I FINALLY had the opportunity to take my friend who came to visit me for lunch on a Saturday, since they open at noon on Saturdays. VERY happy I got to try this place. They have such a nice menu, different items you don't see too often as well as some of your typical bar style food BUT with a twist. What we both like is everything on their menu is prepared fresh, made to order, which a lot of places these days don't really do (even tho they say they do). I got their seafood bowl with shrimp on a bed of wild rice, with pickled onions (I put the cucumbers & avocado on the side because I don't eat them, which my friend ended up eating & she said was really tasty) & I thought it was flavorful & delicious. My friend got their Caesar salad with grilled chicken, she said it was fabulous. And she got one of their burgers to go, for her husband, which came with hand cut fries (yes, we tried some & they were delish!). And both our meals were beautifully presented too. Our server was pleasant as was the chef who came out to socialize with us. Unfortunately, they weren't busy, which is sad, because this place really is a little hidden gem in the small town of Marysville. They don't have a roadside sign or anything on their building front that's viewable from Gratiot, which was one of the things I mentioned to the chef & he told me they're working on getting one. Good to hear, because I'm sure that would bring a LOT more business in. The only reason I even knew about it was mentions on social media, otherwise, I'd never know it existed, which really is a shame because they have such a nice menu. Didn't have any beer or cocktails, because I'm not a beer drinker & my friend isn't a cocktail gal. I'm really looking forward to going back, especially now that that awful Gratiot construction is DONE, which I'm sure had a negative impact on a lot of those businesses on that stretch of Gratiot.

The wait staff was nice and attentive but didn't get our wine order correct to start off the night. That was a disappointment and their menu had changed from previous years also. I kept the second glass and said it is OK if she charged me for it as I did drink it. My husband finally got his red wine. We decided to try the fried gnocchi appetizer, which was actually very delicious and hot. Unfortunately, the ravioli came and it just felt like it was reheated. The sauce was not hot, the ravioli seemed made from frozen and was barely lukewarm and we just didn't feel comfortable eating it for food safety reasons. We sent it back, but there was no other menu item in which we wanted to try because they already have very limited vegetarian options. They got rid of most of their flatbread pizzas, which they call padinas and now make them with a tortilla crust. That just did not sound appetizing so we ended up just finishing our appetizer and salad and we left. The overall vibe of this restaurant is good and has nice decor and a very intimate space. I don't think we'd come back for the food but the wine here is pretty good. Very sad as we feel they have gone downhill since their start. Might be a while before we return.
