Went there for dinner sat at the bar staff barely looked at us.. there were 3 of us I ordered the smash burger extra sauce it came with no sauce they told me to check both patties. 2 of us were done eating and the other still didn't get our food but they took care of us with a gift card so we will give them another chance. read more

Food is awful. The prices are way too high. I ordered a Mediterranean Bowl and received a 1/8 filled bowl of cucumber dices and tomatoes with a miniscule amount of humous. Paid $24 with added grilled chicken for $5 that was burnt and small in portions. Total ripoff! Only the natural view and drinks (which are also over priced) makes this place acceptable. Service is fair... I actually feel bad for the waitresses and waiters that have to serve substandard plate of food from an obviously incompetent kitchen. For good advice - go to Bobby Mac's Bayside down the road for dinner / food which is excellent and priced reasonably. read more

I have been to Cabana Blue several times since they've opened, and the main highlights are the gorgeous lake views, live band entertainment, and their cocktails. During the night of my most recent visit, I realized that the kinks that I thought were from when they first opened, have clearly not been worked out as they've grown popularity. I really want to like this place, and I'm glad they are busy, but unfortunately their parking lot is not suffice for their volume of summer/boating traffic and the wait times for higher priced, subpar food does not make it worth the almost 40 minute drive for me. Our quoted wait time was 35 minutes, which turned into 1 hr 10 minutes. Once we were seated, I ordered the Cayla Club (my friends ordered wraps as well) and our food took over an hour to come out. Mine was supposed to come with avocado, which it did not have, and at this point our waitress hadn't come back to check on us so we had to flag someone down for our bill. I didn't even bother to ask about the avocado because we were very hungry and eating dinner at 9:30p (arrived at 7p) but for $17 for a basic wrap, I was disappointed and can't say I have plans to return for the food. Overall, this would be a spot for a before dinner drink and sit on the back terrace area on the Adirondack chairs listening to the music but be sure to pack your patience because it gets very busy. read more

What a location, what a view. They really modernized this bar and in the summer there are some great seats overlooking the bay. They have lots of parking and a long dock but it fills up fast (especially on the weekends). The food is excellent, lots of drinks choices, but the specialty drinks are small and pricey. I have them 2 stars, those were both for location. They sent a waitress home because she was over on hours. This left us to suffer. Burgers were okay but undercooked. I ended up being very ill that evening. We waited forever for our drink order. Drinks came AFTER entree was finally brought out. I won't be back. The location and view are awesome but the waitress was pretty drab and never filled our waters. I was there with a family member and we both got the fish taco dinner and it was actually very tasty and the portion size was good. I asked for a carryout container because I was bringing home about 1 1/2 tacos and the waitress brought over a carry out box the size of a fist so my taco, not even one taco, would fit in there. When I found our waitress, I asked if I could get a larger carryout container and she seemed very bothered by my request. We also got the salmon dip appetizer, and that was absolutely delicious. I got the fish broiled and the other meal had fried fish so we had that option. The fish tacos come with coleslaw on them so they're a bit messy but they were very delicious. read more

First time here and it won't be the last!!! We boated there..it was during the week, so it was not busy and very easy to tie up right outside. Great views and decor..definitely the Lake Life attitude!! The food was excellent! The brisket tacos and the hamburger was fresh, hot and very well made. This was our second visit, and it didn't disappoint. If you're looking for a spot with a great view, this is it absolutely beautiful! The tiki bar, outdoor patio, and lawn seating create an amazing atmosphere. Service was friendly and efficient. Our food was ordered and delivered quickly. You can't go wrong with the chicken wings, Joe's Smash Burger, and fish and chips. Everything was delicious! I do wish the menu had a few more options, but overall, it was a great experience. Labor Day. Few restaurants on Lake St. Clair were open. The parking lot was very full. I set my expectations to "low" as I expected the service to be overwhelmed. I was wrong. Fully staffed. Short wait. Attentive and speedy bar and table service. Whoever is running this operation knows the business. Adam was a terrific server. Good anticipation and teamwork by the staff. Too noisy; geared to less mature crowd. Food is ordinary and basically more expensive compared to the quality in other nearby places. It's a good place to take visitors from out of town for a one-time experience. A great destination in the bay for boaters who don't know where else to go. We really like it here and have come via land and boat. I think its important to have realistic expectations when coming to a place like this. First, it's on the water and has boat access so you can expect it to be extremely busy on weekends and holidays in the summer. You will likely have to wait for a table and your food longer than usual. We noticed that they have rolled out a weekend limited menu for summer. That menu features burgers, sandwiches, salads, chicken tenders, tacos and a few appetizers. Makes sense to keep it simple so food goes out faster. I appreciate they have a gluten free menu which includes a GF bun, GF flatbread, corn tortillas for tacos and several entrees. I really enjoyed the spicy chicken sandwich, so good. The views here are killer, so absolutely beautiful. The tiki bar, outdoor patio and lawn seating are amazing. Keep in mind the tiki bar is cash only but the inside bar takes credit card. What a find! 15 min down the road- I had no idea! Met a friend for din din who suggested #CabanaBlue. It's right on Anchor Bay and even though the weather was not gr8, it was still a beautiful view on the water. They have indoor/outdoor seating, a nautical theme and the friendliest, most efficient wait staff ever! The menu is wide and varied. Lots of choices from burgers to salads to seafood...speaking of that, I noted immediately that they have an Ahi appetizer! Seeded and peppered, sides of soy sauce, wasabi and ginger- what's not to love? I ordered that with a side Caesar salad. It was incredible. My friend ordered the fish and chips; the generous order of fries are thin, with skin and crispy. Fish was crisp and breaded. More big yums! There is music on Tuesdays from 4:30-7:30. Susie is absolutely incredible doing her #CheekyTiki thing. Her choice of songs was outstanding; so much talent: singing and keyboarding! It was a huge plus to have her there. (We even got a couple dances in!) Lauren, our server, was a gem! She checked on us regularly and everything was delivered quickly and with a smile. I'll be back. Thank you all so much! read more

If you want a beautiful place on the water, with fresh air and one of the nicest restaurant views in the Detroit Metro area, Cabana Blue is the place to go. An excellent menu with a particularly tasty food selection but nothing fancy, simply great tasting. They have the Hudson' Maurice Salad on the menu and for those who remember Hudson's restaurant the salad is the closest to Hudson's I have had in a long time. Their beer and wine selection are particularly good and the specialty bar drinks are well prepared. From the greeting at the door to service at the table they do an excellent job. Do not know what it will be like come winter and the lake freezes over but it must be beautiful. read more

Parking can be a bitch too, especially on the crowded weekends. Many people were wearing casual beach wear, some in bathing suits, many women were clearly looking for a rich boater (hint: good luck, this is the land of muskrat men belching Pabst Blue Ribbon). Foodwise? For $19 we got chicken fingers straight from the food service frozen section, the french fries were surprisingly bad (cold & oddly stale). The $13 smash burger was very good. Go earlier for a decent summer lunch without the insane evening crowds. read more

I had the sliders and they tasted and appeared to be a prepared, pre-formed patty - grayish in color, no flavor, if I had to guess it would be the way a frozen patty would come out if cooked in the microwave. My husband had fish tacos (mahi mahi) and said they were just okay, on the bland side. It was a 45 minute drive for us - we'd do it again in a heartbeat for the views and ambiance, the food...not so much! read more

My wife and I took our 4 kids to Cabana Blue for lunch on July 4th. The service was excellent. Food and cocktails tasted great and came to the table faster than expected for a busy restaurant. My husband and I tried Cabana Blue for the first time on our date night and could not have been more impressed! We arrived on a Monday at about 6 PM and there was no wait at all, despite the parking lot being packed. We were promptly seated outside (we requested to sit outside) and had the most beautiful view. The weather was perfect; we had sunshine and a breeze on the beautiful lake. My husband and I ordered drinks and ordered our own entrees and salads. He chose the chicken tenders with fries and a side salad while I had the BBQ chicken flatbread and a side Caesar salad. We both thoroughly enjoyed our salads (my husband commented that the ranch dressing was AMAZING) and entrees. Service was fantastic. Our waitress was quick, thorough, and wonderful. The staff promptly cleaned our table each time that we had something ready to be removed from the table. Staff were very friendly. A table seated close to us had a large party, which the staff were very accommodating to. We could not have picked a better restaurant for our date night and I highly recommend Cabana Blue. read more
