Long overdue review. About 7-8 months ago I went in due to mass air flow sensor issue in my Audi A6. I assumed it was going to cost me since parts are 150+ and labor. Carlos called me in, told me all they had to do was tighten a loose clamp, problem solved! Once I asked "how much do I owe", he said NOTHING! There was no issues with the car, just a loose clamp that took 30 seconds to tighten. I was MIND BLOWN. I truly appreciate your honesty Carlos and team! Carlos was great. I had my car towed in to see if it needed a new engine as I was being told by another mechanic. He checked it out in a timely fashion, sent me a video of the issue and was able to get it fixed quickly. It did not need a new engine! Customer service is usually pretty lacking when dealing with mechanics. Here at LE Auto, they communicate 100% of the time, they texted every step of the way during getting my daughters car serviced for brakes and rotors. AND they were super fair with the pricing. Definitely a nice experience, they explained everything at the end so I knew what they did and how they did it. They even showed me the old parts that they removed and asked me if I wanted them. I brought my SUV in for a check engine light diagnostic and left with a SUV without a check engine light. Fortunately, LE Automotive had time for me to bring in my car without an appointment. My car had several problems, and I felt the staff were honest and transparent each step of the way. I was given an engine light diagnostic for free before I decided on fixing my brakes, which I did. Luby (co-owner) let me decide on two options to try to resolve the check engine light: Go buy and replace a faulty fuel cap with one straight from dealership (probably needed to resolve the brake light issue anyway) or do a costly smoke test that might not resolve anything. She recommended I do the former first, which saved me money in the end. I had my front brake pads, back brake pads, and brake drum replaced. After all that, more fault codes popped up, which led to spark plug replacements (paid for parts straight from store) and distribution cap & rotor replacements (paid for parts straight from store). The co-owner(s) and mechanic could have charged me for the latter plug, cap, and rotor replacements on top of the original charge for brake replacements, but each time I offered to pay, I was told that it was okay. I wasn't expecting this level of service from such kind folks. Over two days, I had a chance to interact with both Luby (co-owner) and Miguel (mechanic) who were both very professional, courteous, and informative. I really appreciate the service from the team and for them getting me back on the road with my 2001 SUV that I've had for 14 years now. read more

Way over priced. Was charged twice for basically the same thing, it was just worded differently the second time on the receipt. Ok so let me unpack this. I've been going to Guzman automotive (now called LE automotive) for years on and off. They do a job and there are zero issues in particular with my Nissan rogue. I haven't had any auto issues for a few years, when my back passenger tire started making noise. i was going to take it the Carlos but we have a shop mechanic at our work that said he can do it for cheap. Btw it was to replace an axle and the rear differential. He does the job, I get the car back and now the engine is making noise. Take it back to our shop mechanic and without even looking under the hood says its the catalytic converter. Told me there will soon be a engine light that will say an O2 error. I took his word for it because he's our shop mechanic. Part was 2k from Stockton dealership. He competes that job, i get the car back and the noise is still there. I asked him why the noise was still there. He said he didn't hear it. 2 days later engine is done. Enough. I know at this point I put so much money into it but didn't want to walk away from it so I got an engine from LKQ and had LE auto put it in. No issues. The differential started to go back from the install from the ship mechanic. I had LE auto do a replacement. No issues. The point of this story is trust. You want a mechanic you can trust and LE automotive has never let me down. any work that I had done, Carlos will have me come out when the car is up and even point to the problem. Terrible service here! All this guy wants is your money. He supposedly fixed a problem in my truck because it was leaving oil and 2 weeks later I took it back telling him it's still leaking. He said ok he'll check it, he called the next day saying there was no leaking. Again I took it today because it says he's open and my driveway is full of oil. I get there it's closed I call him and he gives this attitude saying he's closed and he'll be open on Monday I ask what time and he again replied with attitude saying he doesn't have a schedule so he'll be there when he gets there. read more

Hey Guzman's gave me the best estimate in town and replaced my timing belt and kit, within 2 days! I picked my Camry up and all looked great. Approximately 3 weeks later I found a coolant leak and took it back, they said to give them a few hrs which I did, they called 3hrs later and said it was fixed. Turned out to be the thermostat housing seal which they did not touch when they done the timing belt, but they repaired it anyway and didn't charge me a dime! Great service and very good mechanics. Other repair shops were a 1-3 week wait before even looking at my car or a diagnostic fee that would not apply to my services. Lube was very nice and knowledgeable. They changed all of my spark plugs and coils and I got my car the next business day at a reasonable price. Don't do it, SCAMMERS. I gave this guys chance to fix a misfire on my Ford Expedition. He pretended to be knowledgeable, until he called with the price. This guy tried to triple charge for parts, not only that. He said he COULDNT GUARANTEE that it would FIX the problem?? I priced original parts from the Ford dealer way cheaper than what his desk lady/wife quoted me. I asked if I can get the parts and have them do the work. At this point his wife said they didn't have time for that, and that I should go somewhere else. That was the best advise, took it to a real legit mechanic shop in town that fixed it for free in 15 mins. Just had a dirty fuel injector. So again stay AWAY from this place. Over charged us for replacing bulbs ( bought our own brand new bulbs) no tire rotation and now our car has no headlights at all. Carlos, the owner wasn't there.. Dishonest scammers! Took my car here for a routine checkup thinking they would be honest. Before this it had worked fine. The owner said it would be ready in a couple days then kept my car for 2 weeks, wouldn't answer most of my calls, and kept saying something new was wrong each time. At one point, said they lost the suspension. They didn't. Racked up a bill over $1,000. Finally went with a friend who knew cars. Waited an hour until they came back from lunch at 2:30. The owner tried to lie and said the car needed X part but it would be expensive because they stopped making it. A quick google search revealed the part was not discontinued and it was cheap to replace. Once caught in his lie, he tried to keep the car longer. Drove it home and it stopped working a few blocks from my house. Will not be going back there again. Only sad they cost me over $1,000 to lie and not fix the problems they made to begin with. read more

My husband came here to have his 2006 Mustang GT looked at because there were a couple of leaks. They informed him that his car was leaking differential fluid from the rear pinion seal, so they replaced the pinion seal...when they replaced it, my husband's car began making a strange clanking/grinding noise. The owner, Carlos, informed my husband that it was due to the differential fluid being low and causing the gears to grind....we took his car to a tranny shop in Stockton who replaced a seal and said that the grinding noise was because Carlos had left the pinion seal loose...perhaps on purpose...The other shop, A & A Transmission, tightened it and the noise went away....Carlos charged my husband a ridiculous amount of money for a shotty job and refused to refund any of the money...stay away from this shop....the front desk NEVER answers their phone either...they are supposed to carry the cordless around and they never do....overall, a terrible experience... BUYER BEWARE....will be writing a review on the BBB site too. read more

Update: I called 5 minutes before I came. Lady that answered said no wait for an oil change. I arrive and I stand in front of the front desk with nobody there. Stood there about 7 minutes according to a reply from the business, as if 7 minutes of waiting makes it ok? As a business owner myself, if it took my employees 7 minutes to acknowledge a customer I would find that totally unacceptable. There's a guy working in the garage but doesn't even acknowledge me. I walk in, he sees me come in and says nothing. According to the business owner I should've waived down the technicians in the garage whom were busy. That's not my job to whistle down somebody who just seen me walk in and ignore me. He obviously "too busy". Why have a front desk and not have anybody there? I am appalled by the response from this business. I would've upgraded or deleted my rating had they just simply apologized instead of looking back on their camera system to calculate Exactly how many minutes I was there trying to justify their lack of customer service.
