Two roommates and I were in search of an apartment for the month of October- and Rennit proved to be an untrustworthy realtor. They gave us a tour of a perfect apartment and although the application fees were the steepest that we encountered ($100 for every applicant and $100 for each guarantor $500 in total for the 3 of us) we went forward because the place was so nice. Right before submitting our applications we checked with Rennit that the apartment was still available because the listing was taken off all sites that night. They said it was, but the next day we were informed that the apartment's management had already chosen an application that was submitted right before us. Rennit offered us free applications to all other apartments they had listed because of the non-refundable fees. This was helpful but we did feel trapped in choosing one the few apartments they had that would meet our needs because of the $500 we gave them. It also did not help that no one from Rennit answered our calls, texts or emails for 4 days after our denied application. We then had applied to another apartment and was given a meeting with the apartments management. Though halfway into the 2 hour drive to the city, Moishe called us all to notify us that the meeting was cancelled and the apartment had once again gone to another applicant. This bothered us because that apartment was specifically noted as a Rennit exclusive- therefore Rennit had kept submitting applications after our group had applied. We said OK please let us know about the one other apartment we had been interested in, our last choice. They then said Rennit would call us the next day and we had never heard from them. While Moishe and Ary were very friendly and personable while looking at apartments in person-we felt extremely ripped off and frustrated from our experience with Rennit. We later on found an apartment from another realtor which had the normal $20 application fee. read more

Rennit helped us to find our new appartment in a really short amount of time. Thats a huge deal for us because we just moved to the city. The staff were very nice and cooperative to make the process faster. read more

Working with Rennit NYC was the best experience. Moving is always a daunting and stressful time especially in NY. Moishe, Leo and Aliyah were super responsive and helpful through out the process - couldn't be happier with my new apartment and would recommend Rennit. read more

Working with Leo has been very difficult and confusing. While he was always readily available for communication, which was nice - we felt strung on and disappointed often. He had my two roommates and I apply for our favorite apartment (at a $75 non refundable application fee PLUS an additional $75 guarantor application fee, so at the cost of $150 each for three people) and THEN told us afterwards there was already a deposit down on that apartment, so it was off-market. The day after, he told us that if we found a different apartment listed through Rennit and used him as our agent, we would not have to pay that money again, but it was already taken from us and non refundable, so we were pretty backed in the corner and felt we were now using Leo and Rennit out of necessity to get our money's worth. The next day, ever optimistic, we set up an appointment to view another apartment in the area with Leo through Rennit and Leo did not bring the key... so my roommate trekked an hour through a heatwave in the city there, only to not even get to see the apartment... I wish I could say our experience has been great, and there definitely have been some upsides (communication being the big one); however, at such a steep application price before rent even came into play, one would really hope for better service. We did end up getting a great place at a pretty decent price, but overall, I've had better experiences. read more

Moishe was so great to work with! He really helped my family and I find a nice sustainable home. He always replies back in good time and very communicative. I very much enjoyed my experience with Rennit NYC. Moishe understood how stressful apartment hunting in NYC is and was very responsive to my many, many questions. He and his team quickly resolved any issues that emerged. My roomates and I very much enjoy our current apartment thanks to Moishe advocating on our behalf. Would recommend! read more

Moishe was very helpful in the process of us looking for a place. He was so patient and flexible and let us look at a unit multiple times to make sure it was right. I definitely recommend working with him to find your next home! read more

I would like to thank Moshe and Leo for all their help in obtaining my place. They were very helpful, highly professional and went above and beyond. I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for either commercial or residential property. 5 stars! read more

As others have said rennit's $100 application fee is absurd. Two roommates and I were looking for a place in September and paid $500 in application fees because we liked the place so much. We did not get the apartment and rennit recommend another place right before saying it was already taken. We then never heard from them again. These fees should absolutely be refunded if rennit does not successfully get you into a new home. read more

We rented from Rennit 2-years in a row and both times Moishe completely blew us away! With us living in a different state he has gone above and beyond to make sure my daughter and her roommate found the perfect place to feel safe and call home. He was always available and guided us thru the process from start to finish. We will definitely be back! read more

We found a great apartment in Williamsburg with the help of Paul, who reached out immediately to us after expressing interest in the listing on StreetEasy. We were able to schedule a same-day viewing (and they even allowed us to send a friend instead as my roommate and I were out of the city due to the pandemic). Aliyah in the leasing office was great as well--everyone we met was friendly, responsive and professional. We recommend Rennit! read more

Awesome service - they provided timely communication and responses to any questions we had. They made the moving in process easy.

Leo is great to work with, professional, knowledgable and very efficient. My husband and I are relocating from Boston and Leo was able to fit us in within a few hours to see what ended up being our dream apartment. Both Leo and Moishe were constantly available to help us through the application process and turned it around in 12 hours. I can't thank them enough! Highly recommended! read more

While their selection may not be the best, they were extremely charismatic, quick to respond, and always got a hold of the landlord for direct and honest communication- which feels like a rarity in New York rental world. The application process was the easiest I've experienced in New York. Their online portal is user friendly and they were nice enough to accommodate alternative application materials for my retired parents as guarantors. Would definitely recommend to a friend and use again for my home search read more

Moishe is quick to reply and very accomodating. My wife and I were moving from Texas, and there were several components that were uncertain for us, but Moishe was happy to send us a video tour of our unit, and kept in touch all the way through signing the lease in person. He was also upbeat, professional, and patient while we were stuck in traffic! Would love to do business with him again, and would definitely recommend. read more

Moishe helped my friend and I find the perfect home in Brooklyn! We had a pretty stressful week looking all over NYC for places and as soon as we saw our current place we immediately knew this was it. Knowing what a rat race locking a place down in New York can be, we really wanted to communicate how serious we were about this place and Moishe was super responsive and helpful in making sure we got our place. Very nice and flexible with meeting us afterwards (for lease signing) as well. Would highly recommend this company and Moishe if you're looking for a home! :) read more

In my seven years in NYC, moving has always been a pain. Moishe is the exception to the rule. The ENTIRE process, from seeing the apartment to signing the lease, was 100% done in less than 72 hours. Quick, Responsive, Professional. I will definitely be sending a text to Moishe the next time I plan to move (though it may be a while because this new apartment is fantastic!) read more

Moishe has gone above and beyond helping my roommate and I when we first moved to New York last year. He not only helped us find a great place but even took the time to help us negotiate our rent for our lease renewal this year! It's very refreshing to find someone who truly cares about their clients. Working with him made the entire process easy and quick! He's extremely helpful and responsive and took the time to answer all of our questions about our lease and help us with our application. I would definitely recommend working with them. read more

Really professional and COMPETENT. Very quick turnaround. Super responsive. No complaints at all and Jeanette is great. Moishe is great.

Moishe Stark worked with me and my roommate to help us find an incredible apartment in Crown Heights. He was so responsive to every email and request I sent to him. I'm incredibly happy that I went through Rennit. Moishe was easily and by far the best agent that I have worked with in NYC. He attended to us even after the lease signing and went way above and beyond to make sure my roommate and I were set up in the new place and that all of our needs were met to our satisfaction. He was sensitive to the fact that I am busy and went out of his way to accommodate my schedule. The online workflow that Rennit has set up actively helps prospective renters find, apply for and secure the apartments that they want. I know that I'm tough when it comes to rental transactions, but Moishe truly gave me the best rental experience I have had in NYC. read more

Our realtor Paul was very nice. But his boss was an absolute nightmare. From raising the original price we agreed on to our apartment still being painted on our move in day this company is terrible. Also the unit we saw was not the unit we moved into. But if you want to deal with a gift card rebate so your reality company can save some money via tax scam this is the company for you. read more

I have had the pleasure of working with Moishe and Izzy throughout my hunt for an apartment and can't be happier with how helpful / responsive they both are. On top of being very flexible with viewing times and providing answers for all of our questions, Izzy has been proactive in sharing new options as they open up, which is above and beyond what any other realtor has done thus far. We are still in the midst of our apartment hunt, though hope to continue to work with both of them to find the perfect spot! read more
