An amazing business I've brought 3 cars here and every time the service is absolutely fantastic

Fantastic automotive business that is truly honest. The owner stands by their work and I trust them with all of my vehicles, my girlfriends vehicle, and my mothers vehicle as well. Back when I had a heavily modified high performance car, they were one of the only shops willing to work on it and use my own specific oil and lubricants for it. Their pricing is fantastic and fair, they don't and will never charge for something that isn't needed. I'll be continuing to use their services as long as I have vehicles that need it! read more

Precision Auto is the kind of shop you can trust and want to do business with. At the time of writing this review, they currently have 4.7 stars which totally makes sense. I stopped in to get an estimate on some work I needed done on my vehicle. The guy at the service desk advised me that the work I needed fell into the specialty shop realm. He then gave me a few names of some shops he trusted and that would be better suited to handle the work. Any shop willing to pass on business (money) in order to make sure the customer gets the appropriate service, gets an A+ in my book! I feel that kind of honesty and customer care is lacking in the automotive services these days. I will be sure to return to Precision Auto when I need other work done on my vehicle. read more

They are good people, and the job that I paid for was done correctly. However, I received my car back and my strut to the hood of my car was not working properly. I gave them 2 stars because I was not notified about it and I had to pay for the part in order for them to fix it. My hood was functioning perfectly before I went to the appointment. I would recommend them to others, but I would definitely tell them to double check everything before leaving. read more

Took my vehicle in because it had been making a knocking noise. The employees made me feel at ease, assuring me they would get to the root of the problem. It turned out to be something easily fixable and they charged me a reasonable rate to fix it. I was having problems with my car, a busted door handle, as well as my car making a rubbing noise when I steered my vehicle, and a check engine light, which turned out to be a thermostat issue. They were able to fix it and have my car running well again. The service was great, particularly Ted, and the prices were reasonable. I will do business with them in the future. read more

After reading multiple four star reviews and above, I decided to give this place a try. I needed a basic oil change and filter change for my jeep. The lady that made my appointment for me was attentive and asked relevant information to get the parts ahead of my appointment. When I arrive my appointment all the staff were super friendly and professional. I am giving this place four stars instead of five stars for two reasons 1) I never leave a five star review on my first interaction with a business. The business has to earn the fifth star. 2) I understand they had to empty my glove box to get to the end, cabin air filter, professional, courtesy with dictate. They put the contents back in the glove box and not leave it in the front passenger foot. read more

I took my vehicle to Precision for years and had no problems. However,it I took in in as I had a coolant leak. They told me it needed a new exhaust manifold. But none were available from their supplier and they will not install one I would buy. That I should buy a new car. I'm on disability like that's going to happen. I had it towed to another shop in town. They had it back to me in two days. It was not the exhaust manifold it was the thermostat. Precision can not be trusted anymore! read more

I was recently stranded in Manteca 45 minutes from home, 108 degree day, and my serpentine belt was shredded. They took care of me even though they said they were completely booked up for the day. They said the work only took the mechanic a few minutes so they didn't charge me for labor and had me back on the road within a couple hours. read more

March 1, 2023 I took my vehicle a Nissan Ultima, or a vibration in the engine and a air conditioner, intermediate function. I was unable to find any codes in the diagnosis so I went the next day to pick up the car. The owner came out, went over it with me, was very gracious, and said the problem with the AC came back to bring it back in. I was on a road trip from Sacramento to Arizona on Friday when I had car trouble on the freeway in Manteca. I pulled over and after searching on Yelp, Precision came up as top of the list. So I drove over to the shop about an hour before the shop opened at 8am. About a half hour before opening, Raj started opening the bay doors and moving cars out to get ready for the day. I explained my situation and asked if he could help me out. He said they were short-staffed with a packed schedule, but he would try to squeeze me in. About 15 minutes later, Jennifer checked me in and invited me to wait inside, even though they were not officially open yet. Within the hour Raj had diagnosed the issue to be the spark plugs and a bad coil. I approved the repair and he ordered the parts. About an hour later I was back on the road and a very happy customer! I cannot say enough great things about Precision. First from my phone call to book my appt Rockee was amazing. She took the time and asked lots of questions, even emailing me a list of things they could do to diagnose a used car I just bought. Other places I called just wanted to book an appt and rush me off the phone. Then when I get there Mike helped me. He was very patient and kind. He even took a moment to chat with my young son and shake his hand. I thought with what my car was doing it was going to cost a fortune. Mike called me a few hours later with great news it was just a small fix less than $200. He didn't try and sell me more that I didn't need. He was even relieved for me that it wasn't a big problem. We have been using precision for the last 9 years. This place is the best. They only recommend what's needed, and every time I brought a car in that needed to be fixed they diagnosed it correctly. My husband is the one that usually takes our car for maintenance. We take both of our cars here for regular synthetic oil changes. The staff have always been nice. Be sure to make an appointment and/or call before coming in that way you don't wait around for awhile. Clean shop and waiting area. I would definitely recommend this shop for regular auto work. We haven't had to do any major repairs yet and wouldn't be able to comment on that, but I'm sure they would have excellent work! read more

After talking with Ted on the phone for a quote (great price by the way)I took my truck in. I notice door was locked. I saw sign that said out to lunch from 12:00 to 1:00. I peeked into there garage and asked if I could just drop off keys. One of the mechanic called Ted an Ted was glad to help me during his lunch break. He could of told me to come back in an hour but he took my info, my keys and a couple hours later called me back that my trucks fixed. Customer service at its finest.
