Husband asked what beers were on tap and there was only one, thankfully one he liked. We tried to order a charcuterie board and they were out. We ordered calamari and garlic dough knots for an appetizer and the dough knots were pretty good! When we ordered the meals they all came out staggered and the one year olds came out many minutes after the first meals and it was the first one ordered. The kids meal (grilled chicken and mashed potatoes) was suppose to come with applesauce and we had to ask for it again and they said they were out so he got a yogurt instead (he didn't know the difference, but I could see how this could upset a kid). The chicken was good but the mashed potatoes were very bland even for a kids meal. I ordered a beyond burger with cheese and it came with no cheese (they took it back and brought it back with cheese). We had to ask several times for ketchup and mustard for the burgers. My burger was very dry and needed some kind of sauce or mayo. The truffle fries are an $8 add on, which is very pricey to me. They were good but not worth $8 more. Husband got the fish and chips and said they were ok. We both ended up with stomach aches after we got home. The outdoor area was fun, especially for the kid.

This was our 2nd time here in the last month and surprised there were no reviews yet! This place is…read morefantastic (reservations are a good idea) - the food excellent, great service, good selection of local craft beer. Chef creates some mouth watering daily specials - this night it was the "summer salad" or " herb crusted French cut pork chops" - both delicious. Will add some pictures. They have both inside and outside dining area (screened in) - not right on river, but it's very visible close by. Sombra may not have a lot to offer, but Rum Runners definitely makes the trip worth it!

My first visit and I was excited to try the Korean Pork Belly Bahn Mi - anything with pork belly!…read moreIgnoring the faux pas that bahn mi hails from Vietnam rather than the stated Korea, I was hopeful. What a disappointment! I was served a 6" soft bun with a mere 1/2" of something inside. Pork belly which is the advertised main ingredient was more like pulled pork and it was shredded to smithereens. I could not detect any pickled vegetables nor spice that you'd expect. Cucumber pieces were evident as was the cilantro and garlic mayo. I opted fo forgo the fries and had the soup which was Tomato Basil - tasty but accompanied with the cellophane soda biscuits one expects at a cheap diner. The saddest part was the price of $19. Nothing in this meal warranted that. It was a $10 sandwich at best. Adding insult to injury would be to swap out the fries for a salad for an additional $5. A bit steep compared to most other restaurants. Plus the repeated mentioning of a charge of $5 for splitting on the menu is off-putting.
