Great, great pizza! The dough itself is so tasty and satisfying. It has the crunch and stretch characteristic of thin crust pizza and you can just tell they care that the base of their amazing toppings adds something special to the flavor of the pie as a whole. The red sauce is also super yummy. The smoked chicken is great on anything and I love the seasonal burrata appetizer. So good. They also whip up some mean breakfast sandwiches. The bagels are solid and the spreads are also great and there are so many options to choose from. We've tried pumpkin, veggie, berry and plain. All are rich, fluffy and delicious. I just wish it was not cash only. The staff is fairly helpful and efficient, but could be a bit friendlier. I sort of feel like I'm bothering them when I go pick up my to-go orders. Plus fancy Nancy always reminds me of the Fancy Nancy episode of the Kardashian's! Bahaha! I've had the pasta and I remember it being spicy which is good if you like spicy I do. Every single time I've been here, it has been the best. In the morning they have really great breakfast options (wood-fired bagels!!!). I had dinner here last night and had the pasta that was part of their special and it was SO good. It originally came with mussels but they were super accommodating and were able to serve the pasta without it to make it vegetarian. There wasn't an issue about the pizza traveling, the issue was when we opened up each pizza we were confused thinking we had the wrong order. We couldn't even tell the difference between the Spanish monster and the oasis because the ingredients were so tiny that everything blended in. The fancy Nancy was a sopping wet soggy mess with the burrata on top, and the crust was hardly cooked. The pizza taste was ok, but when we got the clam pizza, there were no clams to be seen, just a lot of corn (which I love), so I think it was misleading. Also the buffalo chicken pizza.. there was little to no chicken, just huge chunks of tomatoes. One of my Logan Square resident cousins is a vegetarian so she is all about Reno. Reno is a great option for us when we meet up because not only do they have a plethora of veg options she can get into but they also cover a meat lover like myself. Reno is great for a low key breakfast of bagel & a schmear for under 4 bucks. Delicious breakfast sandwiches packed full of ingredients, albeit the cowboy killer is a bit spicy for my weak buds. My cuz is all about their pizzas & salads and I concur they're nothing to frown upon. Everything is so fresh and yummy with pretty stellar service - a lot of indoor seating plus a nice little patio right in the hub of Logan Square. Prices, along with beer prices, are digestible. Wednesdays they not only have karaoke at 9pm but also $5 pastas and $5 wine glasses. This may be my Reno money night. Love their tunes. If I catch some Mr. Big, I'm a happy chick. Last weekend I went in for my 3rd visit to get a poppy seed bagel to go. I was the only one at the counter, the counter dude was behind the counter in position to take orders but was just staring into space. . I had to ask him to place my order, My order was simple, a plain poppy seed bagel to go,, He grabs a sesame seed bagel, I say, "no, poppy" I then ask him to slice the bagel- he is dumbfounded- walks in the back, has someone else slice it.. Price with tax- 2.49, they round it up to 2.50...ok, whatever. Bottom line here... nice place- weird dude behind the counter who moves pretty slow, good thing it wasn't busy. and TOO MUCH MONEY FOR A SMALL LITTLE PLAIN BAGEL. This is the smallest bagel ever with the largest price. Bagel review: It was good, but for 2.50....it will have to be a bagel emergency for me to come back for that. Ordered a couple pizza's, the wings, the pesto pasta and the truffle cavatelli a few weeks ago. Everything was very good the pizza is good New York style thin slices and I loved the spicy wings. I'm sure the owners prefer a pronunciation of "Ren-o" to "Re-no", but in any event, you will be ensured that eating at Reno will not be the biggest little mistake of your life. Or week. Arguably the best value in Logan Square for dinner, the gourmet pizzas are quite reasonably priced and delicious - the basic Reno style pizza is heavily sauced and the sausage is very flavorful. If you dined at Ciao you'll be familiar. If not, think Coalfire and get ready to be happy. As you would expect from owners of Telegraph and Webster's Wine Bar, the wine selection is several cuts above your usual local pizza joint and they have multiple delicious varieties by the glass. Try a few different glasses and expand your horizons viniously. For my bourbon lovers, their online selection of whiskeys is respectable but cannot hold a candle to Longman. But let us speak frankly, you aren't here for the bourbon. Reno lacks Ciao's creativity in the cocktail list but for an affordable gourmet night out I'm glad this space has reopened for business. And yes, Telegraph is next door so I too was confused when I showed up on the corner of Milwaukee and Logan Blvd and thought I was in the wrong place. I went for dinner but apparently they are doing very good breakfast (great bagels?) and lunch business too. It's cash only which adds to the rustic, earthy, coffee house feel with exposed wood and brick everywhere. Love the extendable lamps at eat table too. I like the charm, it works, especially in that neighborhood. The dinner menu features pizzas, pastas and a few salads/sides. We did a little of everything. Our dinner included the frisee spinach salad, roasted broccoli side, the HOG pizza and DUBS pasta. All washed down with some tasty beer and wine. Hands down the standout in that group was our pasta - a fun and different take on what tasted very much like a mac n cheese. And the best part was that the pasta was mostly rotelle (aka the wheels) - bring back childhood memories for us all. But the cheese (gruyere and white cheddar) was delicious and the touch of truffle oil sealed the deal. I'd go back for that dish again. We also loved the roasted broccoli dish. It was tasty, lots of good olive oil and roasted garlic. Very well done. The pizza was nice (porkbelly carnitas, salsa verde, mozzarella, rajas, cotija cheese), and notable for the green salasa in addition to the cheese and 'hog' meat. Nice but not earth shattering. I'd try other options next time. The frisee spinach was rather uninteresting. We ended with a few desserts, I guess I had a sweet tooth that night. They were the ice cream cookie sandwich and apple crisp with cinnamon ice cream. Both were actually just ok, not bad, ice cream good but both felt a little above average. I enjoyed our experience at Reno. The value was good and our service was usually solid (except forgetting our pasta - the best dish!). I like the vibe and feel of the place, somewhere you can spend all day if you wanted. The food was a bit inconsistent with some really nice dishes and some very average ones. But in all honesty: mediocre on it's best day. They serve Sumptown coffee which is a plus but after that it's mostly downhill. Bagel sandwiches and pizza that's pretty much all they have to offer. I went to Reno this AM for breakfast. I had been wanting to try the bagels. I got the poppy with cheddar, eggs and bacon. I didn't LOVE the bagel. It was nothing to write home about but I'm no bagel aficionado. As an aside, they had a curry bagel I would like to go back to try. They did have an amazing looking treat double brownie with butterscotch covered with chocolate and choc nibs. I had to use all my coping skills not to buy it on the way out. I also got an iced mocha which didn't taste amazing. They are open for breakfast lunch and dinner so I'd be open to trying other meals especially the pizzas. Service was quick and courteous. I love Reno for breakfast and brunch. Their bagels are exactly to my liking; not too thick and just the right amount of chewy. Their breakfast bagel sandwiches are all really good, and you can mix and match the bagels. Their english muffins are super fluffy and full of air pockets. YUM. The pastry display has some interesting items, and I think they're all baked to bakery-standards. I've never had a pastry that wasn't delicious. Sometimes they run low and there's hardly anything left. They also have delicious salads that change once in a while. I always get a salad to share along with our entrees. Their dinner menu is not as great as their breakfast menu, but they have specials every night. The pizza is very thin napoleon style, and all the pastas are fresh. My friend and I were at the nearby Lula Cafe, but just too hungry to deal with the hour-long wait - so we wandered around the neighborhood and found Reno, practically across the street. This was definitely a mixed bag. Unlike many of the other Yelp reviews I've read, we had no issues with the service - they were prompt, responsive, and very professional (I'd even venture to say friendly). We didn't have to wait all that long for a table, either - and the place was spacious and well-lit. So what was the problem? Well, unfortunately, the food was rather disappointing: + Fig, Vanilla, & Black Pepper Latte: I love eccentric flavors, and even though I was nervous the pepper would be spicy and overpower the fig & vanilla, it didn't. The coffee flavor wasn't strong - it was more creamy - but since I'm not a coffee snob (and a fan of milky drinks), this was pleasant to sip on, and I'm glad I got it! - Margherita Pizza: I LOVE Margherita pizzas - it's a little embarrassing to admit that it's one of my favorite pizza flavors, since it's akin to saying that, say, vanilla is your favorite ice cream flavor - but I love the freshness of the basil and the overall "light" taste. This version was unfortunately not only missing the basil (it was practically a cheese & tomato sauce pizza), but was a little moist at the bottom (not the kind of crust you'd want!). - Poutine: I'm also a sucker for poutine, mostly because I'm a fries addict (just count the number of times I comment on fries in my reviews, haha ...). And it doesn't take a Canadian to know that a poutine can only be as good as its fries. So although I think the carnitas and the bechamel in the dish made for fine flavoring, the rather soggy fries (that "seemed like they had been boiled, instead of fried") made the dish something of a huge letdown. + Cowboy Killer (Maple Fennel Sausage + Fried Egg + Bechamel + Bacon + Rajas on a bagel): this sandwich that my friend got wasn't too bad - probably the best thing we'd ordered - but it was still rather heavy for a "breakfast sandwich." Is the food edible? Of course. My friend and I did eat until we were full, and we even asked for the leftovers to go. The only problem is that I ordered a few staples of my diet - tastes I know like the back of my hand - and I've had much, much better versions elsewhere. Bottom Line: If you find yourself stranded at Lula but unwilling to endure the long wait, you could venture to Reno ... you'll find reasonable prices and seating here, but don't expect the food to be spectacular. Had a very disappointing experience at Reno today. Firstly we ordered 2 Diet Cokes , they arrived in cans w/ glasses with ice. Upon pouring them, we saw they were completely flat, which I had never seen before happen in a can. We told the server we'd like new ones.. new ones never appeared (we told her she could take the cans later & she offered new ones but we passed). We ordered a kale salad to start, and a pizza and avocado toast. Out came the pizza first, which we thought was odd (I asked to start with the salad) but we waited 30 minutes and nothing else arrived. We had the check sat down by another waiter, who was very nice and I told him two items never arrived- he was very apologetic and nice, he took the items off the check and offered for us to take to go (avocado toast goes bad quickly so we passed). Our original waitress never came by during our meal to ask how everything was (we could have informed her then that we never received two items) and when paying I only had the options to tip 30%, 25%, or 20% (I am sure I could have asked for an alternative considering our experience but I didn't want an awkward encounter) so I did 20% which was more than fair and she looked extremely annoyed and walked away. I am giving two stars bc the male waiter/manager seemed generally apologetic and he was nice but combined with the poor service, missing food items and the pizza just wasn't that good (go to coalfire or middlebrow) it was a very disappointing meal and experience. read more

I'm a pizza kind of girl. I LOVE pizza and I'm somewhat picky about my pizza because pizza somehow became expensive. So if I'm spending money on a pizza it better be delicious. So it's safe to say that I love the pizzas from Reno and find them worth the splurge. I live in the area so I've had their food pretty regularly. They do delivery through GrubHub and I've eaten in a few times. I wish they did pickup through GrubHub but they don't. My favorite pizza from here, hands down, is the Popeye. There was a few months this winter where I ordered this pizza every other week. It has artichokes, spinach, Gouda, mozzarella, and pecorino. Yes, it's a white pizza and I'm all for itS It's delicious and cheesy and perfection. Also tastes amazing as leftovers. The Jerry is a recent favorite of mine. Summer squash, zucchini and roasted red peppers with amazing goat and mozzarella cheese topped with roasted garlic and covered with fresh dill. I love dill and I find it so underused in cooking. The veggies are cooked to perfection but oh my gosh the roasted garlic cloves are divine. I don't know why people don't do it more often. The Fancy Nancy is also good with mozzarella, basil, red sauce, and burrata. If you're looking for a regular pizza with just a little more cheese, this one is worth the splurge. In terms of appetizers, I'm a huge fan of the garlic focaccia and the spicy meatballs. The cheese curds are just mouth watering on the focaccia and the meatballs are so flavorful. Overall, I love Reno and I love that I live in the area and can experience the menu whenever I want. Also, on Tuesdays they do 2 pizzas for $20 which is a STEAL. read more

Other than that one experience, I have nothing but nice things to say about Reno. I frequent Reno for brunch most weekends. The honey cinnamon cortados are to die for, and they're friendly about substitutions on their sandwiches (something nice for my vegetarian boyfriend). I've also really enjoyed their SUPER spicy Bloody Mary's, and the Jorge pizza. The servers are friendly in helping you pick a good meal every time. :-) They only setback for some might be that it's cash-only, but there's an ATM inside. read more

Came here on a day other than Tuesday! I love Tuesday's for the 2 for 1 pizza deal. Such a steal for delicious pizza! Since we didn't come on Tuesday we ordered a salad with the pizza. We got the Philomena with added prosciutto and the Frisée salad. We've tried almost every pizza here and we like them all some more than others. The Philomena was towards the top of the list. But the thing that surprised me most was how good the salad was. I'm not a huge salad eater, but my goodness was it good. They have a nice beer election, great whiskey selection if that's your jam and all around good food. I'm not a huge fan of their Bagel brunch sandwiches, but you cannot beat the pizza for the price and clearly the salads are good too.
