told it was just a false alarm, not someone pulling the alarm. Our family has a special needs child and he was absolutely terrified the rest of the trip, he kept asking if we were going to die in a fire because of the fire alarm. The rooms are old and outdated, we had one room where the wall paper was falling off the walls all over the place. My pillows were terrible, they had different styles but none of them provided any kind of softness or comfort. I am still looking for the managers direct email, I am demanding my points be returned to me for this stay, it was truly a terrible experience from the time I steeped onto that property. This hotel should be stripped of the Marriott name because it completely ruins the brand.

Didn't think twice about it since I have never had any issues with hotels.com in ten years. Received 2 texts from the hotel the day before my stay confirming it, as well as phone call directly from the hotel the morning of my stay from a very nice customer service person asking me if id like to upgrade my rooms to king. We decided on not upgrading, since I requested connecting rooms and they are only available in double queen. I advised the representative that I would be arriving around 6-7 PM that evening and she said, "great, see you later!" After driving five hours to Springfield from New York with my child, I arrived at the hotel at 7PM only to be told that my reservation had been canceled. The man at the front desk spoke in single syllables, said there was nothing he could do and no manager that I could speak to. He also said he could not look and see who had called me from the hotel that morning because they don't keep records of customer service interactions or calls regarding reservations. Perhaps most appallingly, he did not offer to see if they had any rooms available for me to stay in!!!!! The only thing he could manage to accomplish during the exchange was to confirm that the phone number that called me to discuss my longstanding reservation that morning was, in fact, the hotel's phone number. This hotel left me stranded 5 hours from home alone with my child and didn't even attempt to pretend to care. I was on the phone with hotels.com for an hour in my car in this hotel's parking lot with my hungry and upset child to try to rectify this. And still- this hotel refused to help the hotels.com agent or offer any apology or recompense whatsoever. The only hotel I could find at the last minute was an hour away. I didn't check in until 10PM. What an absolute nightmare. Be careful booking here. Confirm your reservation multiple times and take down names of who you spoke to and when. And try to check in during management hours in case something does go wrong.

Warning: Avoid Roach Motel Marriott TownePlace Suites, Springfield, VA…read more 6245 Brandon Ave, Springfield, VA 22150 I would give no stars to this roach motel if I could. It is an absolute dump! About a month ago, my family and I checked into what we thought would be a decent mid-range Marriott property while waiting to close on our new home. Instead, we walked into the worst hotel experience of our lives -- a true roach motel. From the start, the first room smelled like something had died in it -- hot, sticky, and clearly unoccupied for a long time. The second room wasn't much better: dingy carpets, old stained furniture, a grimy outdated kitchenette with stained pots, and a pool so filthy that our kids got sick after swimming in it. Housekeeping was supposed to come every other day but often skipped us entirely. When they did come, some staff behaved suspiciously around our valuables. On our last day, a cleaner vacuumed one square foot of the floor, left for "lunch," then returned with a translator to yell at me from the doorway. When I called the front desk, the so-called general manager sided with the cleaner, accused us of "complaining too much," and demanded that my family -- including two elderly relatives and two children -- vacate the property immediately, even threatening to call the police. I contacted Marriott corporate expecting professionalism, but they took the GM's word at face value, offered only a refund for one day, and closed the case. No apology. No accountability. We took a video showing all the evidence to prove that our story is true. We took a video of the uncleaned room and the vacuum that wa left in our room. But none of that was taken into consideration by Marriott Corporate! Bottom line: This location is dirty, unprofessional, and downright hostile to paying guests. Marriott's corporate response showed they don't care about customer safety or satisfaction. We will never stay at a Marriott again. If you value cleanliness, respect, and basic decency -- stay far away from Marriott TownePlace Suites in Springfield, VA.
