I'm a thrift store junkie. Honestly, it's one of the first things I check out in any town. This place is packed to the gills with nice clothes, and a small selection of housewares, as well. Most of the non boutique clothing is priced at $4-5, and it gets marked down every week by an additional 25%. That's a very sweet deal! They only accept cards for purchases over $5, as I discovered when I was checking out. I didn't think I had enough cash for my purchases, and a sweet woman behind me in line offered to pay for me. The woman working the register undressed "Felicia", the window mannequin, so I could try on a breathtakingly GORGEOUS wedding dress in absolutely perfect condition. The detail in "Ms. Felicia's" dress made me question why it was only listed for $200 with the veil. (Was it itchy? Stains I haven't noticed? Fraying or beads falling off? Etc...) Unfortunately I ate way too much previous to my visit here. Lol! I couldn't suck in my gut enough to squeeze into it and bring this beautiful dress home. I googled similar dresses in the same brand and many of them sell for no less than $1200. They also had many other formal dresses in all sizes and colors for fantastic prices. Which leads back to my first question... Why such great prices?? I ended up buying several items while I was in there and the woman that cashed me out was not only good at what she does but also hilarious! I still don't even know if she's an owner of the store or an employee with an attitude of gratitude. Either way, this store made my day and also gave me hope in finding my dream dress for a much more realistic price than the boutiques I've been to with zillions of ludicrously priced, awkward fitting dresses. I just actually found out, from a review on yelp, that the items they resell are donations from our locals and resold to benefit local Memphis charities. I am actually on the way back as we speak, because I love that they give back to our community, the staff is A1, and selection was great/up to date! read more

Well organized, clean and great sales! I picked up a pair of Via Spiga boots for $10 and pair of Croc heels for $15 along with a great long dress for ballroom dancing for $10. Chaaching! The staff was on the spot with assistance and a delight! I am not a local and just visit from time to time, but always looking for these type of shopping opps! Love coming into this place when I have a few minutes free. You can find great treasures in this thrift shop. Items are priced very well that inventory is never stale and there is always some new treasure to be discovered. Store is managed by two amazing women and volunteers from the Junior League of Memphis. These women are helpful and friendly! Very cool thrift shop run by the ladies of the Junior League of Memphis. Very nice quality of merchandise....including many high end designer labels. Now I will warn you....if you tend to the chunky end of the clothing spectrum like me....you may be a bit more disappointed in your finds however if you are a 2, 4, 6 or 8...you will find lots of beautiful clothes. They have periodic themed sales and a good selection of wedding gowns and formal wear. Another big plus is the Baby and toddler clothes are beautiful as well. On another note...since the Junior League uses all their proceeds to help LOCAL Memphis charities you don't have that sinking, dirty "you are a tool being used by a corporate entity" feeling that I get whenever i go into a Goodwill store. So do like Mackelmore....get that $20 in your pocket....go pop some tags and check out this thrift store. read more

It's fun finding bargains, and my girls love to shop, so every once in a while we go "treasure hunting" at Repeat Boutique. A Junior League thrift and second hand store, Repeat Boutique has all kinds of goodies, including clothing, shoes, bags, belts, books, toys, DVDs, and more. I always sort through the children's clothes because you can occasionally find a cute boutique item at a dirt cheap price. The way that kids grow, it makes absolute sense to hunt for cute hand-me-downs at awesome prices. Ladies' suits are only $10 here, and you can sometimes find brand names like Ann Taylor, Banana Republic, Calvin Klein or Tahari. I saw a pair of Citizens for Humanity jeans there the other day for $5, and spent about 10 minutes trying to decide if I could squeeze myself into a size 26 jeans. I tearfully and reluctantly returned them to rack after deciding that no amount of stretching would make that work. Sometimes, they even have sales on the already discounted items, turning them into deep discounts. I even found a Kate Spade wallet once for a quarter. No kidding. Perfect condition. Another thing I like about this shop is that they have a maternity section. It made very little sense to me when I was pregnant to spend hundreds of dollars on clothes that I wouldn't wear for long, so I shopped here alot. This is by far my favorite resale shop in the city. They majority of the inventory is women's clothing but they also have clothing for men and children as well as shoes, home goods, and a few odds and ends. When sifting through well organized clothing racks, you will find mostly mall labels and a few "boutique" level items too. I have spotted True Religion, Radcliffe, Prada, and other high-end brands over the years. Most items are in very good condition. You will not find old, worn out stuff here. While most of the clothes are casual or business casual, it's worth noting that hey have a pretty good selection of formal and wedding dresses. The shoe selection is kinda sad because unlike the clothing, most of them are well worn. But, shoes are only 2 bucks so it's worth the hunt. There are two reason why I keep coming back to this store. One, they have lots of smaller sizes which means lots of options for me. And two, the prices are awesome. Today I picked up half a dozen button-down dress shirts for just under 20 dollars. I gave 3 stars for organization and cleanliness but lack of options in my size which is a medium. Some items were dirty and not a lot of designer brands to choose from. If you are a smaller size then this place might work better for you. Also it is November and they have not put winter coats out for sale yet, they said next week. read more

I visited Repeat Boutique for their 'Boutique Sale'. I typically look for boutique items, so I was expecting those to be on sale. I arrived and discovered their "sale" was all "new arrivals are full price." I felt very misled. I'm not sure why they advertised this is a "sale" - this should be a standard business practice. So many people turned around and left after walking in and hearing the sale. As tempted as I was to do the same, I decided just to look around. The space is small but it's pretty well organized. They don't have shopping carts - only arm baskets that reek of old pennys. If you're planning to do a huge haul, you should reconsider. I don't think shopping carts could easily fit, so that's probably why. The fitting rooms were so tiny and had 3 item limit, I decided not to even bother trying on. The staff was nice and chatted with everyone; you could tell a few regular customers were there. Their "boutique" section had everything from Forever 21 (and lots of mall brands) to Theory. Most of the items were a flat rate except for the boutique section - new with tag items were just a few dollars cheaper than the original price. I was interested in a Theory silk dress and Seven jeans but they wanted $35 each - both items had major, noticeable flaws. I would've paid $10, max. 30% of the flat priced items were crazy old mall brands with stains all down the front; I'm not sure why they even put these items on the floor. Certain color tags were discounted, but I never saw any of the discounted colors. Most of the shoes were incredibly worn down and didn't even have a size marked on them. They had a large bridal/wedding selection - more than any Goodwill. Most looked like samples and were $50-75. I tried to inspect my purchases the best I could. Holding 12 items and trying to fully inspect them was difficult - I really wanted a shopping cart. I put back a few because of holes and stains. I ended up getting 9 items for $21. Quite a few of the items were from the .50 cent sidewalk sale. The others were $5 Nordstrom-quality dresses. I got home and realized about half my purchases had minor flaws - lots of pilling, broken lining straps, missing hook-and-eye closures, loose seams, etc. Luckily, everything is repairable. I typically leave thrift stores with like-new clothing. Most things at Repeat Boutique were very well-loved. It doesn't look like they pick out the bad apples for third-world countries (like bigger thrift stores do), but try to sell them instead. I would recommend thoroughly inspecting your items before leaving. Be aware their "specials" don't mean discounts. I'll probably stop by this store every month or so. I doubt they have that much new inventory. read more

This is a really good little thrift store. Clean, pretty well organized, and the staff is super friendly and helpful. It's not as big as Goodwill, but if you're on a thrift store binge, definitely check it out. I bought several brand name shirts from here and it was nice and quiet while I did so, which is a huge bonus in a place like that. read more

This is a pretty solid thrift shop. It's clean, organized, and has a positive staff. Even better, the proceeds benefit a local organization called the Junior League which turns around and does community service within our community. My only gripe about them is the limited selection (store space is a bit smaller compared to other thrift stores in the area). I'd definitely recommend giving these guys a look! read more

Great place to find gently used goods. The Thrift store is run by the Junior League of Memphis and the Junior League members donate thier used goods to the store. There is usually a great selection and the prices are reasonable. I have purchased a couple of great leather coats from this store and got them for a steal! read more
