It has been a while since I have been here. My buddy and I have been talking about coming here, and tonight was the night. The place was pretty busy when we got there but only had to wait about 15 minutes not to bad. Our server was Kendra, who was excellent. We ordered up cheese bread and a Large Pizza with Pepperoni, Mushroom with black olives on half. The pizza was delicious, and the cheese bread was good. I love the decor. Neighborhood bar. Not a dive but not a trendy pub. Private lot off a busy road. Inside is a bar, large front area. Nothing special. Affordable beer, drinks, and pizza. Nothing is great but it is okay to good. Sports TVs. Many people have been going here for years, family tradition. If you don't live around here it is not worth a special trip, if you do it is an affordable pizza and beer night. read more

Went here on a Tuesday after work for quick drinks and some food. Got here right at 5pm and place was already decently packed with people. It is seat yourself, so we decided to sit on the patio. Nice patio with a dozen or so tables outside. Inside is pretty dark but decor was nice and restaurant was clean. Our waitress was fast and friendly. Tuesday select pints are only $3.00, so my friend and I both took up this special. The menu was bigger than I thought the menu would be and also had a lot of options. I ordered a cup of mac and cheese and a side salad ($3.00). The salad was a good size but very basic and was mostly iceberg lettuce, practically white lettuce rather than greens. Toppings and dressing were good but I would suggest adding more dark greens to the salad. My mac and cheese literally came out bubbling with cheese baked on top of the noodles. It was excellent and delicious. One of the better mac and cheeses I have had! The cup was filling as well. Checks came quickly and no issues cashing out. Left around 5:50p and the place started to fill out a lot more. Would definitely come back to try more drinks and food! read more

Omg if you have never been here do yourself a favor and stop in for lunch or dinner!! This is a cozy bar/restaurant in downtown clawson. You will not be disappointed! It is a fun and inviting atmosphere. They have a patio outside as well. All staff were wearing masks and customers were who were not seated at their tables. Tonight I tried their cheese bread and pizza and let me tell you it was amazing!! It was my first time having their cheese bread and I love it! They are known for their pizza and I can see why! Everything was cooked perfectly!! I've been here several times before but this is the first time since covid. I feel they are taking all necessary precautions to keep their customers safe. I have to admit that this place is my guilty pleasure. Every since I came here my very first time I have been back at least once a week to indulge! My favorites so far have been: -All of the calzones (especially the Italian!!!) -Mac and cheese -Chicken tender pita -Breadza, onion rings, and mini tacos -chicken tacos The food is inexpensive, good quality, and large portions. Came here with three people; my boyfriend, sister, and brother-in-law on a Sunday night. It was filled with people and heard good things. Pool is free to play and they also have darts. I'm so glad this bar is still open during COVID-19. They are requiring there guests to wear mask when up and moving. Once you are seated you can take it off. All workers/bartenders were wearing masks. There food is excellent for bar food ! If you have never been here you are certainly missing out ! They have a patio and they always have a white tent out back! So if you aren't comfortable being inside there is always outside options! Staff was very attentive and friendly!!! Just stopped in from out of town for something to eat. This place has amazing food and a variety of beers on tap along with a great selection of whiskey/ bourbons. Renshaw is the most happening bar in Clawson on a Saturday night. Most of the area is quiet and family oriented so seems like a sleepy dead city on a Saturday night but when we came to Renshaw, they were packed and bumper to bumper with patrons. Crowd seemed young mostly mid to late 20s. It has a sports bar feel and is a pretty large bar with pool tables, a couple pinball machines in the back, and a jukebox. They had a good variety of music playing there from Lizzo to Tom Petty. When they played Take me Home, Country Road, the whole bar started singing along. There's tons of seating at the bar, lots of tables and chairs and a booth that runs the length of one wall. They had a decent selection of tried and true fave craft beers on tap like Shorts Soft Parade, and Griffin Claw Mr. Blue Sky. On Saturday nights from 10 - 11 pm they have a power hour and when a siren light flashes all well drinks and domestic bottled beer is only $1. I had a rum and coke and it was a decent size and decently strong for $1. The second one I ordered, I'm pretty sure was still before 11 but I still got charged full price which was only $3.50. The food menu is mainly bar/pub food like pizzas, calzones, and burgers. My friend ordered the French onion soup and liked it. I had the chips and salsa but the chips were so greasy and over fried that they were brown in color so needless to say, I wouldn't order them again. Prices are all pretty reasonable and they have lots of deals going on through the week and weekend like half off appetizers between 3-9 on Wednesday and $3 Jack Daniels all day, drink specials on Thursdays, and $3 green tea shots, and $3 Michigan pints and Tito's on Tuesday. Service was good. Even though they were crazy busy, we were served very quickly and checked on frequently throughout our visit and our sever was very friendly and helpful. read more

My friends and I have been coming here for a few years now and it's amazing! Relaxed crowd, lots of TV's to watch the game, Pool, pull tabs, and always great music playing on the jukebox! Which is great, it's a nice place to go to with friends for a few drinks or bar food The service was great, once we found a table the waitress got to us pretty quickly even though she had a pretty full section. I love Renshaws because you can come here with your buddies for a few beers and some pizza or you can come with your girlfriend for a nice dinner and drinks, or you can belly up to the bar, or you can bring your parents here. Ok, after my last visit many moons ago, I admittedly have to update my review. I was in town visiting family for the holidays and decided to stop in after being alerted of the new management takeover at Renshaw's. The previous lack of good service here was consistently my only reason from avoiding this place, so I was really hoping for a change. I stopped in with my guy and my cousin the day after Christmas for some much needed beers and breadzza. We came in for lunch and the place was semi busy, but not too crazy. Our waitress came over immediately and took our drink order. She was very friendly and brought out our drinks quickly. She then took our order, which then came out maybe 15 minutes later. Plus, the waitress brought out extra dipping sauces for us without me even having to ask. I was super impressed! I am so happy that Renshaw Lounge has finally made a change for the better. They've always had good food and beer choices, but the newer and friendlier staff made the whole experience so much better. I will definitely be back. read more

I'll admit it. I kind of love this place. It's sort of like a suburban Cheers during the day and then allegedly turns into a hipster haven at night (I wouldn't know first hand, I only ever go during the early evening). The prices are more than reasonable. $2 drafts (23 oz I believe?) all the time of some yellow fizzy beers and affordable pours of craft beers as well. There are a bunch of taps to choose from here as well. They are admittedly a bit skewed toward the IPA side of things and they don't rotate their offerings as much as some places more known for being craft beer bars. But I'm not complaining. The food is also reasonably priced. Better quality than would be expected from a typical townie dive bar as well. Allegedly excellent pizza. I had a club sandwich, a really good one at that, and it came with chips and a fresh-baked cookie and only cost about $4. Have some drinks and a bite to eat, play some keno, watch the game, make some friends, watch creepy old day drinkers awkwardly hit on the waitresses and bartenders. There's a lot to love at Renshaw. Stop in and good luck finding a seat at the always-crowded bar... even though the bar is freaking HUGE and must have a couple dozen barstools. Enjoy! read more

This place is great! It's such an easy place with a variety of food! I love that their sandwiches come with cookie. Everyone who works here is so down to earth and easy going. It's fast and easy! Renshaw Lounge also has some great specials depending on the days you go! I've typically gone with a big group after a sporting event. Renshaw's is so accommodating! We normally just push a few tables together, no big deal! I LOVE their pizza. It's the first place I had ever had a spinach and artichoke pizza before. I've gone back just for that!!! Renshaw's is a laid back bar and a good place for groups. The crowd is fairly mixed, which is not bad thing as it can make for good people watching. The alcohol selection is pretty standard as are the prices during non happy hour or "specials". The menu has a good variety with standard bar food. I like the breadzza, which is half pizza, half cheese bread. The salads are large and , at least in the case of the antipasto, the unhealthy bar variety. The other appetizers I have tried are pretty standard. I was not a fan of their nachos and would avoid them in the future. read more
