Another holiday mishap and we were without hot water. We were put in conact with ARS through American Home Shield. It was a weekend but they scheduled right away for Monday. About 7 pm, Daren Miller came and diagnosed our hot water heater as repairable but not necessarily safe once fixed. He recommended and we bought a replacement hot water heater that nigiht. He didn't leave until 10:30 pm. He made sure that the hot water was one and had already begun to heat the water. He was very professional and explained how it worked and the warranty. Today when I came home from lunch I found that my sewage drain in the basement was backed up. I called rescue Rooter and within 1.5 hours they sent over someone to give me an estimate. Daren Miller gave me a resonable estimate, was very informative and pleasant, assisted me with another plumbing need, and was a pro all the way. He is a valuable asset to the firm and if bonuses are warrented he certainly should be considered. This was an excellent experience all the way around. The response to our call was in a very timely fashion. The technician (Daren) was very professional, polite, and proficient in executing the job. He offered to survey the rest of the water system in the house for potential problems. He provided recommendations for proper maintenance. Great crew of guys! They were very knowledgeable and worked well together. I had some recent foundation work done near the site of the sewer repair. They were very aware and respectful of this. Had them come out today to clear a clogged pipe for our washer. Cornell was excellent, took the time to get it done right and tested it after for at least a half hour to make sure the water did in fact go down. Not only was he on time in the 4 hour window, he was very courteous and professional. We did get a quote from Roto Rooter and they were double the price charged by ARS. ARS replaced the sewer line to my house after we had first moved in. Two and a half years later, the cleanout had settled and needed to be lengthed as it was below the grade of the yard. I spoke with Nicole on the phone and Chris (who woked on my house originally) was out an hour and a half later; problem solved. I had a plumbing issue. Over flowing toilet and all that mess. I called them right at 8am. The employee I spoke with was very friendly and they had someone out to the house in 45 minutes. The technician was able to find the clog in the main line and snake it out very quickly. They did offer us the Drain Right product which we bought and have used. YAY! I can take a hot shower again. Daren installed a new water tank on 4/13/12 at my residence. Daren is professional, courteous and very detailed. Called this morning after Columbia Gas had to shut off gas for leak. Was given time for appt between 2 and 6. Rescue Rooter called at 240 letting me know svc tech on his way.
