We had a leak under the concrete patio- we have been wanting to repipe for years, so we thought now is the time. I looked at Yelp and narrowed it down to 4 repipe companies. The reviews for this company were so strong, they were the only one I called. Ruben answered within 10 minutes and said he could come by that evening to give estimate. He called to say he was on his way and arrived on time. He spent about 35 minutes looking it over with my husband, then gave a written estimate for whole house repipe. We talked it over and called him to start the work in 2 days. He explained exactly what would happen and how long it would take. He and his crew arrived on time and started working. At the end of day 1, they were able to connect everything except showers, so we had sinks and toilets for that night. Next day also arrived on time and worked another 8 hours- at the end of that day everything was hooked up, but he found 2 drains that leaked ( our house is 90 yrs old). He gave us a quote to replace those and came back on Monday. They fixed all the drains, did all the patch work inside and out, and completely cleaned up including putting everything back in place. Our water pressure was getting worse by the month so we finally had to take action. I started reviewing YELP and one of the companies with 6 stars was Repipe Expert . I called the company and Ruben the owner responded with a appointment the next day. He was very professional and through checking where all our water pipes and fixtures were. He gave me a estimate and after calling other companies I decided to use his. The result was excellent, Ruben and his team were professional , worked as a team , and cleaned up after each day. Ruben also noticed that our drains were very slow and noticed a tree was located on top of our main pipe to the sewer. He recommended that we also replace the drainage pipes and sure enough they found our pipes loaded with roots from a tree. Because we followed his advice we saved time and money. I bought a new 5,000+ square foot home with 6 baths that had a mixture of old galvanized and copper pipes. Due to the size and high purchase price of my home, I initially thought about going with one of the larger re-piping companies.... but was eventually turned-off by their estimate process and lack of flexibility in adjusting their quotes/projects to my needs. Repipe expert changed out our old pipes to Copper and also suggested we get rid of one of our old water heaters and to run a water line to the main house water heater. That right there saved us money in the long run and the trouble of having to service 2 separate water heaters later on. I like the fact that they did the patch work on any holes they had to open. After two water leaks in our home, we decided to replace all of the pipes. We got bids from several companies, but we were most impressed with Ruben's team. Ruben is very knowledgeable, skilled, and patient. The biggest factor for us was that Ruben himself comes on site to do the work with his team, not some other group of people. All of the other larger companies in our area will send you a great sales rep, but that person is not the one who does the work for you. Ruben is great at communicating with his clients, and that is very important. Many misunderstandings and mistakes occur because of misunderstandings between the client and the contractor. So, it was important for us to be able to communicate directly with the person who is doing the work in our house, rather than through an off-site project manager who then communicates with the workers themselves. Ruben gave me a very fair estimate and answered all my questions. One company wanted to put in a pump. Ruben said it was a waste of money because my house is small and the water heater isn't very far from any of the faucets or the dish washer and washing machine. He was right. I now have practically instant hot water. Half way through the job I became dubious because suddenly I needed something that wasn't part of the original estimate. But Ruben was right and when he showed me the pipe it was original from 1932 and really just a ghost of a pipe with a lot of crud holding it together. Yuck! Ruben and his crew finished the job on time. I am a very detail oriented person and there were a couple of visual things I wanted adjusted and Ruben did them very cheerfully. When we were looking for a company to repipe our house, which has been plagued with repeated slab leaks too numerous to mention, I looked at the Yelp reviews. It is very, very rare to see a company that has many reviews, to have ALL 5 star reviews. I was impressed by the rating and comments. We called Reuben from Repipe Expert and he quickly came out to give us a bid. He was very easy to work with and was willing to do exactly what we wanted done. His team showed up on the appointed day and did an awesome job. They all work together like a well-oiled machine. Ours was a three-day job, but we were only without water for around 9 hours on the 2nd day. They lay down canvas runners all over the house so they don't make a mess and clean up very well each day before they leave. They had to cut many holes in our stucco and walls, since they rerouted our water from under the slab up into the attic. I have to admit I was a bit worried about all of the holes - what if they were really obvious at the end of the job? Other Yelp reviews had said they did a good job on wall/stucco repair and they were spot on. The textures of the repairs blend very nicely with the old textures. Reuben even did a few extra repairs for us, because he is so nice. I was so impressed, I've already emailed my friends to tell them about Repipe Expert, just in case they need that service.
