A Big Shout Out to Ted and the guys at Precision Automotive. Our Truck had an Issue with a knocking sound. Took my parts to do a Tune Up. Ted Called on July 17th with bad news. We needed a Remanufactured Engine from Jasper, Great Company. Told us to sleep on it. On July 18 Called at 11:45 to tell him to put the engine in our truck. Now, on July 19th, we needed something out of the Truck so we stopped by. There on the floor was our new engine. And today, at 2:45 Ted called and said to come pick up our truck. What, Now Way your done. Yep Done, Ted even replace a lot of other stuff with new parts. Hoses, Water Pump, he took nothing to chance. I am so stoked about this. Best auto repair experience I've ever had. I had another shop tell me I needed to replace the rear and front rotors and pads on my car and quoted $1100 total. I got several quotes from local repair shops and Precision was the least expensive by about $75 per axle. Decision made. On top of that they told me I had life left on my front rotors and pads they didn't need to be replaced. Then they gave me a discount for being a first timer "Yelp" discount. They're also genuinely nice. So in summary, the least expensive by a not insignificant amount, honest, and friendly all things that can be tough to find in auto repair shops. They are under new ownership and got the coolant service and they didn't even fill it enough my car kept giving me the error and when I took it to the dealership, they told me it was because my car did not had enough coolant. Came here a few months ago based on the yelp reviews. I came back today because my car was due for an oil change AND because of how this company is. Very professional staff and their hospitality is like no other. You can tell they get along with anyone just because of how friendly they are. My car uses synthetic oil and this place is cheaper than other places I have gone to with synthetic oil. I would have given these guys 5 stars 2 years ago,but they have gone downhill badly. They used to have a guy Rick who appears was the manager and things went wonderfully in those days: good service, reasonably priced. The last time I went these they trashed out my car: when I got the car back, the cruise control and antilock brakes no longer worked - even though my service call was for neither, just a simple service call. I have never experienced such excellent care and service as I received from Precision Automotive in Manteca. I broke down on a Sunday while on a trip and was stranded. I left a message for 3 different shops. They were the only one that called me back and got me in for emergency repair. They diagnosed and repaired my car within a few short hours and drove me around town so I could find entertainment while I waited. Not only did they repair my auto, it hasn't run this good in years. They used high quality parts and added additional parts for extra measure. They were so gracious and very concerned about getting me back on the road so I could continue my trip safely. I highly recommend them and my only complaint is that they are not located in my home town. Plus they give a 10% discount on labor for Auto Club members and a coupon for free towing. So I went and this company is very professional and do take care of their customers. I was given a quote for the work I needed done and they said if they didn't have to repair or replace some things it would come in less. I was recommended to Precision Automotive by a coworker. I had called asking to make an appointment the week before Thanksgiving, and they explained that they were booked with appointments. The owner said he would hopefully be able to squeeze my car in after telling them that I was borrowing a car from my parents and they needed it back as soon as possible. I had my car back within just a few days. He went over everything that was going to be done to my vehicle, and put it in terms that I would understand. :-) Also, the estimate they have gave me was exactly the price I paid. I spoke to three different people over the phone, and all of them had excellent customer service and were quick to getting back to me with any questions I had. Took my truck here for a simple oil change. Turned into a 4 hour ordeal with an over hyper little guy who said he was the owner making excuse after excuse, then telling me that my truck needed a new water pump! I mean REALLY? I have a 1990 F350 that I bought about a year ago and had nothing but problems with it. I have a few of these trucks and am usually able to fix them for the most part. One day I had no power at all and I couldn't figure it out. I took it in to Precision and they had it fixed within a couple of days. Now the truck runs better than it ever has and I am really happy with the service. I have used Precision a few times and have always had great service. Extremely happy to have found Precision! Everyone knows how difficult it is to find a good mechanic or shop for your cars and finding a good one is a big deal. I tried two other shops down the road from Precision and wasn't really happy about them. I took my car in for service and they did a great job, the price was very fair, and the customer service was excellent. To me you can be the best in the world at something but if you don't have the customer service you're doing it wrong. Early bird drop off for my appointment at 8am. I was able to drop off my keys in a slot with my car information and it was taken care of by my lunch time. I had an oil change and inspections as well as tire rotation. The staff is super friendly. They call and confirm your appointment and always very pleasant.
