What a delicious sandwich we had here my wife and I split one as it was our first time here and I gotta say she went back the following day to have another one. That's how good they were. They also had a vinaigrette or some kind of sauce that came with the sandwich. It was almost like dipping sauce, and it was phenomenal. Highly recommended The staff at this place was super friendly, and A almost felt as though you were at home the place was super cool. Had a lot of pictures a lot of memories from the owner's family. That was really cool to see as well. Definitely going back here very soon.

I think if you are purely getting bakery items such as pastries and bread - or any one of the beautiful desserts you can't go wrong - their batards are one of my personal faves. I ate in for the first time for breakfast and had the croque monsieur (full disclosure: I am a slight croque monsieur snob) but was a little disappointed. Béchamel sauce was on the bland side and while there had been some spread inside the bread (croissant loaf I believe - also didn't love that choice) there was no actual cheese inside, only ham. My dad had the salmon Monsieur and his was actually delicious and it was like eating a completely different Béchamel. Will return as the staff are friendly and efficient and pastries are yummy.

Stopped by for lunch on my recent trip to Sarasota. I had the best chicken sandwich. It had sun dried tomatoes & amazing mayo. My boyfriend loves this location, and it is not a wonder. Definitely worth the trip.

Just today I got croissant with scrambled eggs to go, but it did not go further than their parking lot. With respect to all French bakeries around- this is the best! Crowded, but service is quick. Love their Amandine as well..

My first time here with my husband. The customer service was a pleasure from Maria. The food was wonderful. From the main dish to the dessert. We sat outside. We like the touch they added with the mini Eiffel Tower model. Nice touch to supplement the beautiful Florida weather outside. The only con of sitting outdoors is the uninvited greedy guests known as flies that relentlessly tried to plant their filthy legs on our food. Nevertheless, we enjoyed our visit. We learned the owners are from France. So if you're looking for true expertise in French cuisine, look no further.

Let's all meet up here... rendezvous!! Nice unique French pastry shop in large plaza. They had a decent sized lunch menu on top of the pasties & desserts. Staff is all French here. Little bossy when our large party entered as the host said we were in her way. Feel like we're actually in Europe. Then as some left to go else where she exclaimed "where are you going!" Lol. The gentleman taking order was extra polite. Got a couple pastries & the French hotdog (beef inside a puff pastry)! Delicate n fluffy!! The description said beef sausage, but it was definitely just a hotdog. Side of fresh fruit or salad included. The fruit medley was perfect. Apricot danish was crispy outside & gooey & sweet inside. All the pastries looked amazing.

Loved coming here but not sure if there's a new baker or what? Last few visits the chocolate croissant I order has been chewy and you're lucky if you get more than 2 bites chocolate. The hot coco is not French where it's that rich flavor thickness just plain ole milk and syrup Starbucks is better.

Their cakes are absolutely amazing and will be a big hit for any occasion. We have gone with chocolate and banana multiple times. Even the people that say "just a very small piece" always go back for more with this cake. Everything on their menu is delicious. Sandwiches, salads, quiches and pastries are fresh and tasty. As soon as I walked in and saw the pastries in the case, heard the French being spoken, looked at the menu... I knew this would be good. I wasn't disappointed! Literally everything on the menu! The coffee could use upgrading as there are so many yummy pastries that should have a great coffee and/ tea accompaniment. The salads are amazingly good and very fresh. If sitting outside the traffic is a bit loud to be truest enjoyable on a Sunday morning. Great job !!!! read more

The food here is awesome! I have never had anything less than delectable! The only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is the woman that waits on us is rude, extremely hurried, impatient, and acts like she hates her job. There's a young man there that is good and a few others that are pleasing, and we always hope we'll get them, but unfortunately usually get the mean lady. I am tiring of the Covid excuse of being "short handed" for rude and bad service. Other than that it's a great place! read more

This is THE place to go for an omelette! No one in town makes an omelette as thin and fluffy! I wish I took a picture. I will next time. The staff speaks both English and French. I enjoyed hearing people having conversations en Français. My omelette came with fresh orange slices, grapes, cantelope, and 2 slices French bread. Good deal for $8! I absolutely love this quaint little French cafe. Their menu options can really please anyone yet are very authentic French. Their prices are extremely reasonable for the quality of food and everything they have in their is FRESH MADE daily! I had the puff pastry with chicken, mushrooms, bechamel sauce and cheese and it was to die for. Their croissants are quite large, fluffy and buttery. We loved Rendez-Vous so much we even took an eclair to go! 10/10 would recommend. read more

I'm in Sarasota visiting family and was told this was a must try. The food was fresh and the owner so so kind. He was walking around checking in with people as I waited for my food. I got the croque monsieur and a cafe au lait. I was satisfied with my sandwich but under impressed with my coffee. The pastries looked delicious. My regret is not trying the almond croissant or the apple turnover. The smell of the pastries coming out of the oven was heavenly. In short, I'm a fan! read more

Great French bread options. Skip the sandwiches as they barely wave the filling over it and call it a day. Pastries are okay- some better than others. Small place with limited parking. Get there early, once the daily options are gone, you are out of luck! read more

Amazing, authentic French bakery!! The mimosas were made with freshly squeezed orange juice and served in a champagne glass with a cute pink sugar rim. The croissant was buttery and had an amazing, flaky texture. French onion soup was full of flavor and very well-balanced. The egg on the croque madame was cooked PERFECTLY. Lastly, the prices were SO REASONABLE and the service was excellent. We were in Florida on vacation but I wish there was a Rendez-Vous in Colorado so we could come here all the time! read more

This little cafe is delightful from start to finish. Attentive staff, delicious and simple French fare with exquisite attention to detail. A great find in a little strip mall. We had the Salad Niçoise, a croissant with chicken and curry mayo and the croissant with ham and Brie. We followed it up with an eclair and the mousse cake pictured(made this morning). Délicieux! Located off Clark next to Chick-fil-A. Kind of hidden in the corner. I got a Chocolate Almond Croussaint and a Cappuccino to go. Both were good but nothing special, the service was fast. The only thing keeping it from 4 stars is the croussaint wasn't warm, so I probably just need to come a little sooner next time. I got there around 1pm which may have been a little late. I'll update the review next time I go, and I'll be sure to try one of their omelletes. read more

I have had wonderful service over the last two years there but today stopped in for a cappucino after I just picked up my brand new car ,yes I double parked it , slightly over the line, but one of the employees decided he would be parking lot police and decided to park his scooter right next to my car and I couldn't get in. I immediatly stood up and walked over and told him I'm sorry I double-parked on purpose give me a second and I will move my car and instead he just started screaming and yelling at me no consideration that I might be a patron at his restaurant I work in retail and the customers are always right no matter what. I did apologize for double parking I did tell him I would move my car but instead he was a total jerk . AND HE SLAMMED HIS FIST ON MY TRUNK. $200 to fix it. I should have called the police but i just wanted to leave. I will never go back and I will never recommend it to anybody now just in case they get that crazy employee absolutely no support from the owner. Only a total stranger tried to calm psyco man down but to no avail. read more

My family in Australia ordered a cake to be sent to me in Sarasota for my 90th birthday. It was delivered by the baker himself and what a cake! Beautifully decorated and every mouthful was delicious. I could go on. I've taken friends there for breakfast and everything was excellent. I'm so lucky that they chose my neighborhood to open their wonderful bakery/restaurant so I no longer have to drive downtown. If there were 10 stars, that's what I'd have given them. read more

This place is amazing. Talk about a real French place owned by French people with beautiful French accents. The food is just sooo good. I actually got a hot dog "French" style. The hot dog was one of the best hot dogs I've ever had. I've lived in Sarasota basically my whole life and have been to a many French restaurants and this place is by far the best. FYI the food and this place is addicting. read more

Undoubtedly the most authentic French bakery/café in the area! The sandwiches and pastries are delicious, and eating there is truly like dining in France. Joel, the owner, had a bakery in the south of France before coming to Sarasota, so he and his wife bring the art of French bread making and pastries to life in our area. This is one culinary experience you will not want to miss! read more

If you want to experience real French food made by a French chef, this is the place for you. My family and I stopped here on a whim and I had the quiche. Light, fluffy, delicious. My kids had different baked items, and each one was as good as the next. Thank you for a little taste of heaven. read more
