    Embassy Suites by Hilton Springfield What beautiful huge hotel with all the amenities you would desire to include onsite restaurant, Bar and breakfast buffet. Reservation: The online process was seamless enough, I do wish that they had contactless services "pass the counter" and keyless entry. Reception: We arrived late so, the doors required a room key to open. The receptionist at the desk saw us at the door and promptly gave us access. The bar staff were super nice and accommodating. We always make a point to speak to the housekeepers as we pass them during the day, they appeared to appreciate being seen. Room: We had a double queen room. The rooms are spacious, a little dated but nice and clean.

    I visited this hotel in January 2024 and was satisfied with my stay. I chose this location for the close proximity to the Franconia-Springfield Metro Station (less than 10 min drive). I had a King Bed room which had a tv in the bedroom, one bathroom (walk in shower), a small living room area with couch and tv, and a small kitchenette. Everything was clean and supplies in the bathroom were filled. The tissue box was nearly empty though with no backup. Water pressure in shower was good and so was temperature. The only issue I had with the room was that there was nothing in the kitchenette like plates, silverware, or paper towels/napkins. I had ordered dinner one night from a nearby restaurant for my boyfriend and I to split. We called down to the front desk to inquire about silverware and plates. They didn't have any paper plates and I guess they couldn't get into the dining area due to the late hour to get real plates for us? They did have plastic silverware sets. I thought this was kind of weird that they didn't have stuff to offer. I understand not stocking every room with kitchen supplies but at least have it available to guests if they call overnight.. We had the complimentary breakfast the next morning and it was nice, specially the made to order omelette station. They also had scrambled eggs, French toast, crispy potatoes, bacon, cereal/milk, oatmeal, juice, coffee, fruit, and yogurt (I think I hit everything). I know they rotate some dishes out based on supply. The dining area was spacious and they have attendants to take your plates/cups, wipe down tables, etc. Everyone we encountered was nice but not overly friendly. They also have trays so we brought our food up to our room. Overall we had a good experience here and I would recommend it to people looking for somewhere to stay in the area. I know they also offer complimentary happy hour but we weren't there during the hours so I can't speak on that. It also looks like there are lots of areas to set up a laptop/workstation if you need to get work done.

    I travel for work from Las Vegas to VA several times a year, and since my first stay here at Embassy Suites, this is absolutely my hotel of choice and would not think about staying anywhere else! Embassy Suites by Hilton Springfield is a beautiful hotel with all the amenities you need to have a great stay, relax, and not go anywhere else once you are here. If you are a Hilton Honors member, you can use the app for everything. You can check in, and even pick your room of choice or let them pick one for you. I really appreciate this option as I can see all rooms available and pick where I would like to be. Next you get a message that your room is ready and once you arrive you can go straight to your room and use the app to open the door to your room! They also send you a text from the front desk to welcome you and ask what they can do for you. They do answer back with anything you need. The rooms here are very nice, comfortable and spacious. They are well kept and you will get your room cleaned every day. The rooms are quite large and you will never feel cramped or uncomfortable. They have a Manager's Reception from 5:30-7:30 during the week where you can get complimentary drinks and light snacks. Usually they have cheese and crackers, veggies, fruit, cookies and other options which is nice. Their restaurant is the Crossroads Bar and Grill which has a great menu of options and everything I have had here is fantastic and another reason I don't need to go anywhere else. Service is excellent, atmosphere is excellent and the food is fantastic. They also have a huge free breakfast every morning! From light items and buffet options to made to order omelets and more! This hotel and their staff will go out of their way to make sure you have a great stay and experience. I personally met with their GM Luis, and he is a large part of their success and the family atmosphere. While Embassy Suites is a brand that is above others, this one really sets the bar for excellence...others do not compare. Please consider this hotel for your next stay, you will not be disappointed! Thank you to Luis and your whole team for making this such a great atmosphere and great place to stay and enjoy!

    This woman ignored multiple guests who saw/smelled smoke and told us we were overreacting

    Unsafe, Unhelpful, Utterly Unacceptable Fire alarm started going off during our stay and the front desk staff actively ignored multiple guests who reported smelling smoke in the stairwells and told us we were overreacting. The woman pictured dismissed us, saying, "we have housekeeping on the third floor, we would know if there was a fire, go back to your rooms." It wasn't until other panicked staff members came downstairs due to the smoke that the front desk chose to take the situation seriously. Even after the fire department arrived and got the situation under control, there was no apology or remorse from the front desk for failing to ensure the building was safe before telling people to go back to their rooms. If you want to stay at a hotel with a staff that cares, look elsewhere, these people don't want to lift a finger.

    Whether you are stopping through, or need a "staycation" of your own. The Embassy by Hilton is a place where home is an extension, and family is here to serve you. The rooms are spectacular, the complementary drinks are a bonus, and the service has been excellent every visit. We are from NJ, but this is the place to stay on our journey south!

    Gross! Nothing worse than staying in a hotel and you don't want to take off your socks or flip-flops; changing the linen and wiping out the sinks is NOT a cleaning. Zero Stars and (5) down from me and my hubby. Thank goodness my family and I only had to endure this disgusting room for less than 24 hours.

    The pros definitely outweigh the cons at this hotel! And there a plenty of pros! The suites are spacious, the breakfast has plenty of hot and cold options, fresh fruit and more & the guest reception with drinks for guests made it one of the better stays I have had. Rooms: Kitchenette with mini-fridge, microwave, sink, coffee maker and cabinet space. Living space with ottoman/living room table- can be used for seating or table space & coat closet. Desk/table area for work or eating. Bedroom with dresser & closet- king size bed. Bath is huge- lighting wasn't as bright as most bathrooms. Shower stall spacious, and modern look with gray tile. Breakfast: Omelet station, hot bar with eggs, bacon, sausage, homefries, pancakes & grits . Cold side had plenty of cereal choices & oatmeal, danishes, muffins, fresh fruit, yogurt bar, variety of breads for toast, bagels. Variety of juices, coffee & tea. Something for everyone. Guest reception: variety of complimentary drinks available for guests, some specialty drinks are reduced price. Nibbles also offered- chips and salsa, cheeses, chips, pretzels, veggie tray and dip, pasta salad, cookies and brownie assortment. The cons: Water pressure is very light, we have stayed here previously and I remember that from last time too. Cleaning staff doesn't do a very good job. Toilet, floors and table were not cleaned properly. The beautiful modern gray tile in the shower scares me- you wouldn't be able to see if it was cleaned correctly. Overall- I like this hotel. The problems I addressed here are common in most hotels. There's always something. It has a very modern and beautiful look throughout. The breakfast, bar and restaurant serve good food. This was our third stay and is the preferred family hotel when we all come into town. I am sure we will be back.

This is easily a top 3 WORST experience I've ever had at a Marriott. Check in: the lady at the desk was cold and barely even acknowledged my existence. Not a word about being a good member or lifetime status member. The pool was closed. We had a very large group and part of why we chose this hotel was for the pool so the kids could play in it. Not a single word at check in about it being closed, not was it on the website or in an email. Simply unacceptable. There was an extremely large group or groups of teenage kids there for DC tours or sporting events. The hallways were extremely loud ALL night long and made it impossible to sleep. If your hotel knows about these large groups (and they know exactly how many there are) they should be placing them in one area, together, away from everyone else so families and travelers can get rest. Putting all these kids and groups around families is begging for disaster. Simply unacceptable. My room was next to a busy street and ALL night long I could hear cars going by, another reason I didn't get much sleep during my stay. My room smoke detector was beeping all night long, when it started I called down to the front desk and the phone rang for 10 minutes and yet no one picked it up. I went down to find the front desk worker and no one was around, even after I waited about 10 minutes. The next day I told the workers at the front desk about the beeping and asked for it to be fixed. When I returned to my room that night the beeping was still there. Completely unacceptable to not fix that after being asked to. The fire alarm went off at 630am, waking every person and forcing us to go outside where it was freezing temperatures. After we finally got back inside we were told it was just a false alarm, not someone pulling the alarm. Our family has a special needs child and he was absolutely terrified the rest of the trip, he kept asking if we were going to die in a fire because of the fire alarm. The rooms are old and outdated, we had one room where the wall paper was falling off the walls all over the place. My pillows were terrible, they had different styles but none of them provided any kind of softness or comfort. I am still looking for the managers direct email, I am demanding my points be returned to me for this stay, it was truly a terrible experience from the time I steeped onto that property. This hotel should be stripped of the Marriott name because it completely ruins the brand.

Definitely some areas for improvement but overall, not bad…read more PROS: -This hotel is conveniently located walking distance from a number of shops, and convenience stores including Trader Joe's, Whole Foods, Total wine, CVS, Starbucks, as well as a few restaurants. There's also a gas station next to the hotel with rather reasonable gas prices. -There is ample, free parking on site. The hotel also offers access to the top floor parking deck from the second floor -Room is cozy and spacious and comes with all of the amenities this brand is known for (refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, dining table, etc.). The decor is a bit dated, but it's very comfortable. -Very quiet stay! even though I was not in my preferred top floor corner room, the staff did their best to accommodate me and the room was perfectly and delightfully quiet. -The breakfasts here are definitely some of the best I've had at any Residence Inn. They offer egg white frittatas, fried potatoes, scrambled eggs, muffins, bagels, English muffins, oatmeal, boiled eggs (conveniently already shelled and bagged), fruit, and of course everyone's favorite... The Belgian waffles. (There was only one waffle maker though. They should invest in at least one more, to minimize the wait time). Instead of one whole waffle, the waffle maker makes four mini waffles. Perfect for decorating them and topping them with whatever you want. And in addition to syrup, they also offer Nutella, a variety of jams, honey, plus almost a dozen toppings including coconut, raisins, sunflower seeds, banana chips, and a few other fun things. Paper plates are available upon request, and they also offer tiny to-go cups for the syrup. -shower has a nozzle with adjustable setting so I don't have to do the "rotisserie chicken" thing to rinse off. -Washcloths and towels just the right balance between coarse and soft CONS: -The sink area is very small...not enough space for all of my toiletries, but I made it work. -At other Residence Inn locations, there was flavored ice water available 24/7. That is not the case here. While they do have a standard water fountain, it's very difficult to fill up water bottles. I highly recommend adding a water bottle fountain accommodate those of us who travel with our water bottles. -The in-room clothing rack is too close to the ground. I like to iron all of my clothes and hang them up in the closet when I first arrive. However, the highest clothing rack available in the closet area is still so low to the ground that the bottom of my knee-length dresses touched the floor. -The shower takes a very long time to get warm, and the water pressure is frustratingly low. Even with the attachment, it still takes forever to rinse off. -The in-room iron was so old and emitted clouds of dust onto my clothes whenever I used the steam function. Additionally, the gauge was worn so it was difficult to see what setting the iron was on. The mini ironing board in the room made it very difficult to iron clothes. A full size ironing board would have really been helpful. -I have concerns about the availability of the front desk staff. Most of the times that I passed the front desk, there was no one there. It's been this way since the moment I arrived. I walked in and waited at the desk for few minutes before someone finally showed up to check me in. Very early the next morning, I came down to the lobby looking for the fruit infused ice water, and the only employee I found to ask about it was taking a snooze in the bar area. Later the day, I went to the front desk to report a dead insect in one of my light fixtures, as well as a malfunctioning door lock. I returned to my room 8 hours later only to find that the dead insect problem had not been addressed. I called the front desk multiple times to follow up that evening, and no one answered the phone. This situation was only resolved when I went down to the front desk the next morning to complain. There was only one elevator working during our stay, but there were no notices on the elevators or in the lobby to notify us. That made it very difficult to get to where we needed to be when all of the guests and the hotel staff were. sharing one elevator.

The Hotel offers free high-speed Wi-Fi, complimentary breakfast and their suites are spacious. The staff was friendly and tried to be as accommodating as possible under my circumstances. When I entered my room, it was clean and looked comfortable. We noticed the phone in the room was inoperable, so we brought it to the front desk for replacement or repair. Later we also noticed that the several TV channels were not operable, and there was not any internet. I had spread sheet analysis work that had a deadline. Luckily, I headed to a friend's home to complete it. When we addressed all these issues to the front desk, they noted that the internet was down, and they are attempting to repair it. That evening, we noticed that the heat was not working properly, so once again we went to the front desk, and they sent someone to our room to repair the thermostat. They left assuming success, but the next evening it was quite chilly still. I addressed all these issues with the front desk, and they stated that they could not do anything for the inconvenience. I ask them to provide me with Marriott support contact information. I am a long-standing Gold Member of Marriott Hotels that has never complained about occasional issues. But in most cases those issues are resolved by the hotel management. I am guessing that this is an isolated situation, so I hope, but I cannot ever lodge at this hotel again when I receive an answer from the front desk stating there is nothing we can do about your inconvenience.

Didn't think twice about it since I have never had any issues with hotels.com in ten years. Received 2 texts from the hotel the day before my stay confirming it, as well as phone call directly from the hotel the morning of my stay from a very nice customer service person asking me if id like to upgrade my rooms to king. We decided on not upgrading, since I requested connecting rooms and they are only available in double queen. I advised the representative that I would be arriving around 6-7 PM that evening and she said, "great, see you later!" After driving five hours to Springfield from New York with my child, I arrived at the hotel at 7PM only to be told that my reservation had been canceled. The man at the front desk spoke in single syllables, said there was nothing he could do and no manager that I could speak to. He also said he could not look and see who had called me from the hotel that morning because they don't keep records of customer service interactions or calls regarding reservations. Perhaps most appallingly, he did not offer to see if they had any rooms available for me to stay in!!!!! The only thing he could manage to accomplish during the exchange was to confirm that the phone number that called me to discuss my longstanding reservation that morning was, in fact, the hotel's phone number. This hotel left me stranded 5 hours from home alone with my child and didn't even attempt to pretend to care. I was on the phone with hotels.com for an hour in my car in this hotel's parking lot with my hungry and upset child to try to rectify this. And still- this hotel refused to help the hotels.com agent or offer any apology or recompense whatsoever. The only hotel I could find at the last minute was an hour away. I didn't check in until 10PM. What an absolute nightmare. Be careful booking here. Confirm your reservation multiple times and take down names of who you spoke to and when. And try to check in during management hours in case something does go wrong.

It is an absolute dump! About a month ago, my family and I checked into what we thought would be a decent mid-range Marriott property while waiting to close on our new home. Instead, we walked into the worst hotel experience of our lives -- a true roach motel. From the start, the first room smelled like something had died in it -- hot, sticky, and clearly unoccupied for a long time. The second room wasn't much better: dingy carpets, old stained furniture, a grimy outdated kitchenette with stained pots, and a pool so filthy that our kids got sick after swimming in it. Housekeeping was supposed to come every other day but often skipped us entirely. When they did come, some staff behaved suspiciously around our valuables. On our last day, a cleaner vacuumed one square foot of the floor, left for "lunch," then returned with a translator to yell at me from the doorway. When I called the front desk, the so-called general manager sided with the cleaner, accused us of "complaining too much," and demanded that my family -- including two elderly relatives and two children -- vacate the property immediately, even threatening to call the police. I contacted Marriott corporate expecting professionalism, but they took the GM's word at face value, offered only a refund for one day, and closed the case. No apology. No accountability. We took a video showing all the evidence to prove that our story is true. We took a video of the uncleaned room and the vacuum that wa left in our room. But none of that was taken into consideration by Marriott Corporate! Bottom line: This location is dirty, unprofessional, and downright hostile to paying guests. Marriott's corporate response showed they don't care about customer safety or satisfaction. We will never stay at a Marriott again. If you value cleanliness, respect, and basic decency -- stay far away from Marriott TownePlace Suites in Springfield, VA.

There was a continental breakfast that included eggs and waffles. Make sure to get to the breakfast early...like shortly after it starts. If you wait until 8AM or later there is sure to be a large crowd in the breakfast area and you will be lucky to get a seat. We would get there at 6:30AM/7AM most mornings. There is a Manager's Reception Monday-Thursday 5:30PM-6:30PM with $1 beers, $2 glasses of wine and free food. The rooms are decent and the beds are comfortable. The decor could use some updating but I can definitely overlook that. If I had to say anything negative it would be the pool. The pool at the hotel next door and it was very small. We had so many other things planned that we didn't have time to go to the pool anyway. Overall we had an excellent experience and would definitely stay there again.

The breakfast was very good, especially the bacon and waffles. (I skip the egg patties and go for the hard-boiled eggs.) We only stay one night and this time I was surprised there was a lady with a dog down the hall from us, but I'm learning that down here, a lot of people with pets were displaced by the hurricanes. We are in Florida right now and ignorant me, I asked another lady if there was a dog convention going on in the hotel next to one place we ate. She kindly explained to me how very many people still haven't been able to move back into their permanent residences.
