Traveling randomly through Wisconsin in our RV. My wife found a listing online for Rene's Supper Club. We took a detour and headed that way. The place was immaculate and nicely done. The owner was behind the bar, and his wife Rene' behind the scenes. Had a few beverages and each ordered a beef tenderloin sandwich and shared fried cheese curds. The curds were crispy and everything a good fried curd should be. The beef tenderloin was juicy, fork tender and delicious. Nicely served on a sizzling platter and perfectly cooked. Mentioned our difficulty in finding a campground that wasn't full, and were immediately introduced to a couple that was staying nearby in a local campground. Conversation led us to a website and we were booked into a very nice site. ( On an August weekend, an open site is hard to find anywhere.) We were aware of that but just wandering and hoping. Anyway Rene's was a stroke of luck. Excellent food, really nice folks, and a score on a campsite. If you are on 141 in Wisconsin, anywhere near Crevitz get off the road and follow county rd X to Rene's. You will be happy you did.

Always a solid meal! Old fashioned "Up Nort" feeling of a family friendly supper club in beautiful Northern Wisconsin. The steaks are all amazing but the walleye is fantastic! Pretty much you can't go wrong with anything on the menu.

Tenderloin was excellent. The veteran waitress we had was abrupt and rude. Otherwise, an old favorite. Miss the salad bar!

Best steak since forever. Old fashion supper club meal at a reasonable price. We do not come to Crivitz without eating here.

Four guys split one tenderloin to go with our fish. The steak was very tough and the waitress didn't want to do anything.

The walking paths were well maintained and nice to enjoy with our children. Cons- very dated. I heard when I was checking in they are slowly doing full updates of rooms with plans for everything to be fully renovated in the future. The musty smell of the room, very very smelly. If they do update the rooms I would stay again in the future, otherwise I would find another accommodation

The property is surrounded by woods, which gives it a peaceful, cabin in the north-woods kind of vibe. The lake views are really gorgeous but good luck getting one... By the time we checked in all those rooms were taken, so we ended up with a stunning view of a parking lot and some trees. Postcard material, if the postcard is from a rest stop! Walking into the room, the first thing that hit us was this strong, leftover food smell - like someone had just cooked something super spicy and the scent decided to stay for the weekend. It wasn't exactly the fresh, clean place we were hoping for. And to top it off the other side of the building had its own thing going on - its own kind of funky, musty odor that hung in the air. Not AWFUL, but noticeable. Not the kind of scent that says "welcome" more like "something weird went in the walls". The room did not do itself any favors either, there were dust, and dirt in random spots, and when we made the mistake of checking under the couch and cushions, we discovered a little time capsule of old food crumbs and debris. Cozy! It looked like the furniture had not been updated in a while - unless " 1990s cabin chic" is making a comeback. On the bright side, the shower actually worked pretty well - hot water, great pressure. Honestly that was probably the highlight of the room. Outside there is some tennis courts , and a basketball hoop. Which is a nice touch if you are into that kind of thing, ( or if you need to burn off frustration from your room situation.) Overall the Landmark has potential - the location is solid and the grounds are peaceful - but the rooms REALLY need more attention and care. If they put in the effort to clean better and refresh the interiors, this could be a great spot. Until then, maybe bring some freshener, and DO NOT look under the cushions, and keep your expectations in check!

No kidding, don't let the gas station vibes throw you, this place has great eats. We walked in through the gas station part of the building and were surprised to see the rustic decor of a medium sized dining area and an adjacent bar. It was a pretty full dining room and we sat ourselves. It didn't look promising as we saw one waitress and one bartender. However, after a brief wait, the waitress came to our table and assured us she would return as quickly as possible to get our drink and food orders. She returned as promised. Our drinks arrived a short time later. They were well made and attention was paid to get us another round as we finished the first. Our table had ribs, prime rib and a French dip sandwich. The portion size was great and the food arrived hot. The ribs were fall-off-the-bone tender and the sauce was tasty. The prime rib had great flavor, was prepared as ordered and had very little fat. The French dip was also tasty. Truth be told, a salad bar would make this a true five star rating. The salads served with the meal were nice but very run-of-the-mill. Will we go back in the future? You betcha!
