My house was ridden with random wall holes in almost every room that seemed to grow every year. In addition, I had a prior contractor move a pass through door and subsequently made it way too narrow, so narrow that only a skinny adult or small child could squeeze through. My poor shoulders literally got scratched walking through. Dave and Daren performed the following projects: widened the small doorway and fixed shoddy prior work, patched 8 electrical cut out boxes (old cable/lan lines/tv hidden wire boxes), ceiling light move hole patched, big 10x20" cutout from a plumbing project, float out old drywall repair that had a big vertical seam. He was highly skilled at the patchwork, sheetrock installation/mudding/taping/texture spraying. I appreciated how quickly they worked and the quality of every job. A lot of the work was detailed but also technical in terms of fixing that doorway. They nailed it. In addition, Dave arrived promptly at 7:00am each day as promised, did an immaculate job taping and containing the areas in plastic to ensure no overspray got on my stuff. Extremely professional and friendly quick service. We had 4 cracks that needed to be repaired, two of which were in the same location opposite of each other near a light fixture. Through a bit of miscommunication on both our ends really, one side was missed. I called to hopefully get them to come out knowing they are busy and they were able to come out the next day to patch up the second spot. Dave's Drywall was out to repair about a dozen or so small cracks and separations at our house in Gilbert. The longest crack was six feet and most were less than two feet. I hate to leave bad reviews, but my son pointed out that I depend on others' reviews, so I owe it to others to relate my experience. The guy was very personable, arrived promptly, and most of the work he did was very good. They gave me a price of $500 for a day's work which seemed reasonable and I was sure a pro could do all the work in day. First, they didn't specify that a day was less than four hours. He arrived promptly at eight and was gone before noon. While working, he missed cracks that we had gone over the week previously for the price. One was about two feet long, very visible, and only a few feet from another crack he worked on. I asked him about it and he readily fixed it. He also fixed a four foot crack that I had failed to include in the price. The main problem is that after he left, I found several shorter, finer ones that he missed. He also talked me out of fixing areas around new flooring on stairs, saying that paint would fix it. When I got ready to paint, it was apparent that paint would NOT fix it. Fixing the stairs was definitely part of the original price. I have done all aspects of construction work and I have spent the last three days fixing what wasn't done. (I'm not implying that Dave's should have spent three days on it. I'm 70 and slow. I also take long breaks!) The most unfortunate part for us is that this work is a stopgap for us. We are going to be doing a major remodel, moving walls and changing the floor plan. I really wanted to have someone I could trust to do good drywall work. I'll look further. If you use Dave's, be sure to specify the number of hours they will work and make a list of repairs you expect done and/or put blue tape on each location. Be specific and don't be dissuaded from expecting good, finished work. I should have known better. Learn from me. read more

Travis promptly returned my call, and gave me a reasonable estimate to install drywall celling in my patio and to repair some of the existing celling. He staged the material at my home the day before so the guys could get right to the job the next morning. Daren and Travis (different Travis) were the craftsmen that performed the installation and repairs. Both very skilled at their trade, and worked well together, worked clean and very conscientious about their work. The end result was well beyond what I expected. I was needing some shelving painted and around 15 sq. ft. of texture re-done so I went to Yelp my go to source for local businesses. I was under the gun on this repair because I was selling the house and needed this work done ASAP. I found Dave's Drywall Repair which had really good reviews so I decided to give them a try. I gave them a call and the person answering the phone sounded good, professional and seemed to know what he was talking about. He gave me a quote of $325.00 and told me that they would be out to the house the following day right around noon and for me to text over my contact information and the address for my house. I immediately shot him over a text with all the information. I did not hear anything for around 4 hours so I gave him a call to make sure that he had received everything ok and that we were good to go, he assured me that everything was good. I had a couple of appointments that I canceled for the following day so that I could get this job done and was sitting around waiting for Dave's Drywall to show up. It was around 1:30pm and no Dave's Drywall so I sent him a text asking when they were going to arrive. It was getting to be around 2:30 and there was no response so I gave them a call, no answer so I left a voice mail. I sat around waiting for quite a while and gave them another call around 4:00pm, left voice mail and still no call back. It is now almost 10:30am the next day and I have still not heard back from them and have a looming house closing and having to scramble to look for another dry waller. read more

Oh man! Let's just say this company does AWESOME drywall! Really awesome. I collected over a dozen small patches around the house, some which had been cracked before...and PRESTO..they were gone. They take prepping very seriously, in fact, half the total time was for prepping. I would expect a bit of dust and white debris afterward, but come on...they are doing drywall the right way as they explained. Prices are fair for experts and I would recommend that you go with someone who does this for living...its somewhat of an art. I called Dave's drywall and spoke to Scott about a small job consisting of a laundry room wall, two ceiling, and two wall patches. Scott quoted me about a day's worth of work which seemed about right to me. At the same time, I contacted another contractor on Yelp and was quoted a price about $300 higher than Scott's quote which did not seem reasonable at all (still for one day of work). Needless to say, I went with Scott's estimate. On the day of the repair, a man named Ken showed up on time and performed all the work. Ken did a great job and even touched up some additional flaws in the area's of repair. Ken stuck to Scott's estimate and even gave us a bit of a discount for paying in cash. I would recommend them to anyone who needs anything drywall related. I was concerned that the texture wouldn't match the existing wall after I needed a portion of wall about 6 feet tall and 3 feet wide built but I couldn't be happier with the outcome! If you look VERY closely you can see that the texture is SLIGHTLY different than that of the existing wall but they did a great job at getting a very close match and blending it together very nicely.
