Not sure why, but Yelp offered me another chance to review this business - so I'm taking it. I'm…read moregoing to copy/paste the last review I gave because it's still true and it appears (based on newer reviews) that Alex continues to do sub-standard work. He has also created other Yelp profiles in an attempt to evade the consequences of the negative reviews that keep piling up. As you'll see below, there is lots of effort put into avoiding consequences rather than actually dealing with the problems that Alex's sub-standard work creates. Here's my last review with some edits for clarity: Caveat emptor. Alex was hired to fix a flat roof that didn't drain. He quoted, was the lowest price (red flag missed), and we paid a deposit and agreed to a start date. That date came & went and we had to call and text before we got a reply with an excuse (2nd red flag missed). This was the first of many, many text/call attempts. Most were not returned. Those that were returned had lots of excuses (got a new phone, sickness, etc.). In the end, there was much more effort put into offering excuses than doing work or solving problems. Eventually, Alex's crew came out to do the work. They said they were finished about a week later than they promised when they showed up (more excuses and reasons instead of performance). Alex requested payment of the balance that day. I took a hose up on the roof to test their work and it still didn't drain. I sent Alex a video and he said he would come out to fix it. The next time it rained, the roof leaked. It had not leaked before - only didn't drain. So Alex's company left the roof worse than it was when they started. The next few months were full of many promises to fix the roof, but nothing changed. Alex eventually said it needed a drain installed and we agreed, hoping that was the answer. Now there's an ugly PVC pipe sticking out of the front of the house and the roof still leaks. Alex has stopped responding at all. The leak has caused $1,000s of damage to insulation, drywall, and left 1/2 the garage unusable. I hope this is a caution - it's a roll of the dice if you hire Spartan roofing.

From my experience with dealing with this roofing company and of dealing with Alex Simpson…read moredirectly, he should be put in jail and his company shut down. He is not thrust worthy, lies, uses sub standard materials and uses unknowable roofing workers. In addition his guarantee is No guarantee. If you want to take a total loss on having to redo your roof or have continual problems with your roof use him otherwise find a reputable roofing company. I had my whole roof redone by him in 2023. I immediately had follow up issues that he would not repair - nor would call me back. I finally gave up and had items repaired by another company. Now two years later, I have a major problem and I can not get hold of him again and have had three different roofing companies now tell me that my problem is due to substandard materials being used and poor workmanship. I now find out his license has been revoked and many tradesmen in the industry know of his bad practices!

A couple of my neighbors used JWF, and I also saw many positive recommendations for them on Nextdoor. After a tile blew off during a recent storm, I took that as my sign to stop procrastinating and get it done. I contacted JWF on a Friday evening, and they were out Saturday morning for an inspection. They started the job on Wednesday and were finished by Thursday afternoon. Pricing was competitive, the crew was hardworking and efficient, and everything was cleaned up when the work was done. I still can't believe how easy they made the entire process. I expected it to be a lot more stressful, like most major house projects. Communication was great from start to finish, and they kept me updated with photos. The owner also came on-site both days to check on everything and talk through any questions I had. I especially appreciated the attention to detail. None of the other companies I met with seemed to care as much, with some saying they would just put any mismatched tiles in the back. JWF doesn't do that. They even replaced mismatched tiles that were already in the back from a previous repair, and any paint they used was matched to the house. I'd definitely recommend JWF to anyone needing roof work!

Due to yelp messaging not going through, I left a review stating the issue was no response from…read morecontractor. This is an updated review. Skyler came by and looked at my job and gave me a straight forward honest assessment of what condition my roof was in. I originally wanted only the AC roof replaced and while looking at that, he noticed several parts of the roof were almost at the end of life. Although there was probably a year or more still left on the life, I decided to go ahead and get the re-roof done. He was very polite, honest and stated that he could do whatever needed to be done when they get into the job. He quoted me a price that was 2 thousand dollars more than my best estimates, but he stated that he would do whatever needed to be done when started. There turned out to be more rotten wood due to an ac leak a few years ago so there was more plywood needing replacement. He went and got all the extra wood and replaced it without any hassles. The previous roofers would not commit to that and I was told that any additional supplies would be more money. Skyler stayed in touch with me all through the process and communicated whatever issues were found, and once again was all inclusive i the estimate. they also replaced an additional 20 feet of facia boards that were not rotten, but warped, added additional roof tiles that were damaged, and blended the non matching tiles to my roof and left me additional for future in case they are needed. One more thing I especially liked was that the crew were very fast and knowledgeable on the roofing system I have. my wife was upset though that they made a very big mess all around the house with debris and dust and the kitchen was very dirty from the skylight being removed above the kitchen while blowing dust from roof. I would have expected this, but my wife is a clean freak so I don't think was an issue. After the job was done, the area was cleaned, hosed, and all debris was removed and the roof looks great. I would highly recommend them for more work and although they are new and not have many reviews here, I would not be discouraged by that as i said, they did a great job with everything. I waited to post this review until after the rain to see how it would perform. After all the wind and rain, there was not a single issue. All water drained, and the roof performed perfectly.

After an extremely frustrating experience with another restoration company that did nothing for two weeks other than blow fans, take moisture reads while driving up my insurance claim, working with Exact Restoration was truly a night and day difference and literally a breath of fresh air! From the moment they became involved, they were ten steps ahead. Communication was clear, consistent and proactive. I was kept informed about what they were finding, what needed to happen next, and why. My questions were answered even before asking them. There were no excuses, no unnecessary delays, and no leaving me wondering what was happening with my own home! This is how restoration should be done. Trevor, in particular, has been phenomenal. He's an absolute wealth of information but just as importantly, he brings tremendous integrity, professionalism and humanity to his work. Dealing with significant water intrusion in your home is incredibly stressful, and having someone who is knowledgeable, responsive, straightforward and genuinely kind makes an enormous difference. Trevor made a very difficult situation so much easier to navigate. What also impressed me was the measured approach Exact Restoration took. They weren't looking to make the situation bigger and more expensive than it needed to be. They assessed what was actually necessary, explained their reasoning, and moved the work forward efficiently and professionally. After what I had experienced previously, that level of integrity meant everything to me. The difference between the two experiences could not have been more dramatic. What had previously become prolonged and unnecessarily complicated finally started moving once Exact Restoration stepped in. I went from constantly having to chase answers to working with a team that was already thinking several steps ahead. Their professionalism, communication, responsiveness and integrity have far exceeded my expectations. In an industry where homeowners are often calling because something has already gone terribly wrong, the people who show up afterward matter enormously. Exact Restoration understands that. I would highly, highly recommend Trevor and the Exact Restoration team to anyone dealing with water damage/restoration. They have been nothing short of exceptional, and I am incredibly grateful I was finally connected with them. I guarantee you'll be in very capable hands!!
