Actually did my loan info online and confirmed yesterday that all was good. George called me by phone and I tried to arrange a time Saturday (Today) to come see the vehicle. Ive talked to his son twice by phone prior to Thanksgiving and also on my Birthday (day before). Today was a challenge.... I had issues all morning and could not get away as planned in the morning. We were on the road when George first calked me and said there was someone looking at our car we were approved on- It was like a real slap in the face to have this guy I have never met treat me as 'second fiddle' just because I was not there earlier to beat the crowd? George had the car on his lot over two weeks, why when I was approved would anyone sell out from under you and treat you (my 765 credit score) like dirt? We were about to see a car on the way to Repeat at approximately 3:40 and since I had not heard from George we thought we would just go anyways since they were open till 6pm. Its roughly 99 minutes away, but again I was already approved for that car.... At about past Chowchilla, the owner called and said he had bad news... go figure! I guess someone in front of you with a pen in hand has more clout than one who does not- I guess money hungry people just are cutthroat and that is why we live in the world we live in- I had told him I run a childrens cancer charity and were in need, he sold out from under me even though I WAS APPROVED... I believe everything is on the wheel and he will come to his decision's one day- God bless your family, I will pray for you. If you were what you say, then what do you call yourself selling this on the day we were traveling to come see it? Now you say you would hold it? We talked on the phone, you knew WE WANTED THIS CAR , Why would you turn your back and sell it? Im just NOT understanding what you call loyal, God Fearing...... yeah right- It is completely disgusting that someone can pretend to be honest and loyal, good person until the mighty $ is waved in front of them-while lying on the phone knowing you were going to sell it to the first person that came to you today- despicable. We were desperately in need of this car and with dozens and dozens you deal with daily, you would do this to an actual honest person? This man is horrible. He knowingly sold me car that had major engine problems. Yes my fault for buying as is. Lesson learned. However I did notice some smoke coming from the exhaust and I questioned him and he deceivingly answered. He is NOT an honest man. He knew I came in there as a single mother at the time. I had a specific car I wanted to check out. When I got there, I met George and he let me check out the vehicle on my own without any pressure and didn't pressure me too bad on buying the car. They even let me test drive the car without giving my license information. The car seemed in good condition but I wanted to get it checked out by a mechanic before I committed to any purchasing. I put a refundable $100 deposit on the vehicle until I was able to come back and get it inspected. George was great and encouraged me to get it checked out, trying to prove that they stood by their products. Later that week, I only had time earlier in the morning to get the vehicle inspected so I called George and said his partner would be able to open 20 minutes before their normal business hours so I could get the van. The other salesman who helped me the next day was a younger man whom I dont remember his name. He got me out at the time I needed. The mechanic noted that the transmission fluid was grey and had metal specs, a sign that the transmission is wearing out and will need to be replaced. While there was no check engine on, metal specs in the transmission often add friction to the parts of the transmission to make it seem like there's nothing wrong. The only remedy would be a full transmission replacement that would be $3000-5000 job. I tried to negotiate a deal with the othe salesman due to this and he tried to convince me that the fluid could just be changed and that would fix the problem(it won't). I didnt purchase the car because the salesman refused to lower the price at all despite the transmission issue. The 3 stars is solely due to the younger salesman try and con me into believing the transmission wasn't an issue. I initially spoke with Randy and, in addition to letting me test drive the vehicle, he let me take the truck to the local Ford dealership to have it inspected. The dealer found a couple of minor issues and I talked to Randy about them.
