I HIGHLY recommend. I called for an unscheduled move within 24 hours. Dispatch were very positive and time flexible. The workers were punctual, ready to work, and had a great attitude. They followed my instructions exactly, but asked when something wasn't a good idea, and offered great suggestions. They showed initiative to sort and stack containers according to content. They set aside boxes that were dodgy and tubs that were broken. The placed them where they were close to the ground with nothing stacked. Had Jacob and Mark out to unload a 15' U-Haul in South Lake Tahoe to move into a 2nd floor apartment with a very narrow staircase. Clearly experienced, knew what to do and when to do it, they finished the work well before our window. Clear communication shortly after our order was placed and then followed up day of. Terrible customer service. Moving into our brand new home they severely scratched the floor by sliding stuff without anything underneath it, damage to my drywall and stains on my carpet. I asked if they had shoe coverings they said "we just ran out". Overall they offered to repair all the damage, have the carpet cleaned and guess what.... Nothing has been done. What's crazy is I have written emails of them saying they will pay for and fix all these items but they no longer reply, even the secondary contact info I was given they no longer reply to anything. At this point I am going to take them to small claims court. I am another person who was tricked by the reviews on uhaul website. They were not as highly rated as I thought they were. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. They will no call and no show your move... EVEN WHEN THEY TOLD YOU THEY WERE COMING LESS THAN 24 HOURS AGO. I booked a move with them MONTHS in advance, they confirmed the move the day before with a phone call and told me they would be coming. I had a move scheduled with these guys and confirmed 2 days before. They said they'd call me when they were on the way that morning, but afternoon came came I got worried. I called every 2 hours so I can at least get a time for when I expect them, they kept telling me one more hour. More hours went by so I'd call them to check on them and it was so hard to get a hold of anyone. Jacob doesn't have a clue on how to schedule his workers since he never seemed to have answer on when they were going to help me. The communication was terrible. It was only me with no help in this move so I'm just sitting in the driveway with a uhaul I had to return that night. They started ignoring me later in afternoon and I never heard from them again. I ended up having to pay the truck for an extra day to hire other movers. All jacob and his team did was waste my time. If you can't fit me in your schedule, TELL ME. I had originally hired Reno's Discounted Moving through U-Haul's website. They had decent reviews and were the cheapest out of all the different companies, unfortunately in this instance cheaper isn't always better. The day of the move I got a call an hour before they were supposed to show up saying one of their workers called out and asked if they could come at 11, I told them that would be totally fine. Come 11 and haven't gotten any word back from them, we waited an additional 45 minutes until they actually showed up. It was a middle-aged guy with two younger guys. I go to walk up to their truck and just keep on their conversation as if I wasn't even there and there was no sense of urgency. I bring them up to the apartment and show them what is to be moved and was told that they couldn't fit everything in the truck and that was fine with me but asked them to just do the best they could. My boyfriend even noticed before I even brought it up to him that they were blabbing on the whole time, not very focused or much sense of hurry. We get over to the other location and they unloaded the truck. I will give it to the two younger guys, they kicked ass going up the 3 flights of stairs. This is where my one-star review starts to make more sense, I had asked the guy if they could come over next day and finish the job and he excitedly agreed to come back at 4pm next day. Come the following day my boyfriend and I had to go re-rent the U-Haul all over again and pick it up. We get to the apartment right before four and then time starts going by, 20 minutes, 40 minutes, an hour, an hour and a half and a dozen calls later with absolutely no reply or pick up. Just an absolute no call no show, and at this point it is Sunday evening and we now have a U-Haul we paid for and no one to load it up. We desperately start calling other moving companies and I called B & G Moving and the woman on the line was so sweet and empathetic about the situation. She told me this isn't the first time they've been called to clean up Reno's Discounted Moving's mess leaving clients stranded for a no call no show. What I don't understand is why not just say they were busy or that they couldn't do it? It would've given me ample time to find a different moving company the day prior. Or better yet call or text me that day and tell me that something came up and are unable to make it. Anything would've been better than what they did, it was completely unprofessional and uncalled for. Also, this was my biggest fear hiring movers, and trust me it was not a fun experience crying on the phone with the woman from the other moving company. I cannot stress enough DO NOT USE RENO DISCOUNTED MOVING!!!!! The guys from B & G we're practically flying up and down the stairs, not a peep between them-completely focused on the job and stayed till 12pm Sunday night to make sure I was taken care of. Wavered between 3 and 4 stars, but after all was said and done I went with 4. I booked 2 guys to load a truck at 10am on a Saturday. After reading one of the reviews on here the week of the move I was a little nervous because I had asked when I booked if I needed to pay a deposit and they told me no. But I called to confirm and all was well. I did find out when I called that I would need to pay in cash (not check) to get the price I was quoted, so I'm glad I did call because I would not have known otherwise and tried to pay with a card or check. Day of the move comes and 30 minutes before my scheduled time I got a call that they were running an hour late. Super inconvenient when you plan to get your own truck and such (and I wasn't expecting that to be an issue with a 10am move time), but I am glad they called and know it happens. They still showed up about 20 minutes after I expected them. They also did not have their own dolly, even though every moving company I've ever used has had their own. But... This is why I went with 4 stars- once they finally got there the guys were GREAT. They did all my stuff in just over an hour, and managed to fit my two bedroom small house into a 16ft truck. I would not recommend this company. They low bid and charge you more. They damaged a bike and said they would repair it but never did. Scratches on furniture that were not there before the move. Left me with a refrigerator outside that they claimed they couldn't get through the door but installers had no problem getting it through the same space door. My experience started off much like others have mentioned in that they arrived an hour later than scheduled. Ok, not a huge deal. They showed up with 2 guys when it was a 3 person job, which I agreed with, and had them bring on another guy. The 3 of them worked well together and got the truck loaded and unloaded as expected. Then they had to leave early, so after loading the truck they left with the promise of coming at 9 o'clock the next morning. The guys that were supposed to come didn't, but they sent 2 others, one of which was a younger guy who didn't know how to lift heavy objects which seems kind of important for this type of job. Also once again they showed up about an hour and a half later. The experience I had the 2nd day was quite the contrast from the 1st day. They were paid to move a piano but the younger guy couldn't do it so they had to call for someone else to come help finish moving the piano. He showed up 30 mins later to move the piano. I was under a time crunch and needed to be somewhere so this was very upsetting. Overall the first day was good and the second not so good so it seems like it could be hit or miss depending on who you get. read more

Booked the job on Saturday morning and called (per U-Haul's instructions) to set up the time for the helpers to arrive. Jacob answered and said he was actively engaged in a move and asked to call me back at 4pm. No problem. 4pm comes and goes without a call. I try to call him, goes to voicemail. I leave a message. Sunday, no call, but some businesses are closed on Sundays. No problem. Monday morning I call at 10am. Voicemail. I leave a message. Monday afternoon I call at 3pm. Voicemail. I leave a message. Monday evening I call at 5:30pm. Voicemail. Job cancelled. This guy can kick bricks and work on his GED on someone else's dime. read more

Wow. We talked to Jacob 3 weeks ago, scheduling our move for today (1/14). He was great! But when we contacted him 1/11 to reconfirm, we got crickets. Crickets again 1/12 & 1/13. I finally called him again on 1/13 FROM A DIFFERENT PHONE NUMBER to see if he would pick up. He did! He reconfirmed for today, apologizing for not getting back to us, and saying we were the only move on his schedule for 1/14 so all good, and he would call me later with a precise ETA. I should have known better than to believe him, since he hadn't responded to the previous 3 days' calls! Sure enough, he never called back with a time. Never showed up. I have never given a 1 star review on any company or service, until now. My wife and I, who are both in our 60's hired Reno Discounted Moving, 2 months before our agreed upon move date. Three times, we tried calling them 2 days before our agreed upon move date, yet they never returned our call. We then called them again at 8:00 AM on the morning of our move, and they did answer and confirmed they would be over by 9:00 AM to fulfill our move. We waited until 10:30 AM, and still no movers and no phone call. Reno Discounted Moving were a total NO SHOW! They never contacted us again. Therefore, with the 20' Uhaul truck in the driveway and us needing to be out of our apartment, my 61 year old wife and I had to move ourselves; a 3 BR condo by ourselves. Moving is not fun. And getting movers to help is tricky. You want your stuff safe but you don't want to pay ridiculous money. Long story short: These guys are good, they can get a lot done within their minimum time frame, and they have excellent pricing. On Wednesday Oct 30th, 2019 We used Reno's discounted Moving to move my mother in-law from the Promenade senior living to Brookdale senior assisted living. Jake and his associate borrowed a large and small cart from the Promenade. After the move had been completed he informed me that he would to return the carts to the Promenade that very day, he did not return either cart. I called the number provided and he stated that he knew where they were and would return them upon the completion of his current job that day. That was a week ago. Promenade management called him as well and they were told that they have been busy and return the carts that day, it has been nearly additional 5 days. We are having to pay $398.00 for the large Cart and $298 for the smaller cart to the Promenade. This is nothing short of criminal they did not have permission and have failed to return the carts after several verbal attempts from myself and the Promenade. I will be filling a Police report if the carts are not returned by Monday Nov 25th. Bill Wight read more

I contacted Jacob Monday (8/23) afternoon to schedule a large commercial move later in the week. He asked me to text pictures which I did. He said he could do the move within our budget and I was very happy to be able to do business together. I called and texted the next few days and I was told by Jacob a few times he could help us with the move and was free the Thursday and Friday we needed. The morning of the move, Jacob wouldn't answer any calls or texts so our company had to scramble to find someone else to move our business. Hiring this company led to the worst moving experience of my life. I bought several items from an estate sale and needed help to move them from the estate to my home. I contacted this company several days in advance about the details of my job. I made clear that this job requires 3 parties to perform their parts: the estate owners (open the doors), me (rent the truck), and the movers (show up on time). Everything went smoothly on the day of the move... until the movers are nowhere to be found. I waited for half an hour before I called the company. At this point, they nonchalantly told me that due to overbooking in the morning, they could not help me at the agreed upon time. They then gave me a vague ETA of 1 hour and a half with the caveat that it could be a lot more. This left me in a devastatingly compromising situation. I'm at the home of somebody else. I also park a giant truck in their driveway. The truck itself also has to be returned within hours. I cannot simply wait an undetermined amount of time so I asked them to find me alternatives. Without consulting with me first, they kicked my job to another company, who charged a lot more to send their emergency crew. When this crew came (at this point, it was already 2 hours past the originally agreed upon time), it became obvious that only one of them is an experienced mover. Bless their effort, but the job ended up taking much longer than it should have. From the the time that we arrived at the estate to the time that the move was completed, it was a mammoth 8 hours. For the privilege of going through this ordeal, I had to pay triple the amount I agreed with the company. Even more importantly, I was left extremely embarrassed as the homeowner (a 77 years old lady) could not rest for 6 hours because of our continued presence. Because we had not idea when the mover could appear, neither me nor my dad could eat or rest during the entire 8 hours. I also had to cancel an appointment in the afternoon. I arrived home after the move feeling like I want to vomit. Despite all of them, the worst part of this experience, the part I will always remember is the company agent telling me they are not responsible because "we do not have a contract". I guess they got me. I never thought I have to bring a lawyer to book a moving company. I thought I can just communicate with them over the phone. I can tolerate inexperience, or even incompetence. Moving is a medically taxing business. But I can never tolerate a complete lack of empathy for one's customer. I cannot recommend this company. If you have to use them, make sure to bring a lawyer and draw up an airtight contract. read more

These guys were fast and so efficient. I was stuck in Fallon after being runoff the road by a semi truck. This crew showed up 45 min faster than what dispatch quoted, it was a Sunday and very hot. They took pictures of damage for me and trans loaded the replacement 15 'uhaul in less than an hour. Honest, friendly and efficient- i REALLY recommend them highly! read more

Very horrible experience. They came to help move in our couches, mattresses, and freezer. They damaged our wall in the apartment, they damaged outlet fence, as well as our brand new bbq because they jumped over the fence. We called to confront them and they told us to send photos, we did and have been ignored since. Very unprofessional. Do not recommend by any means. read more

Jacob was great on the phone and told me I didn't need a deposit but needed to pay in cash. He was completely ok with stopping at two places for one final destination an hour away! He said it would be him and Brian doing the move. The day of the move they were running behind but so was I! It was not Jacob and Brian but Darren and Sean. They were kind and came with a dolly and straps. Got right to work. I had asked for a few things to be wrapped in the Saran Wrap and they didn't bring it. We used blankets instead. They were careful with my washing machine! Only one piece didn't fit at the second location even though they packed very tight into a 20' foot UHaul. I learned the Uhaul's are the same price for 15', 20' and 26'! So it's worth getting the 26' for no extra charge and less time for them having to tetras it all in! At one point they accidentally left with the keys to the first home and went to the second location and had to come back so we could lock up the first location. This company did not charge me for the extra time that took since it was their mistake. I wasn't mad , it was an honest mistake -and it gave me a minute to relax. They gave me a discount for the inconvenience! They also helped me open a file cabinet that had been bent shut! They did a great job and had great attitudes! They were so much lower in cost than anyone else I got a quote from and being a recently divorced lady I truly needed that! I am so very grateful to them! Not wrapping the bed and the other few things in Saran Wrap wasn't a big deal and saved me some money, but that is why I am giving them 4 stars instead of 5! The communication for being late was excellent and Jacob called throughout the move. I felt very lucky to have found this company! I already recommended it to my niece for a move she has coming up soon! I found them through the Uhaul website. I had called many places before that and some were double in price! Do not hire these people! I would give them minus stars if possible. First let me start by saying that I reserved a truck through uhaul and needed some help moving the bigger items. The movers came from the uhaul site through another site called Moving Help. I only bring that up because they were of no help in resolving my problem. Uhaul stated that they just advertised on their site and Moving Help could only "ding" them on their customer service score. So my problems with this company started when my refrigerator doors needed to be removed in order to move the refrigerator around the kitchen island. They didn't really know how. Next they gave the refrigerator a big push which tore a big area of the Flooring and dented the side of the refrigerator. They tore the flooring again in another spot. They also scratched the black stainless steel front in many areas. I asked at that time for their insurance information and was told I needed to talk to the office. Later that day the owner called me to tell me I was being charged extra as the move went long, this was true and I paid the additional amount. I advised him of the situation and he told me he would call right back. Never heard from him so I called the following morning. He stated that he would call me back. Again never heard from him. I called the next day and he was at the park with his child and would call me when he got to the office. I never heard from him. My only recourse is to sue in small claims court. I am looking into that at this time. So long story short, unless you have the time to spend in court don't hire these people. I happen to be retired so have some extra time on my hands. read more
