I came here for Microblading but since I have a lot of eyebrow hair Ana recommended powder brows, which is similar in process but made more sense for me personally. She walked me through what each was and how long they last, she was like an architect with tools while she was positioning the outlines, and she was easy to talk to throughout the whole process. It's only been a few days and they're still healing - which by the way she gave excellent after care instructions and everything I would need - but I love them! Cat is an artist at what she does. I had a couple of things that made me hesitant when I came in to get my brows done: what if I end up with unnatural looking brows? I have super sensitive skin with eczema, what if I have a reaction? I already have hair, what do I need anything for?!? I found Ana via Yelp. Upon my initial appointment day, I had to cancel due to some medical emergency and she was so understanding. It has happened again and she was very flexible with me. When finally I made it to my appointment I was so nervous about pain and how it will look. At first when she drew it I was a little disappointed as I couldn't imagine thick brows on myself. Thought it was too thick and pinterested a lot of Microblading photos and the initial draw up didn't look like what I'd like. This was a really nerve wrecking idea for me to attempt - I am not a permanent make up type of person. I like to be extremely natural, I wear almost no make up. Just usually rub tinted lip gloss into my cheeks! I was so afraid I would hate my new eyebrows, miss my real self, and feel inauthentic. Above all of those concerns was ending up with a brow shape I didn't like, but couldn't wash away. This is because when I went in, she talked to me about selecting a powder brow, rather than a microbladed brow (she offers both). She explained that you really should only do micro blading twice, because as you re-scar the area, cutting again, coloring again, the line becomes less distinct & individual each time. This made a lot of sense. Although I have never even tried microblading, I decided to go ahead with her recommendation and just get the powder brow from the get go. It's similar to a micro-pixelated tattoo, and has great longevity. I would only ever consider this with someone whose portfolio is as perfect and beautiful as Ana's. She has a great eye, and is supremely talented. She's also very responsive to your input. End of story, I am incredibly satisfied. The first morning I woke up and felt a terrible panic. I was certain I would hate them after a night's sleep. I rushed to the bathroom mirror, looked at myself, and thought, "Shazam! I look awesome!" And I've never looked back. I plan on regular touchups ad infinitum, every year or two, or whenever required. My brows have lost some volume over the years, but still are pretty great, so this approach looks completely natural and just the same as if I had filled them in by hand. I don't think I ever realized just what a difference great brows make on a face. I would venture to say it's the number one thing, even more important than lashes. Their friendliness was what made me really comfortable just walking around sitting on their couch waiting for the numbing cream to kick in- rarely another client there and if there is everyone is included in conversation and welcoming (only max 2 customers in total). Please don't do same as me because Ana does have a life- but I texted her at least every week asking most random questions like when I can tan and that I lost the balm to apply and what are the stages of healing again and she responded less than 5 hours I want to say each time like that's amazing in general but for a business owner it's unheard of with that response time! And the results were amazing! I had the thin over plucked brows and was worried about them being too big for me and they came out great! I can't begin to say how thrilled I am with my new brows. I had arches (both brows) that were TOO high, and were faded and thinning dramatically. Ana fixed this, and is truly as artistic as other reviews have stated. She discussed color with me (I'm 60ish and have graying hair), meticulously measured and first drew my brows on, and I pre-approved them before the actual microblading began.
