Consistently great service, cheap drinks and the food is delicious. It's usually busier than other places in Clawson but the wait is worth it. The spinach and artichoke pizza is so good, most of their pizzas are. Check the specials on the website, Saturdays there's one hour of $1 well drinks. I'm not a huge fan of the establishment itself, it's smoky and seating is a bit weird, oblong from front to back... the beer on tap is so-so, you're going to probably be drinking something pretty generic and domestic if you go here and order a beer. But the pizza is just downright awesome. Probably my favorite in the area, and that's saying a lot. For those of you who have been to Green Lantern in Madison Heights the pizza tastes similar to theirs... but a little bit... i don't know... better. Also... and this carries a lot of weight in my pizza joint... the ranch dressing is really good. This is one of those places you can feel proud when you take someone there that you know about this "hole in the wall with the best pizza in Detroit." I had major surgery about a month ago and for my "last meal" there was no doubt it was a bacon and pepperoni pizza from Renshaw's with all my loved ones. Solid local bar with cheap drinks and good bar food. The mac and cheese is good, so are the pizzas. Lots of TVs inside, a jukebox, pool, darts, and Golden Tee. They even redid the bathrooms. Plus you can get a donut next door at Dunkin Donuts when you leave. read more

Just came here for the first time with a group of people. They have good drink specials if the server can remember to ring them in for you. 2 of us ordered drinks - one at 9 pm and one at 9:15. When we were charged full price and asked our waitress she claimed it's because the system runs 5 minutes late. We didn't really feel like picking a fight over a couple dollars so we let that one slide, even though the 2nd drink was ordered way after her 5 minute limit. And not to mention most bars run on "bar time" which should be 10 minutes ahead vs. 5 behind. Next off we changed tables and kindly cashed out with our 1st server in the area we were sitting in to keep tips and sections straight amongst the waitstaff. The new waitress took at least 20 minutes (probably more) to even bring us a drink. By that time we were all ready to leave. Topping on the cake - they require a $10 minimum and have $1 drink specials. It's not posted anywhere but they'll let you know when you want to cash out. Our server was so bad I don't think we could have possibly gotten $10 worth of drinks in the remaining 2 hours and more importantly didn't want to stay one more second due to the horrible service. I have no intention of going back to this place because the service is so poor. $10 should be an easy amount to spend amongst 3 people in a span of an hour but this place couldn't manage to do it. read more

Stopped in to watch the Cardinals vs Panthers playoff game. I was quite surprised to learn the music was being played over the speakers rather than the game commentators. I'm a huge fan of music, but it was WAY too loud. I couldn't hear my date who was sitting two feet away from me. I finished my fries and cookie and took the rest of my meal home to eat at a later time. They also make you write your tip before they run your credit card, which was kind of awkward. This is our second visit to the Renshaw and the second terrible meal awful experience. The first time we went, one of us got the Calzone, which was tasteless and horrible , and I got the clams. Big mistake the clams came cold and burnt they were black, not the golden brown I was expecting. It was like eating shoe leather... It was later in the evening and our waitress was so nice... so I didn't complain and thought every place can have a bad night. We went back, today Tuesday August 24th, first off you are pretty much on your own, no one greets you, you literally have to try to guess who might work there to see if you can get a table or get some service. I realize places are short staffed but it took a long time to get someone to get to our table. Our waitress, was delivering 3 drinks at the same time one drink at our table and 2 beers for another table, While trying to set a diet coke down for us, she spilled beer over our cellular telephone and the table, went on to deliver the beers, and didn't bring a napkin or offered to clean up the spill, She saw us wiping up the beer, and flew bye saying sorry. Next we ordered a round, pizza , pepperoni and half with green pepper. It took over 50 minutes on a Tuesday, in the evening. When it arrived we realized it was cold, and there was no sauce. I had just about enough and went to try to find the manager. A bartender, was leaning over cleaning glasses could tell I was there but didn't want to look up until I had to say excuse me please, I would like to talk to a manager. He said I will get her for you. A nice lady with mint green hair came over to ask what the problem was and I said we waited for a pizza for over 50 minutes and there is no sauce whatsoever on it. She came over to our table and picked it up, and said yes your right there is no sauce. She was kind to ask us if we wanted another one, be we said we already waited for 50 minutes for this one. She did offer to take it off the bill. So we left tired, frustrated, and hungry. Okay 2 visits and 2 dreadful experiences. How is that even possible. You have to mark one star is the lowest score but If I could give them negative points I would do that . There are no redeeming qualities to this place at all. read more

I dropped into this place and grabbed their $6 fried chicken special. It was not spectacular, but it was not bad either. I am not sure if they seasoned with anything other than salt and pepper, but it was still better than Zehnder's (not much of a compliment). They have a ton of beers on tap and they are more than a buck cheaper than regular price at lunch time - I am not too good to not drink during the week day. They also have a ton of TVs, but they were set on ESPN and Fox News. read more

I went to Renshaw last night for the first time. The beer special is great if you are in the mood for cheap tasteless beer. However, the waitress we had really ruined the experience. She barely checked on us and when we were ready to cash out she brought the bills out VERY slowly and even forgot one but was nowhere to be found so that we could ask for it. Went here for the first time and wish I'd tried it sooner! This is a great sports bar. We will be returning! They have great deals every day of the week... we went on a Tuesday so it was free pool day. The food was all solid, delicious bar food. Really good beer specials, good food at great prices, friendly and efficient service (even willing to put on an out of market hockey game on one of the many TVs on a busy Saturday). It is a really big space and is loud when full (like on a Saturday night). Even though the parking lot was packed, we were able to find a table. And despite the full house, our server was able to bring drinks, food, and a check without us ever feeling like we were waiting around. There is an excellent selection of craft beer and specials on some more mainstream brews. My husband and I had a check of less than 20 dollars. Definitely worth a repeat visit.... read more

It's really loud in there with the music which is great if you're looking for a place that seems more hype but without all the extra people pushing and shoving around.
