Traveling randomly through Wisconsin in our RV. My wife found a listing online for Rene's Supper Club. We took a detour and headed that way. The place was immaculate and nicely done. The owner was behind the bar, and his wife Rene' behind the scenes. Had a few beverages and each ordered a beef tenderloin sandwich and shared fried cheese curds. The curds were crispy and everything a good fried curd should be. The beef tenderloin was juicy, fork tender and delicious. Nicely served on a sizzling platter and perfectly cooked. Mentioned our difficulty in finding a campground that wasn't full, and were immediately introduced to a couple that was staying nearby in a local campground. Conversation led us to a website and we were booked into a very nice site. ( On an August weekend, an open site is hard to find anywhere.) We were aware of that but just wandering and hoping. Anyway Rene's was a stroke of luck. Excellent food, really nice folks, and a score on a campsite. If you are on 141 in Wisconsin, anywhere near Crevitz get off the road and follow county rd X to Rene's. You will be happy you did. read more

We were excited to have a good meal, and were seated right away. Our waitress, who was also acting as hostess, asked if we wanted drinks (we didn't), and said she'd give us a few minutes to look at the menu. There were people in the restaurant, but also lots of open tables, and three additional waitresses. During the 20+ minutes we waited to order, no waitress would make eye contact, including our own who turned her back to us as she seated a couple at a neighboring table. When she took a dinner order from a table seated fully 10-15 minutes AFTER us, my husband, who had the patience of a saint, decided it was time to leave. We have never been treated like that, and certainly have never left a restaurant after being seated. I'm still shocked. The food may be delicious--it certainly smelled good--but we never got to try it! read more

A Crivitz gem and where the locals go. Start with an old fashioned, move to the fully stocked salad bar, enjoy your entree and dessert. I'm that order. Or have dessert first! This place has some heavy traffic on the summer weekends. So make sure you make a reservation! The menu is loaded with all the supper club favorites. My friends enjoyed their steak and said it was perfectly cooked. I had the Sheriffs special and would order it again. I would like to add how quick and orderly the waitstaff worked together to clear plates and bring out entrees. Properly muddled old fashions made this bar a fun place to take out of state friends who have not had a prober WI oldie. If I am ever in the area again, I will be back! Would never go there again. Have small lap service Yorkie ,and Rene wanted him on foot rail or floor. Lays in my lap you will never know he is there.He is medical alert and goes with me everywhere. He cannot alert if on the floor are you kidding me. Could have had them fined $500 to $600 dollars, but chose to finish drink and leave under rude stares. Was there with a friend taking me out for my Birthday. Disrespectful and rude to anyone that needs a service dog and will never go back there again. I would not give them even 1 star but had to put one to post this. read more

We went with another couple on a Saturday night. The place was packed. It was my first time there. The interior is old-school classic Wisconsin supper club, clean and inviting. The bartender was very nice and funny. The staff, and waitress were all very friendly. The prices were great and the food was awesome. I enjoyed a 14 oz NY strip with soup and salad for only $26. That meal would have been $85 to $95 in Milwaukee. The steak was cook perfectly and seasoned well. The beef barely soup was delicious. The side salad was just okay, nothing special and nothing to write home about. read more

Are you looking for a solid Wisconsin supper club experience? Well, this might just be your place! We called ahead to make a reservation and we're seated immediately. Our waitress brought us our *strong* old fashioneds and we sipped away while perusing the menu. We started with piping hot cheese curds - the curds were delicious, but wholly unnecessary when we saw what came next. We placed our dinner order: 1/4 chicken, ribs, and a tenderloin filet. First up, our side salads. They typically have a salad bar but with covid they bring the salads to your table with veggies and egg. Then comes the cheese tray with a variety of cold pack cheeses and crackers, so Wisconsin. Then came the chicken dumpling soup...also included with your meal. The soup was delicious! Well...at this point, I was full and our food hadn't even come out yet! We received our food and the first few bites were terrific but seeing that we had already essentially had a full meal, we decided it was probably best to just wrap it up to go. Tenderloin was excellent. The veteran waitress we had was abrupt and rude. Otherwise, an old favorite. Miss the salad bar!

So growing up in NE wi I've been to a few super clubs i can't justify spending 50$ for two people to have an ok steak i don't think it's worth going out of your way to eat here there's probably not much better food in the area but I'll stay home instead of going here read more

Best steak since forever. Old fashion supper club meal at a reasonable price. We do not come to Crivitz without eating here.

We met another couple here for Friday night fish while vacationing in the area. The brandy old fashioneds were fantastic but the fish fell flat. The deep fried haddock was pretty chewy according to a few at our table while others in our group had steak which they expressed was just ok. Overall it wasn't a bad experience and we'd likely go back again to try something else. read more

Great fine dining supper club!! I have been coming here for years and would love to give the 5 stars, but my recent visit was not the usual Rene's perfection. I love this place and it is a must go to anytime you're near high falls! Like up north supper clubs, you order at the bar. Enjoy a cocktail or two while you wait. When you're called to your table, enjoy the luscious salad bar with home made soup! Salad bar has usual toppings and cheeses, several salad and awesome crouton bread. You get a loaf of bread brought to you as well. I always have the steak combo with battered walleye. Their steaks are buttery and delicious. (Mine was way under cooked, and I did have to send it back- never have had to do that before, so I'll chalk it up to a mix up, hence the 4 star) I will be back next time I'm here, so next month, and the following and the next month too! read more

We have been coming to Renes for dinner for many years. We have a cottage in the area and this is the best place to go for great drinks and outstanding food. The bartenders are friendly and the Old Fashioneds are perfect! Nice salad bar with lots of options, comes with every meal. My husband always gets the Tenderloin Steak, which is probably the most popular item on the menu. I have tried everything on the menu and all of it was fantastic! I can never make up my mind as to what to order, because it's all so good. Never had a bad drink or a bad meal. Reservations would be best, otherwise you may wait over an hour for a table. We came up to this area to get arrest m away fron the city, so decided to try this "Wisconsin" supper club. I heard the Old Fashioneds were the best and they weren't kidding. Arrived at 7:25 pm on Saturday August 31st to a full bar area. We were trying to locate someone to talk to about getting a table by the 3rd waitress we were asked if we had a reservation. We said no and we were told it would be 45 minutes so we found 2 chairs at the bar. Before sitting down looked in the dinning area and saw 4 open tables and thought this will go quickly. At 8:15 they took our food order at the bar and now there was 7 open tables. At 8:45 we were seated to a now half empty dinning room and enjoyed the salad bar. Our food arrived at 9:05 pm which was chicken and a tenderloin. The food was good and we departed at 9:30.We did not expect or want to spend 2 hours here. We felt like we were played by the management on how many drinks they could milk out of us. First time I came here was back 1969 and always enjoyed the place as a child and as a adult but not this time ! read more
