I gave them another shot since my first pick-up experience was honestly seamless and I'm glad that I did. Paul came through to rectify the mix-up which I really appreciate. I'm a firm believer in loyalty and taking care of your customers so not only do they return, but they are willing to spread the word and bring new business where deserved. I brought my vehicle to Manteca Ford Quick Lane and had a very disappointing experience with communication and follow-through. When I picked up my vehicle, it was late in the day, and the Quick Lane employee who gave me my keys said she would send me the part number and information I requested the next business day. I understood it had been a long day, so I said no problem. The next business day came and went with no follow-up. I called again and spoke with the same person, and I was again told I would receive the follow-up regarding the part and cost information related to what my vehicle needed. Once again, days went by with no email, call, or update. It ended up taking me physically driving back in about a week and a half to two weeks later just to get the part number. What made it even more frustrating was that the information appeared to already be written down and sitting near this employee's computer. As a customer, that was very disappointing because I had already followed up more than once and still did not receive the information I was told I would get. On top of that, I also tried scheduling a valet pickup/drop-off service for a recall inspection through Quick Lane. I was told they would come pick up my vehicle, but the scheduled day I was told on the phone came and went with no pickup and no call. When I called on Saturday, I was told they were closed, even though I had previously been told they would be open for servicing. I have never had a bad experience here when purchasing vehicles, which is why this Quick Lane experience was so disheartening. I expected better communication and follow-through from a dealership I have trusted in the past. As someone who works night shift in healthcare and has a busy schedule, it is a major inconvenience to have to keep chasing basic updates that should have been handled correctly the first time. Based on this experience, I would strongly recommend considering another service option for Quick Lane type work unless it is something that specifically needs to be handled by the dealership, such as a recall or dealership-specific inspection. I hope management addresses these communication and follow-up issues. read more

Tried to purchase a vehicle that they have been advertising for awhile and apparently it's not for sale. The salesman told me the owner decided to keep the vehicle for himself which makes you wonder why would it be advertised then. I guess he wants to keep the good cars for himself. And then I'm told they have another similar one that would be in soon. Refusing to sell a car when you're a dealer is one thing but to pull a bait and switch is unprofessional. I can tell the salesman was embarrassed about the situation for having to explain the owners behavior and I don't blame him. BUYER beware!!! This review is based entirely on my documented experience. I trusted Phil Waterford's Manteca Ford with my Ford Transit, a commercial vehicle my business depends on. That decision led to over a year of breakdowns, unsafe situations, and thousands of dollars in losses. The original issue was engine overheating only while towing. Instead of identifying and fixing the root cause, the dealership replaced a transmission 2x's and two engines while repeatedly assuring me the problem was resolved. After the first engine replacement, I picked up the van and noticed it had only 8 miles to empty on the fuel gauge after they had test driven it. The vehicle was returned to me without being fueled, which I found completely irresponsible. I barely made it to a gas station before running out of fuel, which is not how any customer should receive a vehicle after a major repair. Within minutes of leaving the dealership, the van shut down on the freeway. Rather than towing it, I was instructed to drive it back in limp mode. I was later charged for additional repairs that followed immediately after their engine install. The vehicle continued to experience severe power loss, overheating, and major fluid leaks. Eventually, after two engines and two transmissions, the dealership replaced the radiator -- and for the first time, the towing-related overheating stopped. This confirmed the cooling system was the issue all along. Later, the vehicle broke down out of state and was taken to another Ford dealership. That dealership documented installation-related issues and also identified exhaust/EGR components that were old, soot-covered, and reinstalled during both engine replacements at Manteca Ford, rather than being replaced. These are parts that reasonably should have been replaced during an engine replacement, especially after two separate installs. Manteca Ford has refused to reimburse me for these repair costs and other related expenses and has stopped responding to emails and messages entirely. I now have an active case open with Ford Motor Company / Ford Pro and am providing full documentation for corporate review. If you are a business owner or rely on your vehicle for towing or work, I strongly recommend servicing your vehicle elsewhere. read more

This place was a mistake from day one. The final straw is the fact they sold me a used car without a seat belt, which is AGAINST the LAW in California and they REFUSE to order and install said seatbelt. Mind you, this was a used car purchase for a teenager. Especially considering I have messaged them about this multiple times, and they've officially ghosted me. In fact they (ERIC) sent me a link to a general parts store to not only find the seatbelt myself, but apparently to buy and install it myself as well. The finance guy is a whole different issue. He was staring at his watch complaining the paperwork was taking too long. Completely rude and disrespectful. We drove over two hours after work, to which they agreed to meet with us late, then the finance guy treated like we were the biggest inconvenience. What a joke. Lastly, the engine light is already on less than two months after purchasing. Do NOT purchase from this place. I decided against buying a used vehicle off marketplace because I wanted to purchase from a trusted dealership. This was NOT IT. read more

I've had an open recall on my 2020 ford eco sport for quite some time now. Although it looks like I've been ignoring the recall notices that I've been receiving from ford on the oil pump and oil pump belt tensioner. It was my intention to get my car in and have it taken care of. Unfortunately I kept putting it off and the unthinkable happened. Yes the motor blew.. honestly I'm quite embarrassed about the whole ordeal. I took it to Phil Waterford's Ford and exotic highline. The first person I was in contact with was Preston one of the service managers at Phil Waterford's ford. within a couple of days, it was verified by their mechanics that the motor was blown. The paperwork was submitted to Ford corporation for approval to replace the motor press informed me that he also requested that some other components of the motor be replaced as well due to damage that may have occurred when the motor blew. When Preston informed me that he had asked fords approval on the other parts. It made me feel like he was looking after my best interest.. it took a few weeks, but I have today gotten my car back. I'd like to first think the Ford corporation for taking care of this for me so swiftly I also think Preston for keeping me informed of the progress on the repairs I'd also like to thank the mechanics that worked on my vehicle and getting it right and getting it back to me. I highly recommend the shop at Phil Waterford Ford in Manteca for your car care needs again thank you to everyone who is involved in the process of getting my vehicle fixed.
